I at least applaud Blizzard for trying to remove the samey feel between some specs and introduce some meaningful choice into the game.
I don't like where they are going with destruction warlocks at all (and that may potentially put me off from playing warlock, which is a real shame), I will miss disc as it currently exists now, rogue changes seem great (shadowstep is gone, though). I think everyone got stirred up just enough where styles of play as a whole feel different.
I am hoping some of the perceived negative changes actually work out when the announcements go live. I feel like people are just reacting to having stuff taken away from them (all classes are having this happen to an extent) and not really factoring in the changes into the bigger picture.

If you get an error loading addon settings despite having 13 GiB of RAM free and WoW only using 1.5 it means the addon settings got set to an empty file. Truly Microsoft tier error reporting.

Hey guys, I've been thinking of getting into this game lately, but I've always hated the 'pay monthly to play' aspect of the game, though I've seen this token-thing where you buy gametime off the auction house, how reliable is it? I don't have an income in dollars which I can use, hence my curiosity about the subject
Is it worth to give it a shot? I mean, like, playing by buying tokens off the AH, and base gametime solely on that

Well, say I somehow managed to pay my first month out, would I manage in that month to go from 1-90 and be able to collect 40k-or-so gold?
And how much IS 40k gold?

If you're new you probably wont make it to one in 90 in one month, and you definitely wont be able to get enough gold in that time. Earning gold is slow while leveling, and once you hit 100 you'll get so much you're gonna swim in it.

Are any other classes losing mobility too because Warlocks have lost Demonic Circle as a baseline and it's now a talent.
If Demonic Gateway still remains and is just as useless as ever I'll be amazed if people keep playing this class. Howl of Terror can't be cast anymore now, you have to wait until 30% hp for it to go off.
You can try. Just don't get your hopes up.
Whilst leveling, grind some gathering professions and sell them in the AH.
Also work the AH, thats what i do when i go to a new server. I grind some herbs/ores/leather whatever sells the best, sell them and get about 300g to start off with, then i just start looking for stuff on the AH that is going cheap and that i know i can sell for quite a bit of profit.
I've done it so much that ever since the tokens came out, i haven't paid for subscription for a very long time.
You can only get that much gold if you have a lot of self control
Well, the question was, If I could or not, start a new character and earn 40k gold to pay off the monthly subscription; the determination is there, but can the goal be reached? That's the important part
It's possible but requires you to know how to play the market to your advantage.
Either way, you could play for free up to lvl 20 and see if you like the game.
I've played wotlk for about 3 years now [sp]in a private server[/sp], and I've always wanted to play in the official servers, but I haven't been able due to the monthly paid subscription, I simply don't have a way to make it work
the problem with the token is that to get it, you have to have already been playing the game. so your first 2-3 months will pretty much definitely have to be paid with cash. once you get to max level (or at least high enough to do wotlk/cata raids solo) you can start to farm them and rake cash in, as well as playing the auction house. after that youll be able to play for free, but you gotta get your first month somehow, and its not gonna be with gold.
