Good, this thread is back.

Was playing on my Bridgeport save and went to a dive bar, was greeted with a baby on the floor. Haven't been to a dive bar since.

just for a laugh I thought I'd work out how much it would cost to own the sims 3 and all the addons legally: £225. for all the stuff packs as well, £305.

Its almost DLC the game. You get the base stuff but you have bucketloads of DLC to get the better stuff.

At least it is mod compatible.

If you want better Story Progression that you can tune whenever you want in-game, get Twallan's.
If you want better Story Progression that you can tune before you download it, get AwesomeMod.

I would suggest Twallan's, since all of his other mods are "inter-compatible" with each other, meaning they work well with each other, and adds new functions if a certain mod of his is also installed. And they're just easy to install in general.

However, you could get both if you like as the creators made it so they work with each other. Although since this is your first time installing a Story Progression mod, I wouldn't suggest it.

The only reason to use twallans story progression is if your pc is shit or you prefer things happening without them actually happening

Does anyone know how to extract textures (floors, walls, house stuff, etc) from the sims 3? I've tried searching and couldn't find anything.

That's what I thought too until I went to that sim and it was actually happening. But although I still feel like there are some fabrications. I'll have to check the next time it happens.

Actually, I just remembered that sometimes the notifications appear later than the events actually happen, and I'm guessing it's because of all the sims it has t does like a "cooldown" before bringing you loads of story notifications.

The thing about Twallan's SP mod is that it caters to each and every sim's traits and whatnot, while EA's Story Progression isn't as dynamic as that, and pretty much has every sim do random things that don't really fit each sim.

Download the sims 3 package editor: [url]http://www.den.simlogical.com/denforum/index.php?topic=189.0[/url]
Then open the fullbuild2.package here the sims 3\GameData\Shared\Packages
Then there should be a list of textures and you can right click and export them.
It doesn't seem to have all the textures though. I don't know that much about it.

Sorry if this is a bump, but I just have to say that you guys have some of the best scenarios for your sims. Inviting friends over, locking them in a basement, and painting their portrait is awesome. I'm so boring. I've just made a family, and I try to make it spread like bacteria.

At least in the Sims 2 Seasons they gave you a reason to keep a roof over their heads, but that's genius.

Oh man this thread has got me wanting to play The Sims again. Admittedly console versions of The Sims and The Sims Bustin Out are my favorites, but that's probably nostalgia goggles talking since they were the first ones I played.

I remember back on my shitty desktop I tried remaking a bunch of places from those games in The Sims 2, I should try that again in The Sims 3 since I got it during the summer sale.

Could someone help me install Twallan's Story Progression? I've followed some instructions and I have managed to get the nointro package working. I could of done Twallans correctly but I can't find a ingame menu?

The in-game menu is everywhere if you've installed it correctly. Click on anything and you should see "NRaas" as one of the selections.

But you should know you at least installed it right if you get popups once you start your game, asking you if you want to enable NRass' Story Progression and disable EA's.

I uploaded two versions, as I used [url=http://www.thesimsresource.com/downloads/details/category/sims3/id/990383/]these custom shrubs[/url] in the backyard, but the version with the custom shrubs seems substantially larger so it may have the shrubs in the package file. Either way, there's a version without them if you don't want them in your game.

I just got the Sims 3 w/ some expansion packs, and it works fine except for the fact that the play button doesn't respond and the options screen is closed automaticly within a fraction of a second after I open it

anyone else encountered this or knows how to fix it? I'm clueless, googling didn't help either

Pink Flamingo Nightclub[/B]
An underground dance club with 3 rooms and one VIP room ($100 entry), the room on the bottom floor is mainly strobe lighting with just the doors and bar lit up.

The boat reminds me of the Boat level on the Sims 2 console games.
