They were saying that they want to change the old ways of devs having to have no communication with the community to avoid the backlash from fans getting overhyped and/or disappointed, and now they're doing this shit.
I'm confused. Do they have no internal communication? How did something as bad as this ARG happen when the PR lead wants to avoid the exact kind of backlash that this ARG will generate? What are they thinking?

Good ARGs aren't like this. The good ones have a big payoff that's unexpected even for the people who figured it out.
ARG that doesn't reveal relevant information is a waste of time.

Normally ARGs are way cooler than this, because there's some mystery as to what is going to be released, or in some cases who's even running the ARG at all
