The Fightsabre is easily my favorite weapon so far.

fightsabre is ridiculously good, made the entire fight against [sp]the traitor[/sp] a cakewalk, fire one shot, reload and deflect his entire barrage and take like 10% of his health
I got the space turtle- my mvp of my last run as well as a gun that fires blanks

[sp]I died to the Dragun because he used a knife attack I hadn't seen before and for some reason it took me forever to realize I had to kill them. I'm the ultimate goddamn jobber[/sp]
The guitar is the coolest weapon.
Scrambler with the holster is epic, helped me get to floor 4 before even taking damage. Did not take damage during the tank either. Awesome game.
Every time I'm having a good run with the broken television Floor 3 gives me the same room with several pits I have to roll over. And every time I throw the television in an attempt to get it across it falls into the pit. I fucking hate it.
One strategy you could do is to leave the TV in the entrance room, leave the room via teleporting, then immediately teleport back. You'll stop the Resourceful Rat from stealing the item by spooking him away. Do this a few times and he'll stop trying to steal that particular item. Then all you need to do is clear the floor normally and just teleport to the TV and pick it up before you enter the next stage.
This strategy works for ammo packs too.

Thanks for the tip. Do I have to do it for every floor or does him being spooked from picking up that item apply to the rest of the playthrough?

Only for that item and only for that floor.
The mechanic is useful so rarely that it's typically not going to be cumbersome, but them having created an escort mission of sorts kinda means it becomes important.
I mean they could've made the Broken TV just stick in your active slot like the Arcane Gunpowder does and it'd be a normal escort mission, but in making it drop when you roll, they both introduced a world of frustration and forgot about how their teleporter system opened up a world of cheese.
The Spelunky influence runs pretty deep, though.
I think the method might have been patched out or I'm doing something wrong; I've teleported in at least 20 times now and he's still hanging out and trying to steal it.

Have you been shooting at him or just teleporting into the room? You can't kill him, he has a deflector shield that all NPCs get.

A little of both, haven't noticed any change either way.
Nothing makes him leave forever, even before the patch. He's just supposed to have a slightly longer cooldown timer before trying again.
I have made him fuck off for long enough to get my business done, although that was a day 1 thing. Might've been stealth patched along the way in a similar way that Junk is no longer worth like 100 shells when sold to the sewer man.
Gun idea: Chekhov's Gun. It can only be used during boss fights but it takes off ~half the health bar.
does anyone have a gif of the loading screen graphic? i want to use it as an avatar but i can't capture it myself because the game loads too quickly
is that intentional or is it actually bugged

I just finished experiencing this myself.
[sp]The Shadows grow darker, indeed. I did pretty well, got them each down to ~30%, until they both Eyelasered at the same time, just out of sync so I couldn't dodge through. Would have been easier, but I only had the starting gun and crossbow still[/sp]
It's intentional. You get a... very worth it reward.
Does anyone have any good way of Farming the [sp]Red caped Bullet Kin[/sp]
So I heard the main problem with this game is the fact the different characters aren't actually so different, and a lot of the upgrades are pretty bad.
How true is that?
Game looks fun, but if the game truly is like that I might end up buying nuclear throne instead.

The Characters aren't that different but each one has their own playstyle.

Yep. The characters play the same way, but each one has what you could call a different starting loadout and different base abilities.

Every single character has a unique final boss exclusive to them. If that's not different enough for you I don't know what will be.

Being brutally honest, don't pick up NT in its current state. It's been a crash-plagued mess for the past 5 months and it's been riddled with hundreds of other bugs. Yes, actually hundreds. I powered through and counted them as I reported them (of which, the next update has last been claimed to fix only 18 of them...back in February...still haven't pushed it to public yet).
After accidentally killing far too many capekins I have finally unlocked the bullet.

That's neat, but I was hoping the different classes would be like risk of rain characters, in that they have a different set of interesting skills
Hm, I'm still considering buying it.
Is there any other problems with it? I don't care about the difficulty, which is another "complaint".
