I have been playing since the last week of BC and what is so bad about the default UI? I mean sure it would be better if it was FABULOUS and fuchsia or something but other than that?
[t]http://i.imgur.com/szXrz2o.jpg[/t] works 95% of the time
Pretty sure that the tower can't move diagonally.
I like it when soloable raids are still a bit challenging and fun like LK on 25H
you mean in MoP, right because with WoD he's turned into a real pushover
Hold up. Do warriors still have
Sup guys. I'm doing a comparative essay on Warcraft lore about the influences it took from mythology. Aside from the wiki and the videos Nobbel makes is there anywhere I could find more compiled info about warcraft lore? Also I've been hunting around for an updated chart of the subscriber statistics but haven't been able to find one. I think I've seen one posted in here a few times so does anybody know where to look?
http://www.mmo-champion.com/content/4694-WoW-Stable-at-10-Million-Subscribers That's as of Feb 5th tho. I'm not sure if there are any recent ones.
It's close enough. Thank you man!

A marvelous contrivance, this.
April fools patch notes. Pretty run of the mill this time but at least they're keeping up the tradition.
I laughed at a couple.
The S.E.L.F.I.E. camera mission "Field Photography" is not appearing for all players due to its random nature. We didn't change anything; we just wanted to point out what random means.
Someone isn't happy about the the patch notes today.
My doctor has prescribed that I play WoW all the time. [editline]1st April 2015[/editline] I spend most of that time jerking off to sexy naked ladies in GS on Argent Dawn.
Ran into this gem on Wrymrest. :v: [t]http://i.imgur.com/61X8SSr.jpg[/t][t]http://i.imgur.com/lpuLv9T.jpg[/t]

Finding myself getting bored with the game. Not to any fault of the game that is, I just never tend to stick around at endgame. I was thinking of trying RP out thought. I wanted to try it out with SWTOR, but that game is like goldshire inn, but everywhere. People don't seem to realize that Sith have slaves, not sex slaves.

Guild didn't have enough people to do a proper raid, so we just did LFR, and it was surprisingly fun just screwing around. I aggro'd Hanz and Franz by swapping out my gun for Hydrocane and charging them with rocket boots and made sure to run across the room in Flamebender to inhale the soul of someone who died.
I think I'm going to take a break from WoW once my sub runs out. This is actually the longest I've been concurrently subbed, three and a half months in a row now. I normally take a small break between each month but I've been really into it playing through WoD and the like. That being said, it's pretty much been the only game I've been playing and I am getting a bit tired of it. Garrison work has gotten a touch stale imo. I've had a super great time with WoD however, and I'll probably resub when the next big content patch hits us. I need to catch up on some other games. :v:
What're the thread rules on private servers? I've joined a TBC 1x server and it seems great aside from population.
No punishment except everyone will rate you dumb because "hurr pleb". Yeah, a problem that will never be fixed on private servers is that population, no matter how big on the server is, will never be able to rival retail's amount and integrity.

Most servers are ghost towns :( I wanted to get some dat nostalgia, playing through old Azeroth and BC again is fantastical.
tonight i set up a local private wrath of the lich king server because i wanted to fly around and see all the old zones pre-cataclysm, had a lot of fun at the same time it's just made me incredibly frustrated with the current game. it made me realise, i've never been to feralas, or aszhara, or desolace, or silithus, i've never been to the far parts of eastern plaguelands, there's so much stuff i haven't seen because of how streamlined the game is now. i had never seen the outside of dire maul until today, and it was pretty amazing. i wish when the dungeon finder came in in wrath that it got you into a group but you still had to make your own way there. i think that was the start of the slippery slope i know a lot of people enjoy end game, i personally don't (i don't even know why i have a subscription, or post in wow threads, i only play like an hour a day to hop on and do some questing towards getting loremaster) and i don't like it a) because there's no sense of achievement anymore because of LFR and flex raiding which is piss easy and makes "heroic" and "mythic" (good job changing the names of those to make people think it's a new feature, blizz) less enjoyable because you've already ran the same content a thousand times over and b) pvp is shit because all classes have about 3 spells and basically all do the same things with different colour spell effects but it would be great instead of just rushing people through the low level questing content with heirloom gear, heirloom mounts, 300% xp flasks and etcetera, instead they made more quests that took longer, required more travelling and actually brought back some sense of adventure to the game it's too late to change it all now i guess, so this is a bit of a pointless ramble, but i keep finding myself coming back to wow wanting to enjoy it but always end up leaving disappointed
My problem with the game is that you can go 1-100 and get geared for Heroic raids without saying a word [editline]3rd April 2015[/editline] The social aspect of the game is really hurting

I try to start a conversation, but everyone just ignores me and speedruns the instance. It's really frustrating to greet everyone and not get a response back. It feels like I'm playing with bots.

I enjoyed classic through wrath because I made friends through questing and looking for dungeons, eventually I found a guild and still talk to a couple of guys from there today. I enjoyed cataclysm because my close friends from real life played, so I had people to talk to. I didn't enjoy Mists (mostly because of pandas) and don't enjoy WoD because I don't have anyone, you don't have to speak to anyone - you can argue that you should just speak to people anyway, but I've joined guilds and attempted to start conversation and every dungeon I've been in recently ends with the tank shouting racial slurs and leaving [editline]4th April 2015[/editline]
Well if you want the Vanilla experience, I hope I you like typing "LF2M, need healer" for an hour.
what's wrong with doing that? firstly, I don't think it was actually that bad. and if finding groups was that bad, they could still implement the LFG system but remove the teleportation to the instance. that, or merge realms the proper way by having 50% less realms with twice the population instead of what we've got now where what realm you're on means literally fuck all but i don't see what's wrong with waiting to find a group of people. maybe if the game hadn't conditioned people to be so lazy and just want to rush through the content as fast as possible over the years, then finding a group and going together to the dungeon would be different than it is today. i've been playing nostalrius and really enjoying it, so much so that i'm probably just going to end my retail sub. the classes are unbalanced as fuck, you die far too often and get frustrated when you find that the nearest graveyard was 5 miles away, and there's a number of other problems with it. i started a warrior recently and it's level 7 at the moment, it took roughly 4 hours and 40 minutes according to my /played thing. in retail wow you can do that in less than 10 minutes with heirlooms and a flask, and no i'm not exaggerating. and in that time, i've done some quests, gone for a walk up to ironforge, joined a guild, helped some other players with quests, took part in group quests that actually require 3-5 people (remember when you had to get a group for Hogger??) and overall had a great time with that 5 hours. all because i'm not thinking "gotta rush to level 60 fast as fuck so i can grind dungeons and LFR" you might think "well that sounds like a pile of shit, the content is at end game why do i have to quest all the time" and I sort of agree with the current state of the game. but if the devs focused a bit more on questing content instead of putting all of the interesting stuff behind the level 100 barrier than questing would be more fun. you'd go out of your way to quest in new zones when you made your alts so that you could experience more of the content, instead of just making your 100th human male and arming it to the teeth with heirlooms to then run around the world staring at a zygor's guides waypoint arrow until you're level 15
-Nostalrius-
Fuck it, I joined since Vanilla and I never got more than 33 as a Human Warrior named Jaik. So i'll probably join you if I can. Because the server sounds for something i've been wanting and I completely agree with you. Whenever I start a new character there's a push to just get to level 100 as fast as possible that it absolutely kills leveling for me, and I think I could use a break from retail to see what other private servers have did.
