Zen's meditate emote is fucking GOAT. Just played a game on Route 66 attack where the defence was overextended, so I got up on top of the cart unnoticed and meditated my way to (almost) victory.

I'm surprised and very glad it's not legendary. The wind chime orbs are amazing.
Probably gotta go with Tickled tho.
Because first of all Dreamworks are total hacks who produce quantity over quality, which is more evident in that they mocap sequences rather than key-animate it like any other respectable animation studio and secondly because Blizzard has a disproportionally large cinematics team compared to most other studios, and large studios + short film length = great quality and (usually) narrarive.
Which is a great thing. :v:
Activision cut many jobs at Blizzard to compensate for the fuck ups of other studios under Activision. It was around 600 people who got layoffs.

I'm fine if overwatch never becomes a haven of furry avatars in Mario kart maps with "friendly hooovies XD" eating sandwhiched in a bizarre electronic role play scenario
My PTR placements have so far been filled with people barely talking and running single support. I can't really complain about single support though. I've been forcing DPS/offtank in case I have to carry, since placements have sketchy at best skill matchmaking. My teammates might be thinking the exact same thing. Solo queuing placements just sucks no matter what I guess.
I main Zenyatta, for the most part, so I kind of force the hand on double support.
When I play I always feed useful info into voice chat even if it's been quiet since the start of the match, usually it helps.
I'd suggest playing what you're best at while still keeping the meta in mind. Only force yourself to play a role as a last resort to fill in your team comp.

I love both of them. Wish I could equip more than one.
I've had serious enough placements, which I solo'd. If no one was outright lying, I was playing with a lot of low to mid 70's and a top 500 or two every placement I played and ended up mid Diamond. The two good DPS players of my friends ended up high Diamond/just short of Master. When I'm with them people are playing well enough and no one is doing anything seriously stupid outside of a Mei on something that isn't KotH. You can tell there is a lot of testing the waters going on though, and the mad rush to first pick Hanzo.
I ended up the exact same place as you, mid Diamond. I didn't pick Hanzo any in my placements but I've been testing him in QM and loving him. I'd be surprise if they don't tweak him again before PTR ends though.
If this update goes live like this they might as well remove Quickplay.

I think it's neat that the sprays and avatars are all there and you can't do a custom one so that shit doesn't happen.
bored, throwing this out there.
first to reply get's a goofy overwatch-related doodle of their choosing. can involved 1-2 characters. No porn allowed.
Why did they nerf what might've been the worst ult in the game (against coordinated players)
I was browsing Reddit yesterday to see if anyone found Sombra hints and the guy who made this posted it there.

I'm glad that some more lighthearted and easy to mess around with taunts were added, it's just enough casual flavor that the cold, black tryhard hearts of so many players I encounter actually crack a little and a bit of joy actually seeps through.
Like earlier I was playing Junkrat and I was just lobbing bombs into the enemy, and I see an enemy junkrat in the back just laying down looking at me, so I pop a mine under me and sit right next to him. A roadhog hooks me, the initial damage kills me, and my bombs killed the junkrat and we both laughed and blamed the no-fun Roadhog. I haven't had such a genuine experience like that in Overwatch until this update.
Overwatch just doesn't need conga line levels of taunts. Some double hero interaction emotes would be great though.
As cool as the new emotes are. I hope it doesn't go the path of TF2 where servers will just stop fighting just to use emotes. Call me a party pooper but I actually want to play the game.
Well prepare when update goes live, it'll be like that for entire week then people will actually bother playing.
In the meantime, you might as well play competitive mode while there's emote mayhem.

I don't think Dead eye is even that bad in the grand scheme ultimates.
Not that its good, theres just a lot of shit ones.

..
Hands down the worst part about Genji mains. :v:
Dead Eye is great denial. It can also be devastating if you catch the enemy off-guard like on the last point of Dorado.
It's a weird choice for a character revolving (ha) around killing squishies up close, but it makes him well-rounded.
I don't understand why people say Deadeye's bad, it forces enemies to be attentive to it for its full duration, which likely makes them at least more vulnerable to your flankers, or can deny entering in an area for a while, or get kills against ballsy / innatentive players, just because it doesn't get 4 kills per ult like Genji's 3 meter long dong blade doesn't make it bad.

I feel like it's decent at best.
It's just too easy to counter and I feel there are too many heroes who can outright deny it, D.va and Genji as examples.
Doesn't this latest patch make it worse in a way too? You can't simply cancel it and save 50% anymore, so now it's even riskier to use.
It's not completely useless but it certainly isn't as useful as many other ults, especially from offence-specific heroes.
It occupies the slot that I think D.Va's ult used to share, it's great if it's timed correctly but against people that know it's coming it's more area denial.
So that may sound dumb about my idea for changing Symmetra but, fuck it might as well say that.
*Slightly reduce the cooldown for sentry creation
It feels a little slow when you are placing your sentries. Before you want to make a 4th one, the match already starts.
*Increase the flight speed of alt-fire and make it dependant on the charge. No charge = It moves fast, at max charge = It moves before the change aka slow
It makes sense imo, Symmetra would be able to either shoot fast small energy balls that deals low damage or fire off a large but slow one which deals some heavy damage. Sure it penetrates shields, but it can be destroyed with the Defense Matrix or deflected by Genji.
*Make Symmetra move a little faster when building a sentry and don't just remove it during the building process when you get killed
This always gets me and perhaps some people. If you get killed while making a sentry, it'll disappear, even if it's almost done. The fact that you move slow, kinda makes you an easier target.
* Give 35 or 45 shield to your teammate
25 is kinda, eh. Not so useful.
(Optional imo)*Slightly increase the speed of level building for your primary fire
Her primary fire is dangerous for sure, but before you even reach the level 3 you get killed most of the time and if you do, it's mostly on players who are still fresh.
I've been also thinking about the idea of giving the same level buildup for the sentry, but i am not sure if there is already one, since most of the time your sentry gets destroyed. If it does then perhaps, increase it?
It occupies the slot that I think D.Va's ult used to share, it's great if it's timed correctly but against people that know it's coming it's more area denial.
Even now D.Va's ult is pretty avoidable, albeit her ult has the utility of a HP restore so I'd say its better than Dead eye.
But I think overall I'd give the trophy for "worst ultimate" to Winston.
I've never once seen the use for Primal rage other than a last ditch "Im going to die please help me" button.

What if they realize you're freaking huge and not hard to hit at all and cant even offer any sort of retaliation to them?
I'd rather be using whole hog to push people around.

Considering we don't even use umlauts, but rather separate letters with markings on them, yeah. Definitely not.
