Apparantly there's going to be a drone mode in FH3 where you can fly a drone and take pics/videos (in realtime and in MP too)

Is it me or is Apex weird when it comes to slowing down for corners? Slowing down itself is fine, but soon as you try to slow down and turn at the same time, the concept of slowing goes out the window, it just doesn't happen.
I've never had this before in a racing game where your car keeps so much speed going into a corner if you turn while braking, it's throwing my ability to perceive braking distance was out of wack because I have to way overcompensate my braking for any turn I try to make.

Seems fine to me, I've noticed the super cars seem to have really shitty tires though, they slip and slide everywhere.
I went and dug out my old sidewinder FFB wheel/pedals today. Still works just as well as the day I got it. I'm glad that most racing games nowadays seem to support it, too.
Oh yeah, I found my old Wingman Formula Force too. The rubber on the wheel has gotten really sticky and awful-feeling though, any ideas on how to fix that?

I wish microsoft still made peripherals other than the 360 controller. The Sidewinder FF2 is just about the best non HOTAS joystick out there.
Is there a reason to use clutch when shifting gears in dirt rally? I haven't tried the older cars, but at least in Polo Rally when I don't use clutch it doesn't make any difference. I don't even know if it's supported without H shifter, because the only options with clutch look like this:

There is no "manual + clutch", only blah blah + clutch OR sequential.

I use the clutch even when using a controller, not for changing gears, it's not needed, but for clutch kicking or when using the handbrake.
So yeah it works without an H shifter.

I know that the clutch works, but it's not needed for shifting gears. It only works that way with H-shifter, but not with any other mode, sadly.
theres an override option somewhere iirc, tbh i dont really like h pattern or clutch in dirt if you fuck up it takes forever to get going again

Override option is the option that allows you to use the clutch at all in the first place. There's no support for clutch in gear changing for sequential yet, I looked it up.

Is there a way to pre-order Horizon 3 for PC (yet?). Specifically the different editions like Ultimate?
Is there a way to pre-order Horizon 3 for PC (yet?). Specifically the different editions like Ultimate?
Yeah, if you go to the main page there's a pre-order button with all the options.

Assuming the Play Everywhere thing works...

Oh yeah, just didn't notice because I forced the site on the Dutch version and it didn't have pre-orders. Clicking 'pre-order' shows 'Console: Xbox One' but I guess it'd work for both if I get it digitally. Thanks!

Also wow, Ultimate is only 10 euros more expensive than Ultimate. If you have the money and you know you'll like it it def. seems worth it

I'm planning to buy the most ultimate version and all the DLC for FH3. Horizon 1 was by far and away everything I dreamed of from a racing title when it released, and for the franchise to come to PC with so many improvements (and unlocked framerate yaaaaa) it's going to be insane.

QUATTRO S1 YEAAAA :excited:
Fuck yeah Dirt Rally is 40% off
I have been looking forward to this day for months
The V8 Supercars in Forza 6 sound disappointing. Nothing like how they really sound.
I hate how games rarely have nice "driving" roads. It's always some alps shit with straight and a 180 turn and another straight
I want stuff like this

Test Drive Unlimited 1 & 2 had lots of great roads for cruising on. My favorite thing was to get some of the more reasonable cars like a '04 Pontiac GTO and just cruise around with friends and randoms across Oahu. You had switchback mountain paths, tight city grids, open interstates and winding rural roads.
Shame the physics in the first game are so-so at best and dogshit in the second.

Horizon 3 looks to have just this. From what we've seen of the map there are some very long roads into the outback with sweeping turns as opposed to tight ones. I wouldn't be surprised if some could be taken in excess of 200mph, which means they should be the perfect kind to cruise on.

Any idea how large the map is? Horizon 1 had a pathetic map size, it took like 20 minutes tops to circle the level in just about any car.
In comparison, circling TDU1's map took - at minimum - 50 minutes. TDU2's map was about 30 minutes.

Twice as large as Horizon 2's map. It wasn't specified whether that was in total area, or twice the length and height (probably not the latter, as that would be four times as large).

For starters, the PS4 actually needs decent simracers, or anything even close, to begin with.

Does anyone know why I can't connect to online games in Forza 6? My NAT is open, firewall is set to lax etc, but I can't connect to any games. I was able to last night, after midnight, but I can't at any other time. It's ridiculous. Means I have to play with Europeans and Americans and it's not exactly the most lag-free experience.

Found this online (not sure if it's reliable)

FH3 will be twice as big as FH2
if thats the true size then fh3 will be huge.
I've been playing The Crew recently as its free on xbox at the moment
It's pretty fun, but the car selection is pretty boring. Standard muscle and super car selection. I find mysler mostly driving the M5. The map is the real star, it's nice to just drive for miles before you hit the boundary.
It takes about half an hour to cross in a fast car. NY to LA is about 70 road miles

Yeah, I really like The Crew. I love how it's built-up where you play the first few hours on the West Coast and then you look at the map and realize you haven't even seen a quarter of the map
Oh man I loved the around the island challenge in TDU1, ~50 minutes of driving at million kmh trying not to hit anything
Oh man I loved the around the island challenge in TDU1, ~50 minutes of driving at million kmh trying not to hit anything
i usually just drove around at like 150-200km/h, that was pretty good pace on most roads.
