Does anyone know where I can get Seasons for cheap? I don't feel like submitting to EA's outrageous prices.
Does anyone know where I can get Seasons for cheap? I don't feel like submitting to EA's outrageous prices.
EAs got a deal on Origin right now that if you get 1 game of their list, including most of the Sims 3 games, is 20%, 2 is 30%, and 4 is 40% off your purchase.
Bridgeport. Dat nightlife, hnnng. Although having guests and/or parties in apartment buildings seems to be just about impossible, because all the retarded fucknugget guests just hang around in the lobby instead of coming up to my crib.
Elevators in general seem like a nightmare to me. Sims take forever to go up/down floors with them, and once they begin the "tapping foot waiting for elevator" animation, you can't cancel the movement, forcing you to wait for them to ride it ALL THE WAY to the top. Combine this with erroneous pathfinding (I'm gonna go down these stairs and up the elevator to my bed instead of through this door!) they become a really frustrating experience. Oh, and unless sims queue up the elevator at a similar time, they won't get on at the same time.
Is anyone else a golddigger in this game? I had my sim marry what I thought was a poor woman who lived in a tiny house, but when he married her he received her 5 cars which happened to be in her inventory and $50,000, so he divorced her and kept it all
The rate the game generates NPCs, it must be a goldmine too. No need for kaching or whatever that cheat was named. [editline]30th November 2012[/editline]
Am I the only one who makes it my only goal to max out gardening/fishing/cooking and have a supply of ambrosia (and then more often than not, spend my following time maxing out the other skills)? I wish I wasn't so inclined towards powergaming. I've tried to not let myself do it in the past, but it always ends up the same. My favourite family was a guy who maxed out his skills in most things, made a robot, who I then decided would be evil and live in a secret underground castle with his old master hanging perilously in a cage above a giant pit. :v:
That's my playstyle too. Sims 2 and 3. Problem is, it gets too repetitive for me. It's just my tendency :( I don't set goals for myself. One I was going to do in the sims 2 was make a family propagate and take over the town, but that just took too long :(
Wait, the Ambrosia cookin' recipe... What does it do? I have yet to reach level 10 of cooking yet. Also, it's pretty funny, my current Sim is a hard-boiled private eye... Who is also an expert cook. And handyman. And Charisma monster. And five-star celebrity, cause fuck, famous detective and all. ANd I barely even trained him in all these, just his lifestyle brought about these skills. And now I'm contemplating whether he should marry or stay a bachelor.

To save space, I had one elevator that went to each level below. Holy shit, if multiple people wanted to use an elevator, each wanting to go to a different floor, it'd bug out and they'd end up riding it all day.
Is there any way to turn off zombies? They are literally swarming my house 24/7. Goofy as shit.
In the options menu, there's a menu specifically for creatures and animals and stuff, just uncheck zombies. Also, I hate how Bridgeport is the only city that I know of that has clubs and stuff designed for musicians.
Is there a mod that lets your sims shoot the zombies? Because that would be the best thing ever.
Is there a mod that lets your sims shoot the zombies? Because that would be the best thing ever.
Is it even possible to do something like lead them into your basement, and light them on fire? That might be fun...
In the options menu, there's a menu specifically for creatures and animals and stuff, just uncheck zombies.
Umm, you can't.
Umm, you can't.

I thought zombies were left off that menu retardedly.
Wow. Just wow. So of all the things, only the retarded, distracting, glitchy and pointless zombies are what we can't get rid of? Good form, Maxis.

The reason Zombies are left off the menu is because they aren't created by the game except during a full moon which is only temporary. So just make it so you never have a full moon and you won't get zombies unless YOU make someone a zombie.

So even if I disabled full moon, they are going to persist for a good while... Somehow, though, I'm not sure if that is the case, though, actually. I just see zombies crawl outta the ground like if it were a full moon. Maybe my game is simply shitty and bugged, making zombies spawn 24/7.

When you get bit by a zombie it can either be permanent or temporary. When you start a new game and you make sure that you have full moons turned off you'll never encounter a zombie.

It's time that Mr. Dillinger, renowned private eye and world-class cook takes up alchemy and zombie hunting.
It can be permanent? Well shit.
Yep. It can either be 2-days or permanent. It depends on how they were made a zombie. I use this guys site to find out everything I need to know about the game: http://www.carls-sims-3-guide.com/supernatural/zombies.php

Annnd let's just say my version of the game is a bit iffy to update.

I liked how neighbors came to laugh at it.
Okay this is just silly; zombies started spawning in my backyard and then pulled out umbrellas because of the rain. God forbid you should get wet while you're wrecking my shit. Anyway, has anyone ever run into a problem where the disgusted moodlet stays permanent? I've checked everywhere in my house and my inventory and made sure everything is fucking spotless but it persists.

But it's not that big a mood hit anyway so I tend to ignore it.
