Two idiots get in a fight.
[vid]https://my.mixtape.moe/wxgjmz.webm[/vid]
This is how most of my fights go.
Also does anyone else here just not care about weapon skins whatsoever? Maybe I will when I max every class and have an abundance of scrap, but early on I just want a variety of guns.
still wishing bolt-action rifles were all-class weapons, I feel useless playing scout since I can't revive or resupply but I don't like the semi-autos and SMGs very much

As scout you get the spotting flare, which is incredibly useful as it marks enemies on the map in a HUGE area. Yet no one uses them.
Also the tripwire bombs are pretty good in choke points.

Also the spotting flare can set people on fire, so that's fun.

Well I always use the spotting flares as scout, but I find them hard to like for 2 reasons:
1: aiming with the thing is kinda hard as it has an arc right off the bat
2:its effect doesn't seem to last long enough
Many times I shot a flare in an area with enemies in it, only to have few to no spot assits because either nobody tried to flush them out or the effect dissipated before they could reach them
Killing someone with it is funny as fuck though
It's funny how the horseman is strong as fuck WHEN NOT on the horse.
On the horse you're basically a stupid fucking big moving target, you get destroyed in five seconds flat, the sword got wonky as shit hitboxes so you just run on people and nothing happens, your horse gets stuck in the smallest stupid shit and worst of all it takes three shots to kill anything with the rifle while mounted.
When not mounted you're a walking angel of death since you can get free health AND free ammo so if you time it well you're basically invincible, not only that but the sword is incredibly strong as a melee weapon so you can just land two pistol hits on someone and instakill him with the sword.
Shits fucking stupid. Get it together DICE.

Scout is a pretty versatile class if you actually use your gadgets. Spotting flares are really important to help with mortars or bombers, and the tripwire bomb can help cut up people trying to capture objectives.
Should I keep using K bullets? They don't seem to do enough damage to be worth using.
Should I keep using K bullets? They don't seem to do enough damage to be worth using.
Yes, they can disable vehicles, stop repairs, and shoot people out of tanks if i remember correctly.
Edit:
It's really just for harassing the tank while assaults move in/ AT launch it to finish it off.
In my experience teams are usually too unorganized to actually do this though.
Should I keep using K bullets? They don't seem to do enough damage to be worth using.
certain areas on vehicles can do a lot of damage when shot at
you can destroy an armored car with one bullet
Should I keep using K bullets? They don't seem to do enough damage to be worth using.
they are essentially "nope, no repairs" in gadget form
I'm considering that the weekly medals might actually be sucking fun out of the game because you try too hard to achieve them and as such you're playing in a very niche way that is usually not very successful, and you enter this downward spiral where you just hate the game because you're not doing well.
Maybe I'm just doing it wrong and trying too hard :v:
Hmm, then I must not be shooting at the right spot

I don't see the point of the medals anyway other than the epenis factor and the bonus XP
They don't even unlock anything.
Do they give battlepacks as well? I almost feel like they do but I can't confirm it, and the remaining medals I have to do are a bit more difficult.

I just track the ones that fit my play-style, so far the only one I've got is the one that is about capturing points.

I don't think they give battlepacks.

I do them for the XP. It's quite a substantial boost.
But it might not be worth the price I pay in salt.

Nah, fuck K bullets. I like carrying around the shield with the loophole to shoot through. It's nice running around in the thick of battle with the Gewehr 98, run down an alleyway and just plop it down, go prone and set up a hasty ambush for the poor bastard about to chase you down
Also, I shot a guy who was running down a street by himself about 30 meters in front of me with the Gewehr 98. I hit him in the chest twice and it only did 99 damage. Someone explain to me how the fuck. This was the moment I decided I'm not playing anymore until Hardcore mode

This bullshit
Yes
This is why I hate normal mode
99dmg?
Why not 100?
It hapenned to me once, and it gave the guy plenty of time to shoot me back
I'm pretty sure I got his head too

i don't think that should be possible, even in the legs.
if you headshot someone with the gasser revolver it only does 35 damage
i don't think that should be possible, even in the legs.
That's what I thought. The lowest I've ever seen a shot from the 98 do is 60 damage and that was a long distance limb shot. He wasn't a special unit or anything. I shot him, chambered another round, shot again, total damage was 99
Also, putting down medic and ammo crates, and the sniper shield when you're prone needs work. I think they refused to be placed more times than not and that's not a lie
I don't think damage points are representative of their health. I've landed shots with 100+ damage points and they didn't drop.
What's the best pistol to unlock right now at a fairly low rank (9)?

The spotting flare is extremely useful when you are having a big fought around any form of door way. Just pop a flare in the doorway they come through and anyone wanting to push gets set on fire. Never gets old

I just go for the ones I would be getting anyway, and ignore the rest. The rewards aren't that high any way

That is so weird. According to the game files the 98 cannot possibly do less than 60 damage, including the legs.
But i have had a suspicion with bf ganes as of late that sometimes a killing blow will not be counted as a killing blow and instead leave someone at 1hp

You get used to the arc of the flaregun after using it for a while. Im at the point now where I can pretty much always land it where I want it. Fun tip for Empire's Edge, if you're coming up to D from E, you can shoot the flare at the tower on the left and bounce it off the wall so it always lands right in the middle of D. Also if you're really close to where you want the flare but its over a ridge or a hill and you dont want to peek out, aim straight up then angle yourself only a couple of degrees towards your target. Im also pretty certain that the flare spots while its in the air too.

Honestly, the three all kit pistols(the M1911, the P08, and the FN M1903) are pretty good, ok damage, fast rof, and fast reloads. Other than that, the revolvers are good if you want high damage, but they almost all have VERY long reloads.
[editline]27th October 2016[/editline]
I wish medals did give you a battlepack for completing them, then there'd be a reason to actually do them.
Hooooly shit, the M1903 with the Pedersen device is so fucking good. It basically gives you a really fast firing pistol that has longer range and has a fourty-fucking-one round magazine which basically means you never have to reload. Also I've done pretty good using the spotting flare as just an incendiary grenade launcher.

Maybe it has some penetrative ability? So the second shot lost some of its damage because it went through a piece of wood or something. Even if there wasn't an obvious object between them somethings hitbox might have been in the way.
