Legion is their last chance to win me over and make me stay with the game. Considering the massive story elements surrounding it if they fuck it up, I'm done. FFXIV will be getting 100% of my attention instead. I can't see it being too terrible, honestly. But you have to forgive my sceptic mindset considering the state of Warlords.
I have a feeling FF14 will be getting a big boost soon after the release of legion. It's like the anti-wow right now. They seem to be going in a totally different direction, which I love.

Well Pandaria was very pretty and the quests were cool, seems I joined the party too late though as I'd only done jade forest and half of the valley for four winds and I was done and ready for WoD Didn't even replace a single bit of gear either...
I enjoyed MoP for the most parts, though an entire year of 5.4 really parched me. I ended up unsubscribing for the last couple of months because I realized I was just logging in, flying around for a while, then logging out.
Sounds like what a lot of people do when they complete current content.
Well the difference is now that I'm also RP'ing which keeps me occupied and interested in the game. However as far as PvE content is concerned, I'm done with WoD.
RP is the only reason I keep playing WoW between downtimes.
Our guild is really struggling with progression in Normal, because it's not very good raiders. It's a themed guild though, so kicking people isn't an option. We are 6/13 n and it feels so unsatisfying having to wait for the next patch in order to clear the old content. As it looks now, there is no way we are clearing normal before Legion.
Visually I loved it, storywise I really didn't give a shit about anything that was going on.
The whole story was just a lazy tack-on that started as an APRIL FOOLS JOKE. So many loose ends left in azeroth, real draenor (outland) and northrend but nope. Pandas.

Best I can recommend is either to pug some people that are overgeared, or join some pugs yourself. That, or find another guild to raid with.
http://us.battle.net/wow/en/forum/topic/4175829362?page=1 This is something I found useful during MoP, I still unsubbed eventually, but it gave me some things to do. I've already got the mounts I want but I might do some of the things we might be losing, such as achievements that'll be so much harder if realm hopping is removed. (They never said it would, but it's just the kind of thing I'm afraid of)
A lot of those achieves can be solo'd which makes it kinda boring.

being on retail for 5 mins made me realize how much better it is on retail than on rph holy fuck like shit man people actually rp and dont spam ooc
Have a progression night with the core team and then another night for gearing.
The thing is that we can usually only get 10-14 people once a week, sometimes we don't have enough people for a raid and other times we get the same 10 people. We are a swedish guild, not focused on raiding. Only if we have enough people. I have played with this guild more or less since early 2008 so I'm not too keen on leaving them just because they are not progressing fat enough in raids. At least we are having a good time doing it, just wish we could get more people interested in raiding.
I've just got back into the game, is it worth (read - enjoyable) leveling through Pandaria or should I just skip straight past it using the boost from WoD? level 85 currently
Pandaria's super worth it. The zones are beautiful and the quest lines are pretty great Except for Dread Wastes Fuck Dread Wastes.
I'm torn because I think when Legion drops I'll want to roll a DH just to try it out but I know fucking EVERYONE will also make one.
I'm torn because I think when Legion drops I'll want to roll a DH just to try it out but I know fucking EVERYONE will also make one.
Same things happened with DK's and panda monks. Of course a lot of people will try out the new huge content added to the game. I know I will make a DH at launch and you'll be struggling see see any other class in LFG. 4 DH's and a healer.
Pandaria's super worth it. tbh i've always enjoyed my druid so i'll probably just keep playing my druid i'm real curious to see how they handle their artifacts, because apparently druid artifacts change your shapeshift appearance, which rules
I failed a 95% mission for the Coalfist Gronnling mount. Fuck me. At least I'd already gotten the mission twice before, but still.
Dread Wastes has the whole Klaxxi thing going for it, so that kinda makes up for the zone being a mobfilled nightmare. Wakener 4 lyf
I'm still kicking myself for not playing MoP. Everything just oozes personality, especially compared to WoD, which feels very Vanilla WoW in a bad way.
MoP was pretty damn mediocre so you didn't really miss much
Someone could just stream a normal Kilrogg pug and call it "Twitch Plays Kilrogg", and nobody could tell the difference.
MoP was pretty damn mediocre so you didn't really miss much
I disagree. Although the later parts of MoP left much to be desired (5.3 and 5.4), 5.0-5.2 were superb in terms of story and content.
Someone could just stream a normal Kilrogg pug and call it "Twitch Plays Kilrogg", and nobody could tell the difference.
I really don't understand how pugs can be so bad. Blackrock was terrible. The amount of times I've had to pull people away from trains as a shadow priest was just silly.

I especially liked Blackhand. Hellfire Citadel on the other hand is a disappointment. Literally half the bosses are all about add control, which just makes it more frustrating rather than challenging.
I'm hoping to get into the closed beta for Legion. Will probably play that until launch instead of live if I get in.
