I wish I had Generations. Goddamn money grubbing EA and their $40 expansions...
Which storytelling mod would you guys recommend; NRaas's, or the Awesome one?
I once used Awesome. It's pretty good but I personally experienced a lot of bugs. NRaas is nicer I think. Awesome tends to prompt you with updates all the time which you have to get if you want to continue playing. You can install an auto updater for it but I don't like installing too many things.
I wish I had Generations. I'll definitely buy it though when I can afford it or when it comes down in price.
Which storytelling mod would you guys recommend; NRaas's, or the Awesome one?
You can use both since NRaas isn't a CORE mod, but I've only used NRaas because I also can't find a fucking download link for Awesome.
You can use both since NRaas isn't a CORE mod, but I've only used NRaas because I also can't find a fucking download link for Awesome.

This mod will conflict with any other story progression mod, namely Awesome Story Mode. If you are using Awesome, ensure that the Awesome Story Mode is disabled.
What is the difference between Awesome's and NRaas's story mods?
What is the difference between Awesome's and NRaas's story mods?
From what I've seen, NRaas's is more controllable by you, whereas Awesome's just does one thing.
http://www.moreawesomethanyou.com/smf/index.php/topic,15185.0.html
Is that really the most recent? The OP hasn't been updated since September.
Is that really the most recent? The OP hasn't been updated since September.
It worked until I got generations. Before then I had every single expansion pack though.
The most awesome thing just happened.. One of my sims was watering the garden when a huge shadow appeared on top of my property. I quickly moved all my sims off to the side. I made one of my sims start recording with his video camera and at the last few seconds of battery life I captured the meteor coming down. The camera cut out just as the meteor hit. It looks amazing Luckily no sims were killed, but there was a huge fire in my backyard. I lost some of my crops, and most of my outdoor furniture. One of my sims managed to take 3 photos of the carnage which are now hanging up above a small memorial I made. Below is the Meteor along with a few other rocks that came down with it. Oh, and one more thing :)
Somebody should make a King of the Hill neighborhood.
Is Generations any good?
Is Generations any good?
It makes kids not as boring as watching paint dry.
Anyone know of a mod that make it so you don't have to play anyone you add into your household through moving in or getting married? I want to keep their NPC behaviours and only focus on controlling my created guy.
Sims 2 was best imo :buddy:
From what I've seen, NRaas's is more controllable by you, whereas Awesome's just does one thing.
Awesome has an online config.
God, This Story Progression Mod is pretty cool; but I hate getting informed every time a fucking NPC laughs at a joke or takes a shit; yet at the same time I want to configure it so I still get updated when a couple gets married, dies, or has a child. Too bad I don't really get the in game config menu. I tried disabling all the stories except the ones I mentioned, but the game still seems to update me on everything.
Sims 2 was best imo :buddy:
Sims 3 is literally superior in every single way.

Like in nraas>relationships put stories on none.
Sims 3 is literally superior in every single way.
Right, but Sims 3 miss pets. Hope EA will add them in next EP. Also, this thread needs more ways of killing sims.

Why every loves the pets expansion they're just sims that can't do as much stuff but are just as likely to courrupt saves
Creepy Rapist
I was going to sleep
Why every loves the pets expansion they're just sims that can't do as much stuff but are just as likely to courrupt saves
I think I created one or two families with pets in the Sims 2, after how much hassle they were I never bothered with them again
What would you guys say are the 2 best expansions out at the moment? [editline]14th June 2011[/editline]
Right, but Sims 3 miss pets. Hope EA will add them in next EP.
What would you guys say are the 2 best expansions out at the moment?
Late Night and World Adventures.
I find building in the Sims 3 difficult. Too much shiny shit and sparkles everywhere.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WDFZupUPZvA Pets expansion.
Shit, I'm missing everything, as always. Well, at least it's good that EA finally bringing them back.
