Damn, I remember I started play The Sims 2 at like 6. I've pirated it a few times since then but I think I'll just let the nostalgia build up for a while and play it once more.

How do you mean? I like it. It's very user-friendly; and almost everything you need to know is there and organized in all the same fashions so you may not be confused.

The Blueprint function makes building houses so much easier, other than the random doorways some of the rooms have.

actually his mods tell you exactly what they do in insane detail, it's just not on the main page.
Yeah, it's easy to get around once you know where everything is. It is on the main page (just scroll down), but if you want to get the details just click "Base-Mod" and there should be a description first thing.
I really like it because they explain all the warnings, and just about anything and everything the mods could do, and what you can do if something goes wrong.
NPC vampires seem to be burning to cinders at an alarming rate (e.g one vampire per week maybe?). And it doesn't even happen outside in daytime, but in the middle of parties at night and such.

How did you get the aliens to visit instead of abducting you? I've either had them not visit or just abduct me.

I didn't have them visit, my sim got abducted and impregnated. I can invite the mother alien over any time though.

I had an alien visit me as I was getting back from the hospital, and I had never looked through the telescope or collected rocks or anything prior to that.
Its strange. Everyone's saying they never get abducted, but it happens too often to me. Seriously, its a nuisance. My sims get constantly interrupted by abductions...
I guess aliens just really love bangin my wife.
I'm getting some really weird freezing at the moment. I won't have control over anything but stuff like music/sounds and sprites still run, then after a few minutes it unfreezes. It happens every 2-3 minutes.
Any suggestions?

I got that once too, but much much worse (like every few seconds). I used [url=http://nraas.wikispaces.com/MasterController]Nraas' Master Controller mod[/url] and reset all Sims/Objects in town and it fixed it, so I guess a Sim was stuck somewhere. You could try doing the same.
Well... My alien mind-controlled some random dude she found to clean up our house. He tried to repair our dishwasher and electrocuted himself to death...
Its impossible to find good help nowadays.

The daily life of Sims can be pretty messed up sometimes, I gotta say. :v:
Zombies roaming the streets freely, vampires and werewolves an' shite, aliens going around wreaking havoc... What a mess!

Instead of downloading the mod, if you don't want to, you can type "resetsim *" in the console to reset every sim. The reason it's freezing is because some houses are poorly designed/there is a bug that causes sims to get stuck, which makes it lag badly. Using resetsim * generally fixes it for an ingame day or two. It is happening on a save I am playing with my friend, and it's really starting to piss us off. It also takes like 10 minutes to load the save now..
