The Sims Megathread! - Games

Going to try out the legacy tomb in a bit, once my sims get back from France. I'll post pictures if I can get my printscreen to work.

I've had 5 wives, and I ended up killing all of them. So far I have 5 families of ghost wandering my house cleaning it and leaving dirty plates everywhere. I need to get a child to pass my wealth down to.

I'd love to see a facepunch collab world. It'd take a lot of work, but it'd be pretty cool, plus I'd get a chance to try and improve my design skills.

I'd be willing to contribute to an idea like that :dance:

We should really try it. We'd just need a list of people and what they plan on doing. I could cover community buildings easily, I love doing things like library's and gyms, and parks.

How do I install the Relativity timescale mod?

I ~legally~ acquired every single item from the Sims store up until this month and [b]still[/b] there aren't any decent windows in the game. I'll take a screenshot of my house and show what I've done with the windows soon (they look shite). Also, when I start a new game I always allocate $50,000 for building and $40,000 for furnishing, leaving me with $10,000 so I don't have to get a job straight away. I suggest that people try this if they're looking for a fun way of playing the game without majorly cheating.

How do I go about making community lots? I'm not even sure if you can but I'd love to open up a shop like in the Business expansion pack for TS2.

You can also make your own community lots by hitting escape, while your game is going, and clicking on Edit Town. Then you'll be looking at your town, and you can click on a Community zoned lot, and click on the Build/Buy button. Then you'll be in the build and buy modes for the lot, with unlimited funds to make whatever your heart desires. If you have the Late Night expansion, you can zone and designate the lots as the various bars and clubs as well.

I got most of my store items by shamelessly begging on their BBS. People used to gift out free items months back, but I think those people got banned for various reasons. Is there a way to reset the house? Because somehow my max atheltic and max kung-fu sim still managed to fuck up the last mummy.

Why do the default EA buildings have such weird fucking sizes? 53x29? What? I can't even manually make a lot to fit that. -_-

[editline]26th June 2011[/editline] Here is my current Sims 3 family (minus 1 who is sleeping. shes a vampire) The kid is a clone of the man in the kitchen. The Robots are the newest additions to the family. Bradbury (the blue bot) is having a hard time getting along with anyone. And he hates kids. Rose (the pink robot) spends the day entertaining kids and changing their nappies. They're running a daycare on the lot. Having Simbots is weird.. I never tried out the Simbots in the Sims 2 but now I know why they were brought back in Ambitions. They are definitely a lot of fun to have around. Also chances are they will outlive the kid so they could possibly be around for a few generations helping my family out. Just started playing again. Created some kind of badass author, all he does is writing or going to China to kick some ass. When he's not training his fighting skills he's sitting in his basement writing stuff while listening to Chinese music.
