McCree is literally better than Soldier and Reaper in every way. He has way too many options and is way too versatile. He is amazing at any kind of situation you throw him in, long range, short range, medium range. I play McCree a lot myself (Reaper being my most played) and I still find him to be a broken piece of shit. Thinking he's balanced is laughable. He rewards you for knowing how to play an FPS. Shoot at random in the general direction of the enemy (bow's tension is irrilevant)
At times, shoot your scatter arrow and/or your sonar arrow (the latter is especially useful because it creates an illusion of usefulness around your performance)
When your ultimate is charged (which won't be long), dish it out somewhere and then resume the instructions I've already gave you

because the joint most picked character in the game is the character that allows mccree to one-shot half the cast
wait until the PTR nerfs hit, then make balance decisions - doing anything before that is irresponsible
bear in mind that there is an entire class of character that is horribly underpicked which hasn't been dealt with yet, so rather than rotating the fotm damage class, that should be resolved first (which they've started to do with hanzo)
I hope the PTR update comes out today, I've been hesitant to get too used to like, five characters because I know that they're getting pretty dramatically changed stats wise

I played PTR for a few hours today and there was still a Genji in most games wrecking shit. A really good player isn't affected by the nerf very much.

McCree was almost dead when he got nerfed and only used to counter Pharah in closed maps (his left click was the only thing to rely on).
Finally they made him not a sniper all around hero or a spamming RMB. They need to buff other heroes and revert that S76 nerf.
