So is there a consensus on what the best quality/price racing wheel/pedals is? Mainly for rally with RBR and Dirt Rally. Money is technically not an issue, but I really don't want to overpay. Something for a guy who really likes racing and wants a great experience, but is not extremely serious about it, it's still just a videogame for him. My main concern is the build quality, since I usually keep my gaming peripherals for many years. Three pedals and stick shift should be included. If not, I'd like some recommendations on them, too.

If not, I'd like some recommendations on them, too.[/QUOTE] Someone with more knowledge on wheels, feel free to jump in (don't even have one) but as far as i've seen, Logitech Driving Force GT and the G27/G29 (in my country a second-hand G27 is the same price as a brand new DFGT, both ~150 euros)

IMO you get what you pay for, even the g29 has weak ffb and the shifter is a piece of plasticy grabage but it probably not worth paying more if your not going to use it much

I'm pretty content with my Fanatec gear, but it was hella expensive

i've used my g25 since 2009, i briefly had a fanatec gt2, but the belt was worn out after two years, went back to the g25 and it's still just fine.

I love my G27, but am thinking about stepping up to thrustmaster stuff mainly for a chunkier shifter. Big price jump there, and it only increases as you look at fanatec or other stuff. 2nd hand logitech probably best value.

From what I gathered in a day, is that t300 is superior to the g29 (except the pedals), but it's also more prone to failure and bad tech support. Though choice.

So in actual simracing news, Kunos got Porsche. Three of the cars they revealed for Assetto Corsa were the Moby Dick 935, the 962, and the [b]fucking 917k[/b] Whatever DLC this is is an instabuy for me. EDIT: sorry, clarification, I read about it before watching it. The trailer is live action so those are not necessarily confirmed, however they were featured pretty prominently and are highly requested so it makes sense.

The driving physics are actually quite different from Forza 4 to Forza 6 - I find it really difficult to drift properly on Apex, even with the right car and some tuning. Maybe it's just that the upgrades made cars so much easier to drift in F4...
