strangeness
Wait, what the fuck? What happened to the toddler?
Wait, what the fuck? What happened to the toddler?
I guess the game forced the toddler to cheer for grammy also, but since it's not proportionally correct...at all, all of the limbs were stretched to the size of an adult so he could properly cheer. Sadly it became the most disturbing thing I've seen in this game ever. As soon as he finished cheering, he snapped back to his normal size on the floor
What the shit, my baby has vanished but it's portrait is still there. Cant reset the bastard either.
fucking babies.
there are some scary bugs like that. But these are scarier. My only problem with the Sims 3, and it is a big problem, is how buggy it tends to be. It's really infuriating that the Sims is probably EA's biggest cash cow, yet so many terrible bugs are still in the game. I can't even go on vacation because every time my Sims come home something messes up (My one family's son was just no longer related to any of them), making the entire World Adventures expansion pack worthless to me. The real kicker is that the new Sims 3 launcher boasted something about how it's got the built in auto patcher, but it seems like the game only patches whenever a new expansion releases. I guess EA can't afford to put any time or money into fixing their biggest title. The only reason I don't go back to the Sims 2 is that 3 has a ton of features I like and generally I enjoy it more, I just tend to pull my hair out more because of all the ways the game can freak out.
I always enjoyed playing as the town whore. Having large amounts of kids from different fathers to the point where I owned 4 houses filled with unwanted children.
Only bug I've ever had has been the constant sneaking one, which I fixed with resetting the sim.

I played the first sims on a dated machine, so I never wanted to leave the lot because load times made it annoying. I just don't think I can willingly go back to having to load every lot one at a time.

Is that floating baby doing the thriller dance? [editline]11th June 2011[/editline] Also, I love the sims 3. I'm kind of a sucker for these games, as I have every single expansion pack for it and almost all of them for the sims 2 (besides Pets, that pack is just stupid IMO)
Oh man, I'm gonna be poor. I accidentally clicked "Try for baby" and I've allready gotten twins!
I prefer the Sims 2 only because fucking Jack Conte did the teenage boy voice.
I remember one time in the Sims 2 (and 3) I impregnated every woman possible in one neighborhood, I used only one guy.
Did the end result look something like this? :buddy:
Fun fact: For Sims 3 EA actually did strip out Features that were in the base game. Modders found references to stuff like weather and pets and other interesting things, all of which were cut so EA could sell them all back to you with expansion packs.
I think I prefer The Sims 3 over 2.
I agree. I miss all the sex mods for Sims 2 though, sigh.

It's too much money they would miss out on.

I always found building houses to be way more fun than looking after the little bastards themselves. They hold my attention for a few hours, but I always end up trying to form lesbian love triangles in the end.
I don't mind having 2 expansions a year (I don't count the stuff packs since I'll never buy them), but what really irks me off is they have the nerve to sell the expansions for $40, on top of having the in-game DLC store. Not that it really bothers me, I won't buy the expansions unless they're 50% off or more.
I wish I hadn't sold the Sims 3. I feel pissed looking at all these screenshots now. Maybe I can see if the store I sold it to still has it...

I think that's why we haven't seen it as an expansion yet, despite it being the most popular request.

I really wish they had made better lighting, would have been awesome to have proper sun and moon light through windows/doors, it's just so fuzzy looking as is.
I can't wait for Sims 4 :D
Is there any information out on Sims 4 at all?
Is there any information out on Sims 4 at all?
What? We dont even have 6 expansions + 8 Stuff Packs yet!
The Sims Bustin' Out for Xbox was my first Sims game. My friend showed me it and I was astounded that you could put deer heads, fish tanks, fireplaces and all kinds of other cool shit in your house. The Urbz came out after that, does anyone remember it? I loved it even more than Bustin Out. When the Sims 2 was released I first got it for Xbox, but then hearing about the more impressive gameplay on PC, I bought it for that too. Hoping to get Sims 3 soon. My sister wants to play it with me.
Back when my brother was about to go to University, he was gonna take all the Sims 3 games with him. So I spent hours ripping the games and trying to find cracks for them, only to find out I could of put the Serial Code on the manual into the EA Download Manager and download them for free...
I love the Sims, its great to dick around in. In Sims 2 with the expansions, I loved making creepy old people that would open a toystore, then sell little robots for 500 dollars. I had like these cells behind the store where I would lure kids into and then remove the door/ add windows to all walls. Had a little trophy room there. Good times.
I attempted to play fair in the Sims 2 the other day, but I said "fuck this, this is too boring" and used money cheats. I dunno why I can't or don't want to play fair in this game....
