I've always wanted to make a minimalist house with no windows. Just a bed, fridge, toilet and shower.
I did something like this a while back, except under it there was a massive basement with all kinds of electronics, a hot tub, swimming pool, and tons of high quality art. Sims would basically orgasm when they went down there.
If anyone's in the market for a good custom world, should check out Redcliffs.

Author hasn't updated it since then though, but it runs perfectly fine with all expansions for me.
Where is the actual download link for the non-NL version? The author mentioned mediafire, a comment mentioned something about mediafire, but the only link that seemed remotely promising was to the new, updated, nightlife version...
Give me bad reading, I didn't realise the author had taken down the non-NL file. Sorry :(
So recently I've seen a bunch of media and videos of The Sims 3 and it's re-awoken my love for this series. I used to be pretty heavily into The Sims 2, but just sort of lost interest at some point.
Anyway, big kicker is that I haven't got much money, and I'm hoping that I'll either be able to buy TS3 soon-ish or at least sometime over the holiday season, along with some of the expansion packs. Do you guys have any personal recommendations on what packs might be worth getting if (big if) they wind up going on sale?

I would recommend Late Night, Ambitions, and World Adventures. I feel like these add the best and the most content. Personally, I dislike Pets because pets are needy so you can't stay out all day. However, selecting expansion packs is mostly subjective.
You should look at a brief overview of the expansion packs and see which one interests you the most. http://www.carls-sims-3-guide.com/expansionpacks.php
Origin has another TS3 sale on today. Seasons and all the rest for 30% to 50% off.
Shame that expansions bought on Origin aren't compatible with the base game on Steam.
Ugh I love Overwatch but it's pissing me off that I'm getting constant messages about stuck Sims and how many vehicles are removed each night, is there any way to disable the messages?

Uh...register the key on Origin?

"NRaas \ Overwatch \ Settings \ Display Nightly Notifications"
And if you have Dresser and/or Register and want to disable those too:
"NRaas \ Dresser \ Check Outfits \ Display Notification"
"NRaas \ Register \ Show Notices"
If you don't see these menus while selecting a sim, check Town Hall menus.

That pretty much worked, thank you!

Today I discovered that if I am getting slow downs in "The Sims 3" and it seems to freeze every few seconds, it is because some dumbass ea mapper decided to do what they always tell us not to do and left a pathing hole in their map. This causes sims to spawn in those holes and be unable to move anywhere. Thankfully, I also found a mod-free solution. By pressing ctrl+shft+c to bring up the console, then typing [resetsim *] (without brackets obviously) I can send each and every one of those virtual fucks to their virtual place of residence, in a safe and neutral state, free of pathing errors.
If you do it at the wrong time resetting all the sims can really fuck shit up.
Well, a random lightning bolt hitting the ground outside my sims house just made me almost shit myself. The fact my bass is maxed out on my speakers and sub didn't help....
Looked cool though.

Kind of the same story for me, I made a family of two sims living as roommates, one which is a kleptomaniac (to provide income) and the other has the life wish of gold digging. So right now they really live paycheck to paycheck. But, I'm trying to play how others have suggested and essentially marry/kill/repeat for money. Sounds really... bad, but I can be such a boring sims player some times :(

That is really a great plate to....
I don't know if you guys know but The Sims 2 website is closing down next month. (I was a member of that site since 2004).
I remember joining it back when I registered my games in Middle School.
Gonna be sad to see it go.
QUESTION: Best/most fun expansion city? I've got all the major expansions save Showtime/Katy Perry shit, but every time I come back to play Sims 3 I always start in Bridgeport or Sunset Valley. Are any of the other towns worth putting time into? (including Supernatural's)
Riverview is my favorite town to play on.
So I found that one of the disks on the speakers in the sims 2 is a parody of the bends
Finally got the Sims 3 and an actual functioning family going. Husband wants to be a super spy and is working as a police officer, wife wants to be the Emperor of Evil and works as a low level thug whose been scooted off to prison multiple times. They also have a daughter named Robert because I accidentally forgot to hit the 'Male' sign in character customization.
I've missed playing these kinds of games.
Bought Late Night, want to move my sim into an apartment in the new town. But what is the best apartment space-wise?

Bridgeport's the best imo.
I'm currently playing on Starlight Shores, and it's alright. I do miss the city life that Bridgeport has though.
I wish there was more than one city map...so lame they won't expand on that.
I keep encountering an issue where my Sim can use the Telescope. Every time I tell him to use it, he gazes though it for a like a second before instantly teleporting off it.
Is this a bug or am I just doing something wrong.
my younger sister and brother got the sims 3 vanilla and pets
i'm back in my sick torture houses baby
