And I thought some update on BF1 resetted those things..

So it turns out the reason I couldn't play the game online anymore after a couple of days was because when the pre-order went through, a family member thought their card was stolen and cancelled it, and it was charged back. After contacting support while trying to figure out what was going on (I thought there was some bug with my account, didn't know about the credit card issue) they informed me what happened, and actually unbanned my account and let me keep the game. Pretty damn awesome of them. I feel guilty as hell for essentially getting bf1 for free though. Definitely going to drop money on their expansions when they come out to help make up for my mistake.

Not only have I never won it as attackers, I've never seen it lost as defenders. That said, I've seen the last two sectors of Argonne exactly once (as attackers when we won it) and I've seen Sinai won exactly once (again, as attackers). I've won on Iron Walls twice as attackers and as defenders have never once lost on Empires Edge. All that to say, I generally agree, winning as attackers is quite difficult, and I can count the number of times I've lost an entire operation on defense on one hand. It's a delightful change of pace compared to dealing with Ubisoft, who took 2 business days to get back to me on a routine issue just to let me know they can't actually fix it, and Valve who's customer support is absolutely dreadful.

it's so frustrating to have a team that doesn't even try to kill the enemy behemoth, especially on the desert fortress map with the dreadnought, just letting it rape everything for the entire battle some dude got over 70 kills in the battleboat without anyone paying him attention

I discovered the art of the Cavalry when went 40 and 7 as one. Cavalry sword is so silly sometimes

Cavalry on foot is the best elite. The fact that you can heal and resupply yourself is great.

So I just bought bf1. Installed. And as soon as i launch it opens for 2 seconds then instantly closes? Anyone know whats up?

Second I'd go to the redist folder and rerun the redistributable installers (I don't have BF1, but for BF4 it's "...\...\Battlefield 4\__Installer\vc\vc2012Update3\redist").

I had an issue where it would crash on launch without an error, installed the latest drivers and it launched fine.

Not sure how DirectX works entirely but conflicts can happen if you have 11 and its trying to launch in 12? I'm no help really there, but just throwing out possible ideas. Resolved it :v: Apparently my origin was on a older version? Didn't seem to update or want to update. reinstalled origin instantly fixed [url]https://forums.battlefield.com/en-us/discussion/37444/crashing-on-startup[/url]

Honestly, from what some people have suggested, it appears that DICE didn't even put an installer for DirectX in Battlefield 1. It could be possible that it's the cause of all of the issues.

Just won Oil of Empires only using one behemoth because we couldn't get the very last point on Sinai. Won it the next round by about 50 tickets. Aggressively sniping in this game is so much fun. I've just been hanging a little back behind my squad and just shooting them once and finishing them off with my pistol and then capturing objectives. Goddamn this game is satisfying to play

Is anybody else having trouble connecting to EA's servers?

Am I a bad person if I just use the flare gun as an incendiary grenade launcher instead of using it to spot people?

I feel like there is so much visual noise in the game, I can't actually fight anything without having the redglow around it. Battlefield has always been in this weird place where I've played Arma and I've played cartoony shooters and it tries to sit in both especially with this installment and I just can't function in it.
