New Nvidia driver just came out.
Empire's Edge is quickly becoming my favourite map, though Monte Grappa & Amiens are fun too.
Back with another tweak, I think this one practically eliminated all stutter for me. Just open up console and type this "gametime.maxvariablefps 60" (Just change 60 to whatever fps you want to cap).
Worked for me as well. Thanks a ton.
Empires Edge, Monte Grappa, St. Quentin's Scar, Fao Fortress and Amiens are my favourite maps. The rest are ok, though Sinai Desert is definitely at the bottom.

[t]http://i.imgur.com/LzN1Sd8.png[/t] Oh boy. Do you guys generally scrap or keep? Also, for the love of all things Sigmar: if you're gonna make your own squad and be the SL, press Q to make fucking orders. It's free points. Don't even get me started on the nerds who join with a group and have a squad locked with only 2 slots filled. edit:
Back with another tweak, I think this one practically eliminated all stutter for me. I only have a GTX 960, so maybe I shouldn't change it at all. Runs pretty smooth on high with some occasional stuttering.
I wish that when you joined a match with your party, your squad would start off open. It's annoying to be suddenly down to just 2 folks because your leader/yourself hasn't opened it and you're too focused on the game
so the full auto pistol for the pilot/tanker is fucking incredible: [vid]https://my.mixtape.moe/skooxk.webm[/vid] this happened last night: [vid]https://my.mixtape.moe/xpzxzq.webm[/vid] [vid]https://my.mixtape.moe/qnhetf.webm[/vid]
What do you recommend I set the cap to? I only have a GTX 960, so maybe I shouldn't change it at all. Runs pretty smooth on high with some occasional stuttering.
Well if your monitor is 60HZ, I'd cap it to 60.
Is it just me or does the game feel like it performs worse than the open beta did? I was on a 980 ti at the time of the beta and getting 120+ fps most times - now I'm on a gtx 1080 and sometimes dip to even 70 (though a lot of stuff is usually going on). It's even happened in the singleplayer campaign (second mission of friends in high places). I tried playing at 1080p rather than 1440 and barely gained any fps, so maybe it's a cpu thing?
I can't stop laughing at this. http://i.imgur.com/9O8iuYV.mp4
Trench Warfare is pretty much nonexistent in this, which is disappointing but understandable, 1918 was the year that the stalemate was broken and it was pretty much a conventional war to the end.
Play operations, plenty of trench warfare there. Usually on the first or second pair of flags. On conquest there isn't that much trench warfare to be had because of the nature of conquest in general. Rush and operations are the best trench warfare experiences to be had in bf1 to be honest.

Which is what I believe happens in operations people party queue and then end up in a squad, normally someone will unlock it if you ask in chat nicely as they probably don't even know it defaults to that. *edit/beat lol should have read the post under yours...
I tried really hard to like the Lewis Gun but the thing is just objectively terrible at everything the thing's two big pros, the sustained fire accuracy and huge mag size are both offset by the thing's stupid overheating mechanic which forces you to reload every 36 shots or so. The DPS is utterly weak compared to the other LMGs which are already generally pretty low as a rule
I played Rush a bit for the first time since the Beta and surprisingly I really enjoyed it. It has a very conservative player count of only 24, but with only 24 players the smaller maps don't feel like a clusterfuck and you can actually get things done.
Monte Grappa's third sector in Operations is the key test to determine whether or not your team is organized. [editline]23rd October 2016[/editline] Also remember you can cap the B flag on it (or the B objective in operations) from above, you don't need to go into the bunker. So many times we've started capturing the objective by just having more men on the point but then half of them run off to try to get in the bunker and get killed.
It begins
tfw you're arguing with a person whether scout is too powerful, in the middle of an argument a scout takes out the dreadnought with K-bullets
For the people getting the directx GPU hung error there is a 43 page thread on the forums about it.
I tried DX12. apparently i'm one of the few who DX12 actually improves performance for. went from 50 fps on high to 80.
New nvidia drivers fixed the fps drops I've had.
I'm actually started to get really disappointed at how many iconic WWI battles aren't represented in the game. Where's Vimy Ridge? Wheres the Somme? Where's Paschendaele? Where's Ypres? You'd think for the first ever mainstream WWI game they'd want to do these iconic battles like all the early WWII games did D-day.
Just as I was typing out something about how I haven't had any bugs I lost all ingame sound followed shortly by both my game and the origin client encountering errors and shutting down.
how do you people make the FP logo on the companion app so well? mine looks like complete shit
Could be the new nvidia drivers actually fix whatever was wrong with DX12. Haven't tried it yet myself.
the new Geforce experience thing is shit, its broken shadowplay for me and it says the most recent drivers were released July 13th. Hopefully this update fixes my issues though. I tend to get the most stuttering on the smaller maps where everyone is clumped together and it makes reacting faster difficult
rank 17, 0 Battlepack drops
Can you really not change loadouts at the main menu? Just the app and ingame (both super buggily I might add)?
Can you really not change loadouts at the main menu? Just the app and ingame (both super buggily I might add)?
This really annoys me because I hate feeling like I'm wasting time fiddling with my loadouts in game and I've tried it on the companion website and it never saves. Hopefully they can work out these kinks and maybe just add the option to do it in game. It was fine with Battlelog because I could tool around with my loadouts while I was in a queue, but since the browser is in game in this one, if you're stuck in a queue, there's not much you can do other than wait. You can't even access the codices in game, nor on the app. Only on the companion website.

This latest one is supposed to fix that issue. The thirst for no fps drops in BF1 is too much though so I'm going to stick with it edit: oh my mistake, I'm not on the hotfix version. Need to get that from the site, hope it works
