Battlefield Franchise Megathread V2 - 'The Future of Warfare Is in the Past' Edition - Games

I'm pretty much terrible with an occasional fantastic game :v:

Does anyone else think the War Tapes setting sounds worse in BF4 than it did in the previous two games that used it? Maybe I'm just going crazy?

Is there a way to get the Steam overlay working in BF4? Can't seem to get it to work.

I had a game last night where I killed one tank alone, another tank alone, then died to an LAV, like why are there that many vehicles on a map the size of Zavod lol. I really hope Battlefield One has better infantry/vehicle balance because I'm quickly discovering that, after taking a break for games like CoD/Overwatch, the amount of fun I have during sessions of BF4 is inversely proportional to how many vehicles I have to fight.

Some maps i don't even get why they have bigger vehicles to begin with, like Propaganda. ATVs, Jeeps and MAYBE an LAV is all that map needs but NOPE, tanks.

BF4 servers are shitty tonight on Xbox. It being on sale again probably isn't helping.

Woah there is a lot of players in BF4 now, seems like sales really worked. I mean the game was far from dead even before the sale.

I always check to see if the scoreboard is really one sided. If it's pretty even then I'll watch it for a minute or so (while checking others) to see if it stays that way, and only after that I'll join the server. If I have good games on that server, it usually means they have a good autobalance and I add it to favorites so I have a list of servers that are likely to have fun and close games.

The A7V looked a lot less maneuverable in that video compared to the Mark IV, guess I'll have to wait and see for myself though.

Us individual players are replacable as fuck, so, i see no problem with being picky and choosing servers which will actually have fun in them, and not the 1000th 10000 heli hours pilot gunner combo stroking their K/D.

Since Hardline is $5, should I go for the ultimate edition instead? Or will they make more of the dlc free like Getaway (which I missed like a chump).

Just got the BF4 from the sale and gosh I suck in this game. I've played the game for few days and my KD is sparkling at 0.65 Then again I wasn't very good at BF3 either, but I still find both games really fun to play.
