Thought I might give it a shot, I have all the discs and stuff, but holy mother of fuck it takes a lot of disk space to install them all.
I remember when we had the first sims at my house awhile ago. I remember the one day I went to sleep and i think i put my brother in charge of my character for a bit for some reason or maybe we were sharing it, I dont know. But I came downstairs one day and he went "So yeah.... your guy died. A burglar came in and shot him" Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu- Still was great though. I loved 2 and 3 alot though I dont have the expansions to either. I remember in 2 I had my one guy on his own hire a maid and then proceed to bone her and get married. They had a kid but for some reason didnt like using the crib so they'd leave him on the fucking floor. I also remember my household in 3 got absolutely rediculous, I had like, 8 people in my house with 2 kids and it drove me batshit insane. I kicked two of them out of the house because of it.

I can't get the mastercontroller mod to work and it upsets me :saddowns:
The Orignal Sims + expansion Packs rule. I have ever single one and I loved them!
I don't udnerstand why master controller isn't working. I've made sure to delete all of the old files detailed here http://hideki.modthesims2.com/wiki.php?title=Game%20Help:Installing%20Sims%203%20Package%20Files/Old%20Way%20to%20New%20Way (in actual fact, none of those files were even there to begin with) but it's still not working.
do you havve the resource.cfg in the "mods" folder
do you havve the resource.cfg in the "mods" folder
Yup. Just checked what version I was running and I'm only on 1.17. I can't install any higher because my uni network refuses to connect to the game launcher properly. So instead I tried installing this version of mastercontroller for 1.17, but it didn't do anything (except make it take 1,600 days to age on normal and make all of the mood metres turn dark green and remove saved aspirations). :sigh: [editline]15th June 2011[/editline] Wait. I think I may have accidentally installed the wrong version last time. Trying again. [editline]15th June 2011[/editline] it works :dance: annoyingly it still removed my aspirations...
I thought nightlife had a similar apartment feature to apartment life, with having different floors you could actually visit, and also being able to have roomies, but I guess not. :saddowns:
I preferred Sims 2 for the look of it, but quite like how you can walk about anywhere on Sims 3. Is it me who just can't get into Community Lots or did they sort that in an expansion pack? Only have the base game.
I fucking loved sims 2 on PS2. We had so much fun with my friends playing that game, and set the house on fire numerous times by firing fireworks indoors.
Is there anyway to make a Sim from another house grow up in The Sims 3? My Sim's sister moved out and her baby doesn't grow the fucking up. The kid's mom is already an elder but the baby is still a baby.
Sims Vacation was awesome. It was way better than all the other similar expansion packs in other Sims had. yay
Another interesting story that is one of my favorites in the Sims. I didn't particularly care about one of my Sims, so it was time to part ways in the most beautiful and humane ways you can in the Sims: leaving pancakes explode into a nuclear inferno in the microwave. Unfortunately, even with weeks of planning and careful staging, I must of forgot to remove the fire alarm. However, it seemed like even with the pesky fire fighters sudden arrival, my sim was soon going to succumb to death. The god of the Sims 3 must of took pity on this poor digital cretin, because at the very last second a lone fire fighter saved my sim; and foiled my plans. At that moment, I had a change of heart. Maybe some higher power deemed my sim worthy of a second chance at life. My sim formed a relationship with his rescuer, and eventually married her.

Either with the testingcheatsenabled and then like, ctrl clicking or whatever, or with one of the Nraas mods. Forget which. But it's possible, even if they're not in your current active house or whatever I think.

I can't find the house where they're living now so the testincheasneabled won't come too handy, but I'll take a look into those mods. Thanks.
That's it. I'm gonna download each and everyone of these soundtracks. A couple of these were made the 'location' music type for France in World Adventures.
Oh I miss the sims, I want to play the sims 3 but my system can't handle them for long. I do however still have the discs to Sims 2 and a few expansion packs.
Anyone else have the little bug where you're playing for a while then the screen gets randomly darker and you have to restart the game to fix it?
Hell Yeah! The Sims 3: Town Life Stuff pack has been announced. http://sims.wikia.com/wiki/The_Sims_3:_Town_Life_Stuff

Just about every lot in the base game is a rabbithole, and some expansions added buildings that weren't. Ambitions added laundromats, salons/tattoo parlors, fire stations, consignment shops, and I think a few more. Late Night added clubs and bars. I don't remember if World Adventures added any, and I don't have Generations so I can't speak of that. Aside from that, they never fixed the original lots, so you're stuck with them being rabbitholes.
Are you saying that pyramids aren't considered buildings that aren't a rabbit hole?
He asked about community lots in the town, so I wasn't counting the tombs or dungeons.
Only problem I have with The Sims 3 is how the female faces always look terrible.
Am I the only one that can only play the Sims in short periods? I've had it with every Sims game, after enjoying them for 3-4 days straight I simply get bored of watching the sims sleep all the time and don't feel like launching the game at all. Then after a month or so I repeat myself. Is that just me or am I playing the game wrong?
It's not just you. I can't stand to play the Sims for more than an hour or so a day. Though really, I've become like that with every game it seems.
I normally play it nonstop for a week or so, then I lose interest until an expansion comes out. Then the process repeats.
because of
That was the best Unleashed soundtrack bro.
