Can somebody explain to me why my new baby sim is... Orange? How can I fix this?
I kind of wish there was The Sims 3 online so we could play the sims with other people.
I kind of wish there was The Sims 3 online so we could play the sims with other people.
I'm disappointed that The Sims 2 on the Xbox only had local multiplayer. Not only was it actually fun to play with a controller, it was kickass with a buddy.
I kind of wish there was The Sims 3 online so we could play the sims with other people.
This is the worst best idea ever.
I'd love that so damn much. Also, do townies adopt pets on their own, and give themselves the necessary items to care for them? Or would I need to go the each family and give them a pet+pet equipment?
this game needs some file optimization, I have every xpac and stuff pack, along with 10gb of store content - on a 2500k @ 4.7ghz with 16gb of ram it still takes 8 years to load into the game
How many of them do you actually use
not many but I'm one of those "what if I need it one day" people that never uninstalls anything
Lol I'm definitely like that too. I bought the Cow Plant from the store, and I was all "holy shit awesome" once I put it in my game. But then it became nuisance since it was just so boring and all my sims autonomously went outside to play it most of the time. I uninstalled it afterwards. I'm just always inclined to use official content for that reason, saves space and loading times too, for what it's worth. The thing about all of the EPs and stuff packs is that they all have things that you think you'd enjoy using, even if they're not even part of the theme of the pack. It's like, sometimes you buy them just to take advantage of only one particular feature of that expansion. Each pack just has something you want to use, plus the extra incentive of having the things that come with the pack.

Like when they have a baby, when you're not playing them they have a baby and it grows up fine, but when you go to their house you realise there is only 1 bed.
I had an idea after looking at these custom houses. It's a small sims to gmod neighborhood. You can post a lot. I only have the sims 3 and no expansions. Or a top down view of the interior with the grid on and pictures of the front, back, side, other exterior with the grid on. It can be any building. Example house. I will use custom sim textures and other models. [t]http://filesmelt.com/dl/house13.jpg[/t][t]http://filesmelt.com/dl/01_prefabulous_test0000.jpg[/t] More information. http://facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=1218818#post38067563
Sims 3 gamemode for gmod would be cool, I would think... A build mode, and a live mode.
Right now there's only 1 finished house. I would appreciate more submissions. If you happen to be playing the sims all you need to do is take a top down picture of the interior and different views of the exterior all with the grid on for any building you want. Or you can upload the file of the lot too. (sim3 no expansions though) They're your buildings so, I will add anything else you request not in the pictures. I remember someone started a sims gamemode a long time ago, but I guess it never got finished.
Turns out the stylist of Twinbrook is an old pink guy with a uni-brow and a nose like a beak. I forgot how crazy some of the standard townies were.
I'm excited for the return of aliens. I can't believe it took them this long. Especially since the last expansion pack was fucking titled SUPERNATURAL.
Yeah, I actually played the Curious Family in TS2 so I used to play with aliens a lot, I'm super glad they're coming back. Especially with seasons, seeing as that was one of my favorites from TS2. Also, their new abilities and perks look like a blast.
If you are also like Onitsuka Tiger California 78 shoes, you can buy them online, because you can buy cheap and high qualtiy Onitsuka Tiger 60th Anniversary shoes online. You can buy your favorite shoes and save much money.
I'm excited for the return of aliens. I can't believe it took them this long. Especially since the last expansion pack was fucking titled SUPERNATURAL.
Aliens are supernatural, they are REAL!
My game keeps having weird glitches, one sim refuses to go to bed (if I select sleep on the bed the action cancels itself immediately) and on another household, the two adults never get tired. Their energy bar just never goes down (which I'm kind of ok with)
I wonder if the next expansion will include any more car advertisements. I can't wait to drive a Chevy Volt.
So I'M trying Sims 3 and all, and compared to The Sims 2, is there a single normal looking person? Good god, everyone has weird faces.
I miss my collection room. I think I might reinstall the game and expansions. I do want the new one though, the Supernatural one. [img_thumb]http://cloud-2.steampowered.com/ugc/559812596983689870/3F78EBE1C415B16482D3A134340162F4095414C0/[/img_thumb]
So, what did they do to Sims 3 to make the modding community essentially give up?
What are you talking about?
So, what did they do to Sims 3 to make the modding community essentially give up?
Nothing?
Compare Sims 3 mods to Sims 2, there just aren't tons just CONSTANTLY coming out, most is just stuff like clothing mods, but things like new meshes and stuff is rare.

A closer look. Unfortunately I don't have any of when I had like 10 tables in my living room with gems on it. Are there any texture mods that make the sims look better?
Compare Sims 3 mods to Sims 2, there just aren't tons just CONSTANTLY coming out, most is just stuff like clothing mods, but things like new meshes and stuff is rare.
Oh, I'm aware that there's significantly less content for TS3 than there was TS2, but EA didn't really do anything differently. I feel like a bulk of the modding community didn't move from TS2 to TS3. Sites like TSR and MTS are barren compared to their TS2 days, and only a handful of the individual mod sites decided to include TS3 content. I've tried checking up on a few sites and why the creators seemed to have jumped ship once TS3 came out, and nobody has really made any announcements.
I lurk MTS' forums, and members there said that it was because EA made the whole modding process more difficult and strenuous. While there's still a handful of TS3 mods, I wouldn't be surprised if most of the TS2 modding community just said fuck it.
Are there any texture mods that make the sims look better?
There's this: http://awtmk.blogspot.com/2011/07/s3hq.html But I haven't used it and so it might be outdated. A commenter uploaded a 1.29 version if yours isn't up-to-date (latest is 1.39, and I'm pretty sure will jump to 1.40 in a few weeks when Seasons is released).
So, what did they do to Sims 3 to make the modding community essentially give up?
It was possibly because a lot of Sims 1 and Sims 2 sites used to charge for mods and objects until EA pointed out they weren't allowed, so they stopped and less people are willing to do it for free
