That old Advert on TV always made me crack up when she came on.
If you're short on any expansions, then head over to Target. They're having a sale on ALL of the Sims 3 expanions, $20 each. This is for physical copies (not digital ones like Amazon had a few weeks back), and I believe this price extends out to their retail stores as well, so don't fret if any are out of stock online. I can't make up my mind.

Seasons is very much worth it imo. It just gives a whole new atmosphere to the game and it's done way better then in the Sims 2. Well, except this:
That plate. It's too far!
Hello! I have a question but I know nothing about sims, so I apologise in advance if it's so stupid it hurts. My girlfriend has had a copy of SIMS3 for quite a while now, way before Origin kicked in, So the only DRM was that the game wouldn't run without the disk in the D:/ unit. Since Origin kicked in, one would think that SIMS3 wuld just link to her account and be played without disk (I take Steam as reference, I never used other DRM platforms) pact that she was always online DRM. Strangely enough she has the worst of both worlds: She has to be online and connected (so she can't play on her laptop) and the disk must be always in. Now this wasn't much of a bother until today, when the D:/ unit of her tower pc broke. So my question is: Is there a way to activate her CD-Key product on origin to only have the always-online DRM? I'd love if you could PM me the answer, and thanks in advance.
always-online DRM?
Pretty sure there is nothing like that. I have the digital version from Gamersgate, activated on Origin, and there's no DRM of any kind. I don't even need Origin running, let alone need to be online while playing. To remove the Securom (or whatever the disc DRM is), you may need to completely uninstall the disc copy, activate the serial key on Origin, and download entirely from Origin. =
Ok I'm at her place, I uninstalled SIMS3 and am now redownloading it through Origin. Hopefully it will run without the disk. Thanks again cccino.
it will, me and my girlfriend share the sims that way, she has the disc because mac
Has anyone else noticed how when you click randomize in create a sim for females , most of the time it gives you a dark skinned fat sim.
Man I hope I get a newer computer this christmas. I'll so buy every sims 3 expansion
Good god, most of the random Sims in town have the stupidest hair and clothes. Now that I have a stylist in the family, at least I can fix that travesty
So this creepy ass vampire chick keeps bugging me about going out. I finally decided, hey I'll invite her over, eat food and such in the warm as it's snowing and such. Anyway, she stays over, then for some random reason, wakes up at 4:30am walks outside destroys my snowman, then proceeds to make her own right next to it. Women.
it will, me and my girlfriend share the sims that way, she has the disc because mac
As far as I know, due to the outcry from the community when EA put securom in the sims 2, they decided not to in the sims 3 and just put in a cd check. Then again, how does one check for a cd in a digital download...
Does Sims 3 crash everytime for you guys or it's just me being unlucky?
Seasons is very much worth it imo. It just gives a whole new atmosphere to the game and it's done way better then in the Sims 2.]
Would've gotten it, but it was the only expansion that wasn't on sale over at Target. I ended up getting Ambitions instead though.
Ambitions is probably my favourite. Suits my playstyle of maxing out everything. But then, I've always played with all of the addons installed at once.

Whats a good way to boost performance in TS3, without ruining the quality? I can play it fine, but it tends to slow down over a while, and slowly get worse.
Do you have a lot of custom content? Also, try deleting your cache files every once in a while.
Only custom cars, Vice City, and thats about it. It's usually just a hiccup half the time, where the game just freezes, and then sims stop their actions and get up from whatever they're doing. I'll try Overwatch and Error Trap.
Overwatch and Error Trap are two must-have mods. They do so much on their own without and fiddling.
If anyone's in the market for a good custom world, should check out Redcliffs. Author hasn't updated it since then though, but it runs perfectly fine with all expansions for me.
Is the missing CC a huge problem?
Not really. The only CC you need installed is the sidewalk textures.
Would it be problematic if I only own the base game, seasons, pets, late night, and ambitions.
The author says that World Adventures is needed because of the amount of trees in the world or something. So I guess you'd just end up with a treeless world. I don't know really.

I've always wanted to make a minimalist house with no windows. Just a bed, fridge, toilet and shower.
THE SONGS ARE STILL STUCK IN MY HEAD :( When your buying stuff for your house lol that repetitive music, aghhh can't stand it and it's been years since i've played.
