how would you tweak/change s76 ?
The way they did it in the latest PTR update.
I'm not sure how this is considered valid criticism for only D.Va while people vehemently defend characters like Tracer and Widow calling them "so deep bro"
Nearly every single playable hero is flat as a board character-wise
Every hero has like two characteristics, save for a few, that's true. It's just that D.Va's are literally playing videogames and being Korean. She doesn't even have any voice lines except video game slang and Korean. Now I don't know if she talks about something else in Korean but spouting LOL and APM and ;) isn't an engaging personality. My favorite character in the game is Soldier tho, I don't know if that's much better.

76 at least has lore and actual significance to Overwatch
I just think D.va's annoying. Maybe Reinhardt is a kind of generic bombastic knight, Reaper's a generic 13 y/o's OC, and Bastion's a generic innocent misunderstood robot, at least they aren't obnoxious like D.va.
76 is also just a reused, unused comic book character, so he's technically had character development for a long time now. Though it's safe to say they had to change quite a few things.

Also the fact that D.Va got replaced by a gremlin by the community in almost all non-lewd fan art tells me that her character isn't that good.

??? how does this affect the in-game character's personality at all
76 turned into a dad who makes shitty puns and Reaper turned into a stereotypical edgy teenager on deviantart so I guess that's their character now?

Shut up dad
Most of the OW cast are more caricature than character, imo. I think it's why some of the more bizarre or larger than life characters feel more passable or plausible while other more plain ones becoming noticeably one dimensional or boring.
There's been a few theories that Sombra is actually one of those God program AI's like Anubis, and that the "transmitting message to Omnics" or whatever is actually hinting towards a new gamemode sorta like Mann vs Machine from TF2. I honestly wouldn't be against that though, because a new gamemode would definitely mix the game up a little bit.
also i'm loving the new OP picture

Friend, you have no idea how many D.Va lewds are out there.
That being said, the gremlin is definitely my favorite take on her. :dewritos:

That's quite the claim you made there. Phoenix Wright told me you should always back claims with evidence.
Overwatch - Post D.Va pics

Pretty sure that's a monkey.
Altimor. Bout it.
I still laugh at the idea of them one day nerfing D.va's ult after constant "Nerf this!" Taunts :v:

I don't see why they would. Even post buff its still one of the more sub-par ultimates.
Took people like 30 minutes and her ult became useless again.
An AoE one-shot slash area clearer doesn't seem very subpar to me.

The issue here is that its countered by awareness rather than a specific hero.
There are ultimate's in the game you need a tank to block.
Anyone can just get out of the way of Self Destruct, the fact it has a caution sign hud element that literally points to where it is doesn't really help either.
Its not the worst ultimate, but its still not very good.
It's a bad ultimate because it doesn't consistently kill at least half of the enemy team.
Sarcasm aside, the ultimate is really freaking good for teamfights or places like the last point of Volskaya. Forces people to split up and run away or try to block, but when your team is there with you it shouldn't be easy. It also trivializes Sound Barrier and Transcendence, and setting it off right after the enemy Mercy revives is even more fun.
It's also a full heal, and you get to run around with your hideously strong lightgun mostly unprovoked for the duration.
i must be the only one that keeps on getting killed then by dva ults, i never have enough time now to find cover

Thing is, I always judge ultimates by what I consider to be the best ultimates in the game.
And currently I believe those to be Earth Shatter and Graviton Surge.
Self Destruct is way more avoidable and doesn't teamwipe nearly as much as those ones.
riptire needs a goddamn buff.
or atleast some kind of ult refund if it never even fires off in the first place, almost all other heroes get their ult refunded when it flops.
They do, PTR removed this.
But yeah Rip Tire is pretty bad.

Different ultimates with different downsides and counters for different occasions, used by characters with different useful kits. What about charge time? Synergies? How easy they are to use?
You can also use the "easy to avoid" argument with your two examples, as people should be prepared when they see the enemy Zarya/Reinhardt starting to charge right into you.
