I spent portions of my childhood fearing fire and thieves because of those excessive sounds that sounded more like "someone's about to get a knife through the throat" than "some gangster is about to steal your flatscreen".

I enjoyed it.
Can anyone confirm if Late Nite is any good? I'm thinking of buying it, only so I can mess around on the subway and add skyscrapers to the downtown.
Also, does anyone recommend any really good, fun mods? I've just downloaded some enhanced skin mods so far and some custom clothing. I haven't found anything really interesting.

It's enjoyable for awhile but it get's old fast eye em' oh. It's not your typical Sims games. The whole purpose of the game is to complete quests - you can't actually play with your sims if you don't select a quest first IIRC - which isn't as bad as it sounds until you find out that you're TIMED, and that the more time you take to complete a quest the less rewards you receive. It really is a charming game, but the time aspect of it kind of kills it for me.

So you mean that if he enjoy the The Sims EA shouldn't get any money for it because some people find the game/EA to be shit? That's absolutely crazy. Of course they should get their money if the person who bought it enjoys it.
If I play a game and likes it, the dev deserves his money no mather what. I don't care who hates the game/dev.

I think you're looking too much into it. If they enjoy it, they will buy it on their own freewill but he seems to hate EA and doesn't want to fund "future titles" even if he may like one or two they have made.

pirating sims 3 + all the dlc and having to deal with installing it all is a nightmare

I had a vault modeled after fallout 3, I had a sweat shop that was modeled after nova prospekt, and an orphanage.
Is there a way to make the voices in 3 not so annoying? I feel like every character has an annoying voice.

Yeah, the feel was better than Sims 3, although I have grown to the new one.
Its uncanny happy color pallet is what ruins it for me. They all look the same. That's my issue.

i really feel that world adventures was the only expansion they really had to work hard...and its the only one i truly like tough
i wish there were more places to go becouse as soon you get all the shit in them there is no reason to travel anymore
