Are guest passes for wow even a thing now?
You can still get them via time card packages.
And yeah they are useless.

You can't and never could use guest passes to renew subscriptions. They only ever gave a 10 day trial with a level 20 limit.
Now that you can play for free as much as you want up to 20 those codes are completely redundant anyway.

A lot of stuff you have to do for it though, but once you do it's access for all characters.
I was going to complain but you pretty much have to complete all of Draenor's outdoor content to get it. I'm okay with this.
I actually feel like this is pretty cool. Not only does it give players a crazy incentive to do all this stuff, but the reward is huge too. Win-win imo.
I think they went a little soft on the 100 treasure requirement.
If they were set on making players fully experiencing the world to its fullest, why not limit it to needing to find every treasure there is?
I like that change.

I have over 200 treasures so maybe I am biased, but I am really happy about finally being allowed to use my flying mounts.
I bought two flying mounts from the Blizzard store during MoP and then they just make them pointless.
I felt like I was cheated on money.

The requirements don't take a month. Especially if you're actually doing the content that's available to you.
That's like saying "There's nothing to do" then "There's too much to do" without an actual change in the content available.

You can just keep playing the game like you have been and not fly.
Hopefully they remember how to make daily quests for the new factions so it isn't just hours of walking in circles grinding mobs (or waiting until the garrison missions reward enough rep tokens).

The only daily quests associated with the new factions are apparently the new Apexis dailies. Have fun!
The good news is that mobs appear to grant a bit more rep than before, and Blizz has added the ability to gain 600 rep with a certain faction with a daily dungeon, as they did in MoP.
I felt so bad leaving my old guild that I transferred an alt to their server to help them out, since they lack a second tank at the moment.
