It's just regular forza but stock tires are equivalent to racing slicks in FM
Can you modify cars in the Forza Horizon games to the extent of turning a Camaro into a Baja truck that looks like it would belong in Mad Max? That's one of my favorite things about The Crew, and it would especially fit well into Horizon 3's Australia setting. I know Horizon 3 has off-road vehicles, but they all look like they were specifically designed for it and not adapted from regular cars. On second thought, did Forza Horizon even have customization at all? I only played the first one and it was so long ago I don't even remember.
Yeah, Horizon has all of the physical tuning parts (engines/cosmetic) as whichever FM game comes before it and usually more cosmetic parts. You can't *visually* turn a Camaro into an offroad racer but you can equip it with offroad tires and extremely soft suspension. Horizon 1 and 2 both had an offroad-oriented expansion that added offroad parts to EVERY car, even stuff that makes no sense like a Ford GT or whatever. The customisation is great but not as strong or wild as The Crew. You definitely can have offroaders that aren't just buggies if that answers your question.
I now have a laptop capable of handling AC but my work hours make it so I cannot attend the track days :-(

So you could put anti-roll bars and new suspension on a car, but not tweak the properties of them.
So.. Assetto Corsa or Project Cars?
I went with the "Why not both?" approach so I can participate in more trackdays.
So guys I've got an old MS Sidewinder wheel set and I was wondering if it would work with AC or PCARS
So guys I've got an old MS Sidewinder wheel set and I was wondering if it would work with AC or PCARS
As someone who also uses an old MS Sidewinder, it works on Dirt Rally as long you tweak with the settings a little.
So guys I've got an old MS Sidewinder wheel set and I was wondering if it would work with AC or PCARS
Can confirm it does. It works for me in PCars without even having to set anything up.
Can confirm it does. It works for me in PCars without even having to set anything up.
As long as you have the USB version, it does perfectly. I have the Gameport one from like '98 and it's not usable on anything higher than XP SP2
So I picked up The Crew:Wild Run in the sale after initially blowing it off due to numerous complaints. Physics feel horrendously boaty/floaty but other than that, the game is a right blast and almost a spiritual successor for the Test Drive Unlimited series. Heres a snap I got after a few hours playtime! (thumbed because fuckhuge) [t]http://puu.sh/pKr9A/b94422dcc7.png[/t] [editline]29th June 2016[/editline] Also not sure where that black bar has come from... E: Top of the page, have another! [t]http://puu.sh/pKFT6/63e29e26af.png[/t]
Did anyone else have a problem with their DFGT on Assetto Corsa? Even when I tell the game it's a 900 degree wheel it treats it as a 200 degree wheel.
I've been waiting to get my hands on my dfgt, only 1.5 weeks more ;( Somehow I have a feeling that forza won't be very good with a wheel because it's always been a gamepad game
Sorry guys, just found out that I won't have a computer during the AC trackday

I hate looking at that giant list of cars i dont feel like i actualy own any of them.

I'm also absolute trash in all of them when I play with a gamepad.

Do you have any specific mods I should install for AC track days? Speaking of which, when is the next one?

Just picked up a 599xx Evo 30 wheel rim for the T300. Cost about £105, usually £150! Feel free to add me on Steam if you own Assetto Corsa or Dirt Rally, always looking to have some fun driving!
I'm a bit rusty. Not done much simracing for a while.
like i said half of us are retarded anyway. personally most of the time I just end up drifting or taking dumb shortcuts that don't work too well.
Sorry I couldn't join today's trackday, won't be able to join for a while now.
what it's over already? dammit i just finished washing my car
what it's over already? dammit i just finished washing my car
Yeah we did F1 GTR/996 Biturbo @ C1 loop and everyone was too dead to continue afterwards. Was fun but a gym workout too. I'll leave the server up for a few hours. Feel free to goof around. I'll probably join but be cruising.
2-3 hours of AC is plenty to murder yourself.
If you sick Eurodudes could do a 5PM GMT+1 race sometime I could actually join you and lag all over the place like the dirty American I am. Otherwise, n0cturni and I could start an American track day sometime, just need to find other sim racers.

I'd be up for doing track days slightly later though. also your lag will never keep up with suxin and his 700 ping.
