they introduced 40 man molten core to remind people what vanilla raiding felt like, and it makes me laugh because for a while everyone was like "oh man vanilla was so cool, come on blizzard let us play it" and then once it happened people were like "blizzard wtf this is horrible why did you do this" most people didn't raid in vanilla, so a lot of people weren't aware how much it sucked. and even those people probably didn't really like the game in vanilla because it took a thousand years to get to 60. vanilla private servers usually don't do very well, or they cater to the small brain-damaged population that actually enjoys it. Most private servers right now seem to run on Wrath (the best expansion) or Cata (for the pvpers). TBC has like no servers because no one wants to run it because it also sucked.
You know, calling people who like something brain-damaged doesn't help your argument at all. I enjoy it because it feels like I'm actually adventuring, not getting to 100 so that I can actually do anything. It's not that I don't enjoy doing end-game stuff now, it's just I don't get the sense of adventure that I used to out of it.
ugh, it's genuinely awful just how many assholes there are in LFG Ignore doesn't even work, thanks blizz
ugh, it's genuinely awful just how many assholes there are in LFG Ignore doesn't even work, thanks blizz
I've noticed that there are alot of tanks and healers that will just get pissed off and storm out if the group doesn't do the instance in record time with no mistakes.

Mostly because a lot of them believe that "I can do no wrong" despite them overpulling dungeons. This was super prevalent when I did UBRS during the time before WoD.

I enjoy old wow, I also enjoy current day WoW 80% of the time. Don't call people brain-damaged just because they like what you don't
I recently got WoW and I was wondering what happens when I don't pay up for my subscription, I remember reading here https://us.battle.net/support/en/article/world-of-warcraft-starter-edition that I can still play it after I lose my subscription, I am not too sure if that is correct or not, and I'd test it but I still have a month left and I don't want to spend 20 bucks if it turned out to be incorrect.
Once the time runs out you will only be able to play on characters below level 20 and only be able to join guilds you already have characters in.
Ah, thanks. Hopefully around then I'll know how to get a lot of Gold while being under 20.
What kinda sucks about WoW tokens is as far as I'm concerned, I can't buy them while my sub is out because I can't access any of my characters that have tons of gold. Is there a way around this and I don't fully understand WoW tokens or did Blizzard not think it all the way through?
You can log in and it'll ask you if you want to resub, taking gold from all your characters on a server. That's what I did.
Ah, thanks. Hopefully around then I'll know how to get a lot of Gold while being under 20.
The max gold you can get on a starter/unsubbed account is 10. You pretty much need a max level character or two to start to get gold rolling in.
Cute little image of me and the RP guild. [t]http://i.imgur.com/sWTlNQY.jpg[/t] I also visited the Horde side of Wyrmrest to get a feel for things. I initially thought it was a bit more unpopulated than the Alliance side due to a pretty tame Orgrimmar, then I found out that Silvermoon is the real capital for the Horde on the server. It's elf craziness, man. Turns out there are more Blood Elves on the server than any other race, even humans.
Blood elf are absolute filth, today someone said LOK TAR in trade chat and a filthy elf told him to stop.
Almost got Oregorger down but some ranged DPS pugs left before, and the rest just wasn't enough, and he enraged.

While I don't mind Blood Elves myself, seeing so many snobby wanks made me and a friend go full on Orc master race mode. [t]http://i.imgur.com/JajrHpC.jpg[/t]

I identify as Bloodhawk or Mana Wyrm depending on my mood and my triggers are orcish battle cries (I was molested by a band of orcs when they invaded Quel'Thalas during the second war so if any of you fuckers say shit like LOK TAR I will block your green asses) and complicated raid encounters.

Why did you pick a Panda? Because it was suitable race to jump into a largely unknown world for you?
ugh, it's genuinely awful just how many assholes there are in LFG Ignore doesn't even work, thanks blizz
I was nearly kicked from a group back in MoP for rolling Need on a pair of pants the healer pally wanted. They were damage pants, specifically Arms AKA my spec at the time. He wanted them for his off-spec, which was tank. My mate's in that guild. Gobbo rogue.

Tokens aren't out in EU so I haven't been able to test and verify it.
I've noticed that there are alot of tanks and healers that will just get pissed off and storm out if the group doesn't do the instance in record time with no mistakes.
it's funny, because I'm talking running LFG with me as tank and my girlfriend as healer, nicely going through with sensible pulls, and the DPS 90% of the time get raged that it's not an instant run and ninjapull constantly fucks me off big time

I never play anything other then tank or healer.
I usually either do LFG as healer/tank or with someone who is the healer and if people start being dumb they start getting dead.
I tell her to let them die but she takes it as a personal failure if anyone dies :/
I agree with you about a Worgen rework.
Why did you pick a Panda? Because it was suitable race to jump into a largely unknown world for you?
When people ask me what my favorite expansion is, I generally meekly go, 'How about that Burning Crusade and WotLK eh?' Don't get me wrong, I loved the shit out of BC and WotLK because they felt so incredibly Warcraft-y and lore heavy, with characters like Illidan and Arthas being some of the coolest character out there. (I pretty much like all the expansions, every one has added something I love, and stuff like the soundtrack and landscapes are always so perfect.) However, the setting that was chosen for Mists of Pandaria is a favorite of mine. I love the old culture that Pandaria is inspired by, and that old folk-y sounding music heard so much during the game, coupled with a more modernized versions of it. This tune is probably my favorite Warcraft song. Even listening to it now as I write this I still feel so impressed by it. This of course leads to me really liking the actual race of Pandaren themselves. I just love how they were designed, and the whole race/class combo of Pandaren Monk might be my favorite combination in the game, right up there with Orc Warrior. It also helps that Wind Walkers are my favorite DPS class in the game, it's soooo fun to play. So in a nutshell, I'm just a sucker for MoP and pandas. As for your last comment about it being suitable race, that's a really good point. I don't think I really thought of that, but it's really fitting. Someone can say, 'We're going to Gilneas' and I can be like, 'Where's that?' without breaking character. So that worked out pretty well I suppose. :v:
Listening to that soundtrack I'd just pay the subscription to be able to listen to that music and roam the world. (But then my conscience kicks in and I don't.)
the music in mop was ridiculously good, however there's only one contender for best warcraft track

I miss Northrend. I go there for dailies and stuff every day, but it's not the same.
