Also, about Medieval.
If I just want to play lets say a Bard, can I do that or do I have to manage a whole kingdom?
Ah. Including stuff packs, right?
I believe so. I'm missing the Outdoors Living Stuff.
I had made a house in the Sims 3 a few days ago. It was massive and cost a TON of money to move it.
so then I try and move my family in that I spent a long time on and they don't have enough money to buy it.
so now its a waste.
The sims is so fun though.

Move into a house they can afford, place the big house somewhere in the town, use the motherlode cheat a few times and move in to it.

That's the pussy way to do it.
You climb the tree from the bottom, not from the top.
You go to work and get your money for the house. That way it's that much more rewarding when you get to move there.
This is my house when I moved to Sunset Valley the first time.
It's not too shabby, it was a bit smaller at the beginning, but I upgraded slightly.

This is my current mansion at Bridgeport now after ~ 250 days of work as a International Superspy and as a business shark.
I got my very own butler who cooks my food and cleans my shit for me. I used to do that all by myself back in the day. I got ~15 bastard children with 7 or 8 different women, I own the hottest club in town and I fuck bitches when ever I want, where ever I want.

From the start? No.
The first person you make is the King/Emporer/whatever. After a few quests, you'll have the funds to make the bards building. You can then always just choose quests which use the Bard, but you'll still have to do ones that involve other characters, and even ones that exclude the bard all together.
As far as I know, there isn't a way to play the game without quests or a time limit, so you'll be forced to do quests.
Ambitions have the building options, but it lacks the life stages -- unless if you count your child growing up.
My black haired lesbian couple conceived a child, but that kid grew up a redhead. Huh.
Your black haired lesbian couple conceived a child and you are suprised of the hair color.
Right.

By the way guys, I'm considering getting an expansion pack for the Sims 3. What do you think is the best one out there?

Get all of them. There's no reason to not get all of them.

Alright, they seriously need to fix this interaction/work bug I want to play! :(

I'd say the order goes:
Late Night > Ambitions > World Adventures.
Still haven't tried out Generations yet, but based on what I've seen, it would go inbetween Ambitions and World Adventures.
I made a nice preppy perfect family, then gave them a balding insane housemate with terrible fashion sense. From what I can tell, he's slowly driving the family mad.
FUCKING NIGGERS I CAN'T FIND MY SIMS 3 DISK JESUS CHRIST WHY
Holy shit I need to calm down.

Same here and I don't want to buy an expansion pack.
I usually play it when my internet is slow or if I'm downloading something.
Just found my disk along with Ambitions and WA.
The funny thing is, i don't want to install them. They didn't really add much. WA could have been better, and Ambitions is just...
why mad chuck?
Huh, I never really torture my sims.
Although I always give him an alien wife :v:
I had a hot lesbian couple until generations, then I kicked one out and moved in a man just to turn the house into a baby factory. Too bad I forgot to divorce the first wife. :sigh:

Noiiiiiice
I miss the alien abductions, there was the cool one where you could actually end up kidnapping an alien of the opposite gender :v:
Although it sometimes bugged and you ended up with an alien of the same gender following you around for some odd reason. It was like Slenderman or something.
Oh shit, just thought of the most horrifying mod ever...Slenders. Now you can be mentally and physically tortured by a super tall man with no face. Get your copy TODAY

Thanks for bringin my childhood memories back, i totally forgot about them!
Okay guys, I just got back into The Sims 3 and I've created a sim that I'll think you'll all agree is p. cool, but even so, I'd like to get your approval on this.
Okay, so she's this chick who is a shy, clumsy vegetarian who just so happens to be a fire god. I'm gonna do some character development shit involving her marrying Harry Enfield, and then becoming some evil chick who goes around shooting people and having an evil lair and shit.
I've not played The Sims in a few months now. I got really sad when I had to reformat my computer and my USB with all of my houses on it ended up corrupt :saddowns:
One such house (a bit hard to see exactly what's going on in a lot of the pics due to all of the split levels and shit).
House from outside:

Picture of upstairs study and lounge room for the master bedroom (it's a mezenine level looking over into the bedroom from above):

The bedroom below (and bathroom):

Pic of the kind of... open study area in the middle of the house:

Had a tonne of houses I was really proud of, but I think they're all gone now :frown:
Picked up Medieval for pretty cheap (less than £20). Weirdly, the collector's edition was the same price as the normal one, which amounts to an extra soundtrack CD and a few other odds and ends for, effectively, free.
