Best zones for me are still the wooded place above Orgrimmar, Durotar, the Jade Forest/Valley of the Four Winds spot of Pandaria, Stranglethorn.. all so pretty and fun.
Stranglethorn in PVP servers is ganker central, still love it tho.
Admiral Taylor's Garrison was my favorite section of Spires.
Talador can eat my whole ass, though.
I forgot Talador existed until I got to 90 on my Goblin.
Spires is the best because birds.
yeah spires was my favourite
Huh, on thinking about it Spires might be my favorite of WoD too.
Entering it for the first time, hearing that music, seeing the inhabitants running in fear, the layout of the actual zone (the whole spires rising through the ceiling of trees was 11/10) it was so atmospheric. At first I didn't actually know if you'd actually be able to go underneath the trees, it was so menacing and shaded compared to seeing the zone from the sky.
how is taylor's garrison anyones favorite what the fuck
the only good part is killin the bone wraith and getting ben gibbs as a follower/taylor as a follower
the rest is just "let's walk through toOh now I got aggro'd by the 5 npcs 10 feet away"
god i fucking abhor taylor's garrison
Well to be honest, the quests areas in Arak are packed with mobs. Unless you're on the road, no matter where you're doing quests, you'll always have at least 3 mobs trying to bite you in the ass.

I think Blizzard generally has done a really good job at the atmosphere and zones of this expansion. I actually enjoyed just exploring the zones much more than with the other expansions (maybe except for some WoTLK zones).

Meh, most of the zones felt very vanilla to me in a bad way.

The lore application is what makes it cool.
It suggests that Scourge elements may be working with the Burning Legion once more.

Northrend alternate timeline maybe? For lore reasons might be silly, but I would love it nonetheless.

From the looks of it, some sort of dark power (probly from the [sp]Dark Stars[/sp] tempted one of Taylor's followers, who was most likely already a former necromancer, into [sp]starting a rebellion and also killing everyone, and raising them to undeath.[/sp]

unless I missed something, there was only one Dark Star
Noticed some alliance hunter trying to take down that giant rare elephant in Nagrand. Ended up helping out as a horde DK and 3 more alliance showed up and took it down all without killing me.
Was a PVP server too, pretty cool guys
About future expansions, Blizzard have already said there won't be any time travelling for a while, since they're quite aware we're tired of that (their words).
If I had to guess, I'd imagine we'd either go after Azhara or more Old Gods would appears. Still haven't seen N'Zoth.
probably gonna be a south seas expansion
not much they can do besides south seas, a cataclysm 2.0 in the form of a legion invasion or bolvar deciding ''well this is boring time to let nerzhul out of the pen''
I've been waiting since Vanilla for Kul Tiras, I need it Blizzard.
Seeing there's new ship models in 6.2 for something that doesn't necessarily deserves that kind of work (garrison harbors) they could very well be ship models actually made for the next expansion.
or, we're going to sail over to the ogre continent which has been taken over by the legion

IIRC shards were taken off and given to Ner'Zhul's lieutenants and they just call those Dark Stars too.

I thought it was implied that [sp]he was saying that someone took charge of the Cult of the Damned on a global level again[/sp].

Could be who knows. I just hope they take it someplace instead of just leaving it as a one-off story.
Looks like Draenor will be a no flying zone forever, and possibly all future expacs.
It seems people aren't happy about this either.
Personally I hope this isn't an excuse to hide zones off in the future like they did with Tanaan.
I wonder why they went from flying being added later in expansions to, as far as I understand, not at all. I don't really mind too much either way, but it's interesting.
I really hope they don't keep a permanent no fly policy. I'd much rather not have half the mounts become redundant.
Although limiting flying till max level would be fine.

I am even ok with them making flying available on the last patch of the expansion, but to ban flying outright for the zone is kinda dumb when you have treasures based around flying with feather in Nagrand.
I get the feeling that it's just to cut more corners, they wouldn't have to flesh out the entire world if people couldn't fly over everything. It would basically be how it was with vanilla, they only had to provide art assets to what people could see from the flight taxis.
The removal of flying for WoD and future expansions is kind of lame. It was something nice, a good perk for making it to max level and saving up the gold to afford the training, it was trivialized in Cata as it was necessary to even participate in most, if not all zones so it wasn't something special. They took a step back an made it a benefit for being max-level in MoP again, and now this... It's like we're just taking another step backwards. I don't see how this can be considered a good thing other than preventing "swoop in and kill" questing and PvP.

the feather allows you to get pretty much anywhere except tanaan, so the world is fleshed out alright

Oh yeah you're right, whoops. I kind of forget that the feather is a thing since most of my time is spent vegetating in the garrison.
I've never been fond of the flying mounts so I don't mind if they go trough with this.
