P much every boss needs an hp nerf and Coolness needs to be buffed so you get drops more often (specifically keys)
I thought the entire point of bullet hell was for things to be like this, I thought it was fine, maybe I'm just not familiar with the genre.
it's bad at being a bullet hell though, at least in my opinion in bullet hells it's very clear what your hitbox is, where the enemies who fire them are, and the pattern they are going in. in EtG there's no visual hitbox, enemies can shoot from outside the screen and in chaotic patterns that don't mesh and can put you in unavoidable damage i would rather have a "focus" mode where you slow down your character and see your hitbox, instead of the awkward dodge roll we have now where it's hard to tell when the invincibility starts and ends. game is still fun though yay

It's not really a focus mode but at least it helps a lot in later levels.
Weapon switching slow motion?
On pc if you hold control it slowdown time a lot and allow you to switch weapons. Dunno what the button is on console.
Triangle. Also I think a hp nerf of some enemies needs to happen but a world wide boss nerf isn't needed at all. Namely the Tank and the Dragun need to have like half the health- I finally beat the Dragun for the first time and even with double vision it took me about 3-4 guns full of ammo to take him down. A lot of people think this is Isaac where a boss shows up and you're almost expected to melt it down in 10 seconds and that's not what this game is. It is supposed to have a full minute or two battles because you're supposed to compete with the patterns the game hurls at you. That's the main thing a lot of people need to realize. That being said it still took me 26 tries to get my first Dragun Kill (and Boss Kill follow up) so I'm bad at games :v:
The Dragun is easy though compared to any floor 4 boss or the Treadnaught, which 4 guns did you use? Were they at full ammo or half ammo?
I found the Dragun to be the easiest boss in the game. His sprays aren't too advanced and as long as you space everything out, you won't get hit. [sp]How do you get Caped Bullet Kin to show up? I've beaten all of the pasts and even did the Lich in Bullet Hell and I haven't seen one.[/sp]

Dragun's the only boss that actually has another phase of attacking(?), which is the only thing I can assume they tripled his HP for.
Treadnaught gives me a fucking stomach ulcer whenever I see it. I know a lot of people have been complaining about it, but jesus christ it only shows up when I get a bullet piece just so it can fucking send me back to the breach.
[sp]Caped Bullet Kin[/sp]
They're random and can show up on any floor.
Made key acquisition more reliable Lowered the difficulty of the Treadnaught (explosive shot now has a minimum range, homing rocket is slightly slower, adds no longer lead their shots) Added d3d11 support (which may help some players with black screen and map issues) Fixed an issue where enemies could spawn in unreachable locations Players can no longer teleport in coop while one player is interacting with a shrine or NPC Players can no longer be set on fire while ethereal Increased quality tier of the Fightsabre (less likely to spawn in low level chests) Fixed an issue where collecting an NPC cell key while it was falling into a pit broke the key Fixed an issue where the SMASH tent event could be interrupted by enemy gunfire Fixed an issue where Lost Adventurer progress was not being tracked correctly Fixed an issue where Gunsling King progress was being tracked twice per success Fixed an issue where Great Hall progress notifications were popping up everytime the Breach loaded Starter guns can no longer be used to reveal secret doors (hit VFX is now the normal wall hit effect)
Aaaaay.

The RPG kind of sucks, using 50 shots from the shotgun seems pretty realistic since it's a shotgun.

Shotgun full of Hate promised all sorts of crazy things so figured it would be good. Instead I just coated the ground in poison.
Wow Treadnaught is a goddamn joke now poor guy
It makes no sense to nerf the explosive shot's maximum range when that is the only reason the explosive shot was dangerous, to prevent you from kiting him with a max range weapon.
This game is very hard, I can usually make it to floor 3 without taking any/very many hits but everything from floor 3 onward just wrecks me. I disagree with the general idea that tanky bosses = bad bosses, but I personally like that they are not so item-dependent as they are in Isaac. It also feels like the first two floors don't need very good RNG for them to be beatable, but everything after you need good guns or you're fucked. Still, I've waited for this game since it was first revealed, and I am already able to place it in my GOTY for 2016.

I would like to see more bosses have clear and distinct attack phases though. Some bosses are a bit too easy and it's a battle of attrition as you wait for their health bar to drop to 0. I personally find Gorgun to be the easiest of them all, flawless battle on the first encounter I did with her and still have only been hit by her maybe 3 times total since then.
It'd be neat if for X times you beat a boss, that boss gained a new move. Gorgon and the raptor are pretty easy, but I like their design. Wish they had more to them.
The death clock starting at your time of death, and rolling back to the start of your current run, synced to your computer's time, is a very cool detail.
It's always the damn adds that get me on Treadnaught. [editline]12th April 2016[/editline] Fuuuuck, I was having an amazing run, and a few bullshit rooms ruined it, namely huge ones where that bullshit summoning guy keeps summing skeletons who shoot lasers from across the screen.

had trouble getting to the 4th floor, then i switched to a controller instead of kbm got to dragun first try, and got him down to 1/4th of his health

Are there any tricks to guessing secret room locations? Like in TBoI where you can make a semi-accurate guess based on the level layout.
Are there any tricks to guessing secret room locations? I'd suggest not doing that, particularly when you need to expend ammo.
