Would I get more money from directly selling my paintings, or putting them up for sale at the consignment store?
I am a level 10 painter, with each of the little bonuses unlocked, along with having the Artistic trait and the Extra-Creative lifetime reward.
Agree for Direct Sell
Disagree for Consignment Store.
You tend to get alot more from Consignment, well I do anyway.
I just realized how fun it is making lots of sims and then placing them all in a premade for them to interact with each other and premade sims.
My Sims are all at work. Days are no fun.
Bumping this thread.
How much do all the expansion and stuff pack take up, in gigs (TS3)?

Roughly 10 gigs, give or take.
Had to order Sims 3 from Bloody India (not region locked) as it is extremely expensive Retail and on Steam, picked it up for $20 on ebay, I'm waiting for it now.
Man, I remember Sims 1 was my favorite game every, and the new expansions were like a godsend to me, such good memories of sending my sims on holiday and all. I never really got into Sims 2 and 3, I think things got too whacky or something, well Sims 2 was okay. I would love if they brought a complete pack of Sims 1 to Steam, would buy in a heartbeat.
New expansion announced

Is this supposed to be an expansion for Late Night? Everything looks like it should've been in there instead of its own expansion.
My strategy on getting expansion packs for any Sims game is to wait until I can buy them all for $10 at garage sales.
i wish the OP had put some recommended mods or something in the first post. might be nice for some people who want to but don't know what/where to start.

More Sims 3 Showtime news, this time about the Collectors Edition!
Oh yes, it's coming. With this latest edition of this upcoming expansion, you'll be able to live out your wildest fantasy! That's right, you can be like Katy Perry!
With the latest expansion pack, you get to be like Katy Perry, and have items and hair style (note, not a typo. There's only one hairstyle) inspired by Katy Perry and her wonderful (read: terrible) music videos.
Screenshots and details of this amazing collectors edition are at the link below, and there's even an amazing trailer below the link showing off the wonderful content from this much anticipated collectors edition.

I hated the Sims 3 because no matter how long you spent in the character creator your guy would always end up with a babyface
Sims 2 is by far the best
Sims 1 is great and all, but its a little too simplistic and outdated now.
Every time I see someone mention/playing the sims, I want to play it.
Then I get bored.
Then I start cheating.
Then I give up.
Rinse and repeat.
I don't find the sims 3 nearly as fun if I play as a default family.
I have to make one guy with little money, no cheating and try to get as rich as I can.
I'm going to wait a couple years until they stop making expansions for the Sims 3 and buy the "ultra deluxe" edition on Steam.
The old sim expansions were the bomb, they just pump out shit now.
I remember the carnival magic thingy one for sims 2.
Ikea stuff pack was best stuff pack for sims 2
I missed out on getting the Generations and Pets expansion when they were on sale 50% during the holidays. As soon as they get marked down again, I'll be sure to get them.
I remember the Sims.Online. I played that game like no other. Sims with an online element (excluding shitty Sims Social) just makes it so damn addictive and more fun.
I bought The Sims 3 Collectors Edition because the store fucked up and priced it as $60 and the game by itself as $100
I bought Ambitions and World Adventures but I honestly think Sims 2 was better
I still use the Collectors Edition USB today, though.
The only mod I ever had for Sims 3 was a mod that allowed up to 100 tiles be on fire at a time. When I found it I made aliens and threw them into my basement and burned them to death while my guy ran around the hole in the floor screaming.
There's usually a much lower limit? Of what? 10?
Every time EA releases a Sims expansion pack that features getting famous or doing magic, it means they're working on the next Sims game.
I wonder what Sims 4 will be like.
I own the sims 3 on the xbox 360, and I miss having expansion packs, but the sims 3 and the expansion pack are so expensive. Hopefully EA will make it downloadable content rather then buying another new games for the 360.

Seems a bit soon to be working on the sims 4 in my opinion.
This is EA we're talking about....

Exactly, we have at least 10 more expansions.
I want seasons to hurry up and come out, arguably one of my favourite expansions on S2.

A few gems slip through, it seems that for every 3 shit ones theres one good one.
Do you guys really think the sims 3 expansions are crap? Honestly the only one I don't like is world adventure.
