Come on guys, you can't mention NFS IV's soundtrack without posting Callista.

NFS III: Hot Pursuit's menu theme was great too.

Then again, the soundtracks for NFS III and IV were both really great.
NFS III had some baller shit, but so did NFS II

NFS IV's was great too but in a different way. Mainly because it wasn't interactive like II and III - that was their real strength.
Don't know why but I really can't get along with these sort of orchestral soundtracks racing games are going for now.
Yeah it usually felt like over the top. I think they would work better in-game. I also remembered GRID's approach to music, it used tracks like these during important races
and it got shitton of emotions from me

All Need for Speed pre Underground had great soundtracks, but then they moved to the whole gangster theme.
Got hit by a nostalgia wave here and decided to install pcsx2 and GT4. Cue me spending an hour trying to unsuccessfully set it up with my wheel :suicide:
It was still a blast playing with a controller though.
Can spoof any wheel as a DF, DFP, or GT Force in PCSX2.
ToCA 2 Touring Cars had e-z rollers for the menu music

The ToCA games were brilliant. Full championship with qualifying, cockpit view, weather, tuning, full grid of 16 cars, split screen. Used to spend hours playing that.
Wow that song brings back memories of my childhood friend and his dad,i used to go to their's all the time and we'd play the playstation all the time and that was one of the games

That's the plugin I was testing it with but it refused to let me use it in game despite messing around with many different settings. There are no actual tutorials or guides for it which isn't that helpful. Even if I did get it working I am using pedals from another wheel which probably complicates it too much :v:

The Pursuit scores for Most Wanted and Hot Pursuit 2010 are really good, so is the composed soundtrack for The Run
the rest though, yeah, fuck that shit. and now it's generic edm mixed with hip hop, like why?

Right, forgot about those. But yeah, the licensed stuff made me just mute the music and run older titles scores in the background.

Huh that's weird, I tried it with my ancient Sidewinder wheel and it worked fine.

I think we're all forgetting the best song to come out of the Need for Speed series.

Most wanted 2005 had a wierd sense of scale.
you can cruise at 200km/h trough the city and it still feels slow.

I feel like The Run and HP2010 convey the feeling of speed really well though.
I love the Desert stages in The Run, especially the challenge series event with the Sesto Elemento.
Hot Pursuit 2010 was so damn good. Best of the "modern" era of Need for Speed games, and an awesome throwback to the classic pre-Underground Need for Speed.
The thing about HP2010 that pissed me off the most is that the DLC that included my favourite Lambo and a fun looking game mode was never released for PC, for no apparent reason.

I blame Criterion Games for that because Burnout Paradise on PC also missed out on a lot of good DLC that was on the consoles.

Hence why I bought it again on PS3, and it STILL didn't include all the DLC, missing a few cars only available on X360

Pisses me off that it took until NFS 2015 for the Diablo to be a starter car again and not DLC. Better stay that way in the next game. Bring back the Corvette C5 too.
Just got out of rookies in iRacing, not really sure where the whole "it's impossible" thing comes from.

In my experience, it's mostly people who fancy themselves as "pro" drivers that drive like shit who say that. You've probably met the type and they probably cost you some safety rating at some point.
Holy fucking shit. I was just in a lobby in Forza 6 and I noticed one player had the 'Ford Falcon XY'. I was just thinking what the hell that can't be right, but it was. Ford XY Falcon GTHO Phase III. How the hell can you access it? I can't see it in the store. For a Ford fan, this is literally the most-revered Ford car made in Australia. Fastest four door car in the world until the Lotus Carlton too, IIRC.

I bought an entire XB1 just in anticipation of Horizon 3, and it looks like that paid off. Would be a dream come true if it also had other cars like the XC Falcon Cobra, FTE TE50 T3, VH Valiant Charger R/T and VS ClubSport
The Falcon was a reward for playing in the Forza RC league last week. I'm not sure if there's any other way to obtain it but unfortunately you've missed the first chance. Either way it's confirmed as being in Horizon 3.
If you own Absolute drift there's an update out that adds some new content.
We added several new features to the game for the Zen Edition, including:
New “event challenges” that will extend the gameplay in the game’s 34 tracks by challenging players to complete increasingly difficult tasks.
Drift Lines: a new challenge in events where you must drift through all the dots.
5 all new “Midnight Events.” These night-themed tracks are designed to challenge even the most experienced players.
Replays and ghost cars. View your friends' runs or the best in the world!
An all new tutorial and in-game guide to help new players ease into the game’s features and controls.
The ability to choose different controller layouts.
New input system for better controller compatibility.
Cloud saves.
That game is a blast even with a controller, especially with this in the background:

Haven't played that since it came out. Sounds like should check it out again. With the appropriate soundtrack.
