POP figures have always had shit quality.
Only ever bought one, the Doomguy one, just because I wanted it in my collection, and the paintjob is literally McDonald's Toy tier.
As a somewhat neca collector I should admirt - giving neca rights is a gamble - they either can produce amazing figure series simmilar to their long-standing pva/movie maniacs, or drop their shit on one single fiasko like tf2, prometheus etc (though that happened a while ago)

AFAIK Neca only did this with TF2 and L4D and the main reason those lines haven't continued is because Valve hasn't given them approval to actually continue them. They said that on their twitter very recently.
There's no telling why Blizzard is actively stonewalling the release of Overwatch figures. They seem to know that the demand is there and the #1 company that produces high-end articulated adult collectible toys is practically beating down their door asking them to do it.
Neca's a bit crazy in a way too since they have this habit of making figures they want to make before they even get legal approval for them. I can think of two separate instances where Neca designed and even produced figures before getting the final approval from the license holders.
Like, if Blizzard said yes today I imagine we'd have figures of 76 and Reaper on shelves within three to six months tops.

They did it with the Gremlins line. the Prometheus line. and a bunch of others too.

Nah, I think even people that don't collect action figures would want an OW figure or two. Overwatch is an extremely toyetic franchise.
Like it's no secret that after TF2 one of Overwatch's biggest inspirations is GI Joe. 76 straight up has a Duke skin. Overwatch feels like a video game adaptation of a toyline that never existed.
