I remember when i was at my brother,he played sims 3 on his wii,and i saw him directly control the sims(not point and click). Can you do that on the PC version?
Watching someone play seasons, who knew just adding weather would improve the game so much, the change in moods and such is pretty cool. I like atmosphere changes in these games, such as full moons making the world just freak out.
So, anyone formed an opinion on seasons? Worth the price?
Honestly? I have no idea, the addition of weather is awesome, and having season based huge events gives you a lot to do, but I still haven't been able to figure out if there is anything really more.
So, anyone formed an opinion on seasons? Worth the price?
Personally, NONE of them are worth $40. It's fine but get it when it's cheaper.
Also, I have yet to see any aliens.
Also, I have yet to see any aliens.
Same. I've been using pretty much every opportunity to stargaze(I hope it's stargaze that triggers it) and so far nothing has happened.
Hmm, despite all my efforts for one of my main sims to find an alien (Apparently collecting space rocks also increases the chance) , randomly my sim-bot got abducted out of nowhere. I'm starting to think this is broken.
Is it me or is there some sort of foggy weather possible even with no weather or anything? I swear the town was way foggier one day than usually.
I'm starting to think this is broken.
Wouldn't be surprised. [editline]13th November 2012[/editline] Ugh, these load times are fucking atrocious! Good thing you can ALT-Tab and do something else while you wait.
Wouldn't be surprised. [editline]13th November 2012[/editline] Ugh, these load times are fucking atrocious! Good thing you can ALT-Tab and do something else while you wait.
I honestly think being alt-tabbed out makes it load even longer.
Yeah, what the hell, I put a female character on a telescope then had her walk around a bit after, she got abducted really quickly. Instead of the guy who I've made collect twenty space rocks, and has discovered 50 stars, and is "Stargazing" all day.
Aliens are sexist.
Has thing game been running like shit for others? I never had to complain about Performance in TS3 till I installed Seasons. It's just so slow now, I had to delete all my mods since the game was broken with them. And it's still fucking slow help

[editline]13th November 2012[/editline]
I honestly think being alt-tabbed out makes it load even longer.
This is true. When alt-tabbed the loading bar stops at 99% for longer than it normally would but so long as you keep checking it's hardly an issue.
Every fucking time I book a vacation, my sim starts heading to his car then warps back. The fuck? [editline]14th November 2012[/editline] An Alien appears at my house, and stole me. Pretty fucked up, I don't want an Alien baby
An alien showed up at my house and I invited him inside then he left in the shittiest car. Was kinda expecting him to, ya know, USE A SPACE SHIP! His budget must be tight.
Hey man, have you ever fueled up a flying saucer? That shit ain't cheap. You gotta go native if you want to have enough fuel to make it back to the home planet and still have money.

Personally I would use a Winnebago.
EA needs to stop churning out DLC and just make a GOTY For 3 Years edition already. I've been relying on 'completely legal downloading' for the last few expansions and I hate having to jump through hoops to get the newest pack to work. It took me a week to make Supernatural work instead of messing up my installation.
Group of 5 zombies pulled out a boombox and started dancing in my backyard. This is just after I came back from France and immediately received 100,000 bucks for some reason.
Just bought seasons... Not sure If it'll be worth the asking price, but ah well.
I haven't played the Sims since the original game way back when... My friend and I used to just try and come up with ever more hilarious ways to torture and kill our Sims, and that was basically it. We'd also go a bit nuts on the house design as expected. Anyway, fast forward to today and I finally got a hold of Sims 3. I've only given it an hour or so but I'm starting to feel that retarded fun factor seeping back in. Here's my dude; Cellphone pic sorry best I could do. His name is Carl (CJ, heh) and he's... fat, lazy, clumsy, stupid, doesn't work, doesn't like people, wears makeup and walks around in his singlet & safety helmet, scratching his head and saying the most awful random things in that super deep monotone voice of his. I bought him a couch but he was being a dick to the kid that dropped off the paper so I deleted it before he could sit on it and that just made him depressed. The first night I put him in his home he nearly burnt the kitchen down trying to make waffles. He's a complete rort.
You a busta, CJ.
Zombies hang out in front of my door and pee everywhere. Every night. I don't get it.
Zombies hang out in front of my door and pee everywhere. Every night. I don't get it.
You're lucky. Every zombie that visits my sims house uses their swimming pool and diving board. Do you have any idea what it costs to filter rotting flesh out of a pool?
How can I get rid of a kid preferably without killing him. Can I put him up for adoption or anything?
How can I get rid of a kid preferably without killing him. Can I put him up for adoption or anything?
Don't send him to school or anything. Social Services comes and picks them up after a certain amount of days missed. Same with if the kid is starving, I think. (At least that's how it worked in Sims 2...)
