Rather than faster shots with higher friction on a light ball, it's a heavy ball with a LOT of momentum and it feels very wrong. Try "golf with your friends", this feels so bad
I agree it feels like a bowling ball. I didn't think it was much of an issue, since it's really hard to make it like "Golf With Friends" soo. At least since a lot of "Hole-in-ones" require precision and it's only really going to happen with a bowling ball and not a high friction light ball.
Here's an idea, based on the canvas statues
Canvas sprites, that would rotate to always face the viewer, make it feel like DOOM.
more like doom snes
I don't see how it being in EA really makes much difference to whether it's on sale or not.

It's way too early for us to be doing sales. Tower Unite's only been on Steam for 2.5 months.

It's way too early for us to be doing sales. Tower Unite's only been on Steam for 2.5 months.
That doesn't seem like a very good reason. Plenty of games have a small sale even after a short time. Doom has been out for less than 2 months and has a 40% off sale sale, for example. Not going on sale while everything else is seems like a bad thing to do, there's no real incentive to buy it at this specific point in time over other games.
It's not like it's an expensive game in the first place but that's not really the point. If the game had been on sale, even just a 10% discount, i would have got it to play with friends as there would then be a good reason to buy it at this point in time instead of waiting until it's cheaper and buying other things instead.
To be fair, there is not a whole lot to do at the moment so I don't think increasing the user base right now is such a good idea. Right now it's mostly the core GM Tower community playing this.

There's way, way more needed before this game is in any shape or form are ready for sales.

What sort of things is it missing at the moment?
I wish I could find servers with people in them, on my server list there's usually a load of servers but like 4 servers, and like 5 players spread across them
What sort of things is it missing at the moment?
Half of the minigames, and most of the plaza.
Also I think the problem with the game is that even if it did get a good playerbase. They really shot themselves in the leg with the whole Call of Duty style Host connection for servers.
They really should've made a good solution with a main server -> gamemode server solution. But, oh well. It's too late now and I don't see it changing.
There's no need to go to the Lobby servers and it won't change even after the lobby is filled with content.
There are some serious Casino addicts, which baffles me.
Back in GMT there were some regulars who you could ALWAYS find at the Casino no matter what time of day it was, without fail.
Once Casino is out, we'll have a more consistent player base on Lobby servers.
I'm personally waiting for Laser Tag and Fishing. Fishing is probably quite a ways off, though.
Give me Trivia, the whole idea of Trivia with the new database and the potential of new questions over and over. Really, really entices me.
lmao the compression makes it looks like sludge seeping out of the bottom.
hi friends, just incase you've missed the casino wip from the last week or so

I see they recycled the wheel of steam games cat thing.
We totally need a Sentai themed slot machine.

indie go go get a grant
Wonder what the additional funds will be used for unless it's to just top off whatever they have spent already.
Just got this game for my birthday. Seriously love minigolf. I still have a lot to do and I'm probably going to spend hours alone just decorating my condo. I'll probably do a huge write-up on things I'd like to see and stuff later.
New Update which you can read here - http://steamcommunity.com/games/394690/announcements/detail/961899992396474819
Hey there sTUd muffins, we’ve got a little update here to address a few things. Being disconnected from Steam should be a lot less frustrating and confusing to everyone from now on.
Also, be sure to check out our latest development blog about our progress with the Casino.

We've got the Casino Update coming as quickly as possible, should be out by mid-August.
We're also preparing our next awesome update, called the Boardwalk Update. The upcoming Boardwalk Update will make some of the most anticipated Boardwalk games fully playable.

Plaza Changes:
Laser Tag building has been completely remade
Celebrations building has been completely remade
Bowling building has been improved, but still under reconstruction
Fresh building has been improved
New Monorail station above the stores
Developer Notes: The old Laser Tag building was a quickly made placeholder. We came up with a few concepts with the new building over the months. After the new building was put in, the other buildings needed more detail and texture variants as the Laser Tag building made them feel smaller than they should. The old building was tragically torn down in a construction accident.
Miscellaneous Changes:
Improved player movement feel in Condo
Developer Notes: The movement friction in the Condos has been vastly improved - meaning walking around will feel more smooth and less like you're on sticky paper.
Improved look of hair on characters models
Clothing and hair on player models no longer shine like they are wet
UI Changes:
Added difficulty tags to Ball Race map selection
Developer Notes: Finding a Ball Race map that meets your skill level was always a blind decision. Now with the tags, players can easily understand what they're about to jump into.
Each Game World now has their own sub menu to make creation of servers a little more easier
Developer Notes: The change to the Game World menus should help newer players find things more naturally. We found through playtesting & feedback that the create button was not obvious enough.
More informative loading screens
Units will now display “OFFLINE” when Steam is unavailable instead of 0
When Steam is offline, the user will be presented with a dialogue that explains why the game doesn’t work without Steam
Friend list will now say if you couldn't connect to Steam networks
Vending Machine now has use prompt
Item Changes:
Outside Chair is now colorable
Closed Cardboard Box is now colorable
Stairs are now colorable
Increased character limit on Notebook from 500 to 1000 characters
When you drink Wine or Margarita, it removes the liquid properly now
Optimizations:
Optimized the main menu level, improving FPS overall
Reduced VRAM usage on Plaza (around 120MB less in most areas)
Optimized icon resolutions (lowers VRAM usage quite a bit! 135MB less VRAM usage to be exact!)
Fixes:
Fixed media input box not letting you type into it
Fixed getting drunk leaving the DOF effect on forever
Fixed player name tags being massive white blocks when first spawning
Fixed being able to open the Notebook multiple times

So far my biggest complaint is how much everything costs in-game. I feel like I have to play 5 full games of mini-golf just to get one interesting item. With the Casino on it's way though, I'm not sure if this will make units easier to gain, but I do hope this is something that is taken into consideration.
Something else I'd like to see is more player customization. If I had to use a reference, I would choose All Points Bulletin for character customization. Being able to buy clothes and mix/match them would be great. I don't know if that's something that's planned for the future, but the current pre-made selection of clothing is pretty bland.
That's all I have for right now, except I'd love to see more mini-golf levels and for some reason the mirror in the condo bathroom doesn't reflect my [sp]cat ears[/sp] hat.
Oh man, that backer statues room. :ok:
