I don't understand why blizzard has to involve themselves with the market at all. Why can't they just set to token to be the same price as a one-months subscription and let the players/auctionhouse decide how much gold it will be worth? Or is this what they are already doing?

What's a good RP server?

I don't see why people are surprised about the $20 price for the token, the two other mmos that have this type and of token set theirs to $20, it's not that hard to understand. The token to gold market is going to work like how the gem to gold market worked in guild wars 2. They'll set a starting market price and then supply and demand will determine how much gold it'll be worth. Though they're still being vague in some areas and likely won't answer until it goes live. To be honest it won't affect the market as much as people think it will.

These tokens can't be straight up traded and can only be sold on the AH. And even then they can only be sold on the AH once before they have to be redeemed. The price is w/e, but it's the price for the fact that you can't do much with it.

I think what amazes me most is that blizzard doesn't even seem like they care about it. Given most of the users are probably also subbed to WoW and just want something a little different.

yeah I still pay a sub so I don't feel bad about it it's really nice to see a private server that's actually had some care put into it, i'm really enjoying doing all the old quests again

I also hear Shadow Council is still active, although personally when I went there a few years ago it was a ghost town, maybe that's changed since the new expansions. Despite it's poor reputation, some of my friends still RP on Moon Guard. I guess it's not nearly as bad as people say as long as you know where and what to stay away from (Goldshire). RP is a little more freeform over there, so if you want to be a dragon or a vampire or whatever, you're less likely to get burned at the stake if that's your thing, but I wouldn't know from firsthand experience. And in the end, some servers will overlap in some places. I've seen Rpers from Feathermoon, Sisters of Elune, and Shadow Council hanging out with people on Wyrmrest, so I guess you can just pick whatever realm you want.

Server's are up. Awesome. I can finally play. Edit/ Nope. Just getting errors.

Why does it feel like the Abrogator Stone quest is longer than the valor point part of the cloak quest?

Unless you can do Heroic, Normal, and LFR Highmaul every week, it's gonna be slow as shit to complete.

Took me 3 months just to get halfway. Probably gonna take even longer to even finish the quest.

This downloader man. Always stuck on initializing, and when it's not it's stuck there it's stuck in the preparing download stage. I have to keep restarting over and over to finally get it to start.

Did they change the way frozen accounts work? I haven't ressubed yet, but I can still log in and play any character under 20.

Pretty bs if you ask me. I'd rather grind for the valor then deal with this stone shit. Especially since you only get like what 10 or so per week.

While I'm personally not to big f a fan, Moanguard is much more free-form than other servers. I keep a couple DKs and a paladin there and usually just RP with my guildies from Wyrmrest.
