I wouldn't know, I only recently got into BF because of BF1.
Only do it for the MP weapons, and even then...
Which is why I was curious
BF3's campaign was a little better than 4.

Is that the same voice actor as Fergus from Wolfenstein TNO?

Looking at Gideon Emery's IMDB (That's the VO's name) I don't think so - and he's listed in a couple unreleased games like Mafia III.
Though apparently he played SSgt. Henry 'Black' Blackburn in BF3, so maybe it is him and they just haven't announced it anywhere.

I actually liked BF3's single player quite a bit. I thought the story was pretty good.

My favorite mission was definitely Comrades.
Single player enemies are so dull. They stand and shoot at you, or crouch and shoot at you, or run past you to go stand and shoot at you.
I started having some serious issues with origin after the new UI update, after launching a game through battlelog the executable doesn't show up on my taskbar even though the battlelog thing claims the game is loading and in-game, no one seem to have this issue so I'm kinda hampered here.
Has anyone else lost their BF2142 unlocks? Had all the starter ones last night but none this morning.

Gameplay wise they're both painfully scripted and that's coming from someone who likes the very linear Call of Duty campaigns. Story wise yeah BF3 was waaaay better, it was much more grounded in reality and was just a story about some characters who get caught up in some bad shit and try to do their best to save the situation while BF4's tried to tell some grandiose story concerning an entire world bar basically that isn't even properly explained.

I still think that a single player in a Battlefield game has no place, since it doesn't represent what the game is about. On the other hand, a more sanboxy campaign would be quite welcome.
BFBC1's SP was pretty damn fun - open maps, vehicles, the squadmates talking shit, and the whole plot of going AWOL to steal some gold, good shit. Too bad it's not on PC.

Oh yes, it's probably the best single player in a Battlefield game to date. That is because it wasn't as scripted as later games.
They also sucked all the fun out of the characters when they made BC2.
The pilot in the SP is Canadian

I was gonna say that
BC1 was incredibly open world while limited due to console, you could literally take your time from pointa A to B in any way you wanted.
I kinda liked BF3 and 4 single player, but they are not memorable.
I completely agree with the fact that BF doesn't actually need a campaign of any sort, I kinda preferred the lore side of things in BF2/2142/Vietnam/1942 where all the backstory was displayed in descriptions on the map loading screens, which just added immersion.
BF4's campaign has a lot of people breathing heavily and shouting at each other.
RECKER!

SEASON 6 HYPE
Just finished watching the intro of the Bf1 single player through Twitchcon and holy shit, DICE really capture that ww1 experience. German soldier pushing through the British defence, flametrooper burning everything, shocked soldiers walking back slowly with their gun down as if they gived up all hope and a German soldier tucking his knees in with his arms wrapped around them. A lot of detail for the intro and quite emotional.
