The bosses in this game feel so unfair most of the time, or maybe it's just because I suck at bullet hell games. But I definitely think there needs to be something done. there's no point continuing a run if you don't get a decent drop on the first floor, unless you are the hunter and you use the crossbow on the boss
Some bosses are fine, but others are total bullshit. Like the wall just feels like a DPS race.

If you just remain calm and focus on dodging only what is gonna hit you, there's never really anything that comes out that can't be easily dodged. There are times when you can just move to one particular location and then not move again and since nothing moves into a trajectory of you, you just stand still and shoot. The only real bullshit thing about bosses is some of them having random bullet spread attacks with adds to fight you as well. That's what made the Tread so annoying to fight, cuz' dodging the random bullets often made you vulnerable to leading shots. The priest also has those downright rage worthy invisible spawn shots that lead in on you when you get close.
Like the best advice I can give is don't look at the boss, look at the area around your character, this goes for bullet hells too.
I've found that I can handle the first part of a boss fight fine but I start to get fatigued and make mistakes if the battle drags on too long. Gorgun is probably my favourite boss because of the short breaks you get when she dives down.
I think all of the bosses up to floor 3 are pistol-able pretty easily honestly. Cannonbalrog is absurdly easy, though Treadnaught ehhh. I hate the meme, honest, but if you can't handle floor 1 bosses with the pistol instead of complaining just keep playing till you get good- normal enemies later on will have more punishing attacks then they do and this isn't Isaac where 90% of the runs are just carries.
Today i achieved my first Dragun kill! With this loadout. Jetpack and Blood brooch really helped. In a run after this run i managed to get Seven-Leaf Clover and Mimic Tooth Necklace early, Alpha bullet, hip holster and disintegrator, staff of firepower and bfg, but still failed, fair share of weapons i had were slow and i accidentally duct tape'd staff of firepower with bfg without reading a description on how duct taping worked, at this point i question my own existence.
I shot the official twitter a message this morning asking for a Shooting Star to be added via DLC because puns They liked the tweet or whatever it's called so noW MY HOPES ARE HIGH.
Holy fuck, first run where I get to [sp]Dragun[/sp] I get all the no hit bullets. Heavy bullets, homing bullets, lightning bullets, demon head, stinger, lil turtle guy and garbage gun just fucking tears stuff apart.
Finally beat all 4 pasts. I picked up clone during the run but sadly never got to use it. [t]http://i.imgur.com/KXAxWFv.png[/t]
I made a Dragun guide [sp]Use the Quad Laser, it's literally unstoppable. The Dragun cannot even jump so how could he hope to avoid it?[/sp]
How about a guide on Gungeoneering 101. Or "how to get to Dragun with more than 1 health" I got to beat this game no matter what.
If it's what you want I can do it, the videos more of a joke :v: I thought that would be obvious given how ter- fantastic the gun is [editline]18th May 2016[/editline] E: If you want to see actual play with me attempting to not die Here's my first run through Bullet Hell
level 3 is my max here, i am very bad, but im still unlocking a lot of neat stuff. i need three shields to give to the elevator maintenance man though, so i can skip to level 3. im finding the game more and more difficult as i play, though. level 1 rooms used to be a breeze but now im getting harder versions of those rooms more often than not. im talking about always getting the room layout with like three or four enemy waves. or rooms with a lot of ghosts and grenades. what a fucking pain in the ass. these used to be uncommon but i've been getting them on every run. have i fucked myself somehow?
Tip about the grenade guys, even if they tackle at you if you dodge roll you phase right through the explosion perfectly fine. It's kinda fun luring them to a pack of enemies and abusing that :v:
Lmao shit. I had the 6 keys and 300 shells quest for elevator dude and figured "I bet I could do this first try." Picked Pilot and got floor 3 finished and flawlessed and decided to gunmunch a couple things. I then got hit with this bug I still did it first try but I only made it to floor 5 with a single half heart and a shield so... that run kinda got dicked over :v:
Look at the item list. [t]http://i.imgur.com/WFMQIY7.jpg[/t] AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

I've beaten 4 pasts without unlocking any shortcuts as it is a bit tedious and relies on RNG, so what i'll say is to start like normal, learn around enemy/boss attacks and how to dodge them, that is what will lead you to success.
I made a Dragun guide [sp]Use the Quad Laser, it's literally unstoppable. The Dragun cannot even jump so how could he hope to avoid it?[/sp]
But Jumping is Useless! So it makes no difference!
I booted up Enter the Gungeon and figured "I hate convict, but I wanna do a convict run so let's see how it goes." This apparently pissed the game off and it decided that it hated the idea of me having anything above a brown chest. I got the prototype railgun early on (floor 2's boss) and spent most of it just messing around. Boy did I regret it when the best I got was the Skeleton AK on the final shop :suicide: Also the one key I got in the forge gave me the book of chest anatomy as a solid fuck you to seal the run off. [t]https://pbs.twimg.com/media/Ci3iM-WVAAAIJXM.jpg:large[/t] Still made it work though, just as proof you can win any run really. [sp]Fuck going to hell on that run[/sp] [t]https://pbs.twimg.com/media/Ci3jZpYVAAAYa80.jpg:large[/t]
New patch 1.0.10 beta released as opt-in branch named beta_public. Changelog:
Major: Upgraded Unity (game engine) and Wwise (sound engine) in an effort to increase compatibility Improved VRAM usage (should prevent some crash bugs) Improvements: Added a more reliable way to encounter Brother Albern and his Lies Brother Albern's chest can no longer spawn as a Mimic or have a fuse Flying players can now access the maintenance room (for unlocking shortcuts) Revamped the Duct Tape item; the item now must be activated twice to be used (once on each gun to combine), and the UI properly reflects taped guns' status Improved the Yari's damage output to bosses You can now quick reload with the Cog of Battle by simply clicking the "Fire" button Corpses will no longer vanish on low quality settings if the player has the Melted Rock Players can no longer take fire damage while in a conversation Improved the Big Boy item Greatly improved the Flame Hand The Gunboots' shots will no longer be blocked by orbitals Added a failsafe to the Gun That Can Kill The Past--if mouse clicks are not registering, it can now be fired by holding the interact key. Forge Hammers and the Ammoconda's turrets are now affected by the Aged Bell The iBomb Companion App should now destroy all enemy exploding projectiles when activated Flipping tables near barrels will no longer destroy the barrel (this was especially annoying for the water barrel on the first floor) Made bouncing bullets more consistent; all bullets that reflect off walls should have a consistent visual trail, which disappears when no bounces remain Pressing Left Alt no longer makes the game blurry (... lol) Bouncing/spawning projectiles that hit player orbitals will no longer bounce/explode (this was causing some unfair damage) The Bullet Bore can now kill Lead Maidens Gave the RC rockets a very small delay before tracking to reduce rocket overlap Button presses that close the pause menu are no longer registered in game as well (which could cause players to accidentally purchase shop items, etc.) Bug Fixes: Fixed multiple situations where chests could drop items into pits Fixed a bug where killing Mimics in hallways could cause all kinds of strange behavior Fixed a bug which was preventing the Enraging Photo and Battery Bullets from dropping once unlocked Fixed the Zilla Shotgun's ammo usage Fixed a crash during dungeon generation caused by the Sense of Direction Fixed a bug which could cause secondary merchants to have fewer (or no) items for sale Fixed an issue where the secret characters had 1 less i-frame during their dodge roll Fixed a bug where falling into a pit with the Super Hot Watch resulted in a very long delay Fixed an issue where followers wouldn't shoot mimics if they left their initial room Fixed an issue that could prevent players from saving Fixed several issues caused by certain items combined with the Polaris The Metronome is no longer broken by gun swaps in Blessed Gun runs Fixed an issue where the Gun Cultists had several unintended i-frames Fixed a bug where picking up the Bloodied Scarf while dodgerolling would break the game Fixed several issues with the <REDACTED> fight (final final final boss) Phase 1/2: Fixed a freeze caused by having a dead player in co-op Phase 2: Fixed a freeze caused by falling into the pit during the transition Phase 3: Fixed a bug where the boss could hit players with a seemingly invisible bullet Phase 3: Fixed a bug where the circular attack could be entirely removed with a few small explosions Fixed a bug where dying in the mine cart with a gun soul caused control issues Fixed (another) issue where players could become stuck while talking to the dying cop Fixed a visual issue with jammed bullets while using Fast Scaling mode Fixed a bug caused by blowing up the mirror chest Fixed an audio bug caused by chests with fuses Fixed several bugs involving the transition to the second secret level Fixed a UI bug where picking and dropping guns with infinite ammo would cause the ammo count to drift to the left Fixed an issue where the Lost Adventurer dialogue could be interrupted in co-op Fixed a bug caused by spamming the Use key with the Air Strike item Fixed an issue where the Revolvenant's arm bullets could be stuck in an attack Fixed a bug where the Kill Pillars could be killed from outside the boss room with certain weapons Fixed a bug where minecarts would move forever if the enemy in them was killed by being frozen Fixed misleading UI when resetting the save progress for Slot D Fixed a bug where Mimics would drop double loot when pushed into a pit Fixed a strange issue where using an ice weapon with Exploding Bullets would cause all future explosions to freeze Fixed a UI bug caused by items that increase the player's ammo capacity Fixed a bug where teleporters could spawn outside of room bounds Fixed an issue where the Frifle hunt achievement would unlock one step early Fixed a bug where getting the Mimic Tooth Necklace could cause visual glitches on chests that have already been destroyed Fixed an issue where RPG missiles would travel directly through a certain secret wall on the first floor Fixed a minor visual bug in the Sorceress's room Fixed a bug which could prevent Mimic's from animating (while still hidden)
The reason of them taking it this long are two major changes. Also there will be [sp]Robot's[/sp] past soon.
Sometimes I still die to the Chamber 1 boss. I very rarely get to the Hollows, and never beyond. Am i just too bad at the game?
