Can I freely admit that having to grind out money for literally everything in Hardline is balls.
You know a match is gonna go well when it starts with a jet takedown.
I'm pretty sure that gun is on the airplanes. Plus is still alpha so who knows what they're gonna add.
True. It should be on the Zeppelin too, though. Not a major issue by any means but it's just one of those things that adds more flavour to the game.

It's really a shame that Hardline is absolutely dead with regards to North America because it's still quite a fun game.
It's really a shame that Hardline is absolutely dead with regards to North America because it's still quite a fun game.
At least there's a few servers that'll often be hosting full games. Although one is hotwire only and one is 24/7 block. Sadly I probably won't be able to get the syndicate gun, but BF1 comes out in 3 months so I'll get my lewis gun action then. Sans the laser sight and armor piercing rounds. [editline]13th July 2016[/editline] Funnily enough if I compared the ratio of time played to money spent I got a better deal with the $5 hardline deal than BF4.
I honestly really enjoyed Hardline. Even though it did feel very much like a cops and robbers skinned BF4, the infantry combat was improved enough and there was enough content (in my eyes) for it to be worth it. The single player campaign was actually really fun and if I was able to actually adjust the Fov and not have to feel like I was going to vomit I probably would have finished it. Of course I was a bit of an idiot and bought premium as well :v: I figured "Hey, I got 300+ hours in BF4, if I can get half that it'd be worth it" I never expected it to die so quickly though. I loved the dlc weapons though. The FAL was probably my favourite weapon in any Battlefield game. I don't feel salty I spent that money though. I like Visceral and Dead Space 1 and 2 are two of my favourite games and I feel alright that I at least supported their endeavor making a bf game. Way more looking forward to their star wars game now though.
Well, I managed to shoot a pilot out of a biplane with the scopeless Lee Enfield. Time to never do that again as long as the game is around :v:
Why exactly did they think the special weapons should be one person-unlock only in Hardline? It's stupid and irritating to everyone you're doing it with, and a waste of time. At least you can do the Mammoth with only two, do it for the Syndicate gun? Hah fuck off.
You know what I'M looking forward to in BF1? Servers being 60hz tickrate by default.
You know what I'M looking forward to in BF1? Servers being 60hz tickrate by default.
And 80 ping minimum in Australia cos the copper can't handle the throughput :v:
I missed this thread
Where were you?
In Netherlands obviously. :v:
https://twitter.com/BFBulletin/status/753288124307017728 BF1 Open beta in august (maybe)
They did say "open beta in summer" during the reveal so it'd have to be in August at the latest.
Where were you?
AFK My internet speed got gutted due to construction around my whole neighbourhood for "the largest park of Amsterdam!". I can upgrade back to 100/10 at the end of the year again after the digging and re-cabling is done. So I haven't been able to upload loads of videos and they're just sitting on my harddisk waiting to be uploaded :( Feels bad man.
i dropped an unguided bomb as an attack jet on a passenger heli in mid air, killing 4 people.
i dropped an unguided bomb as an attack jet on a passenger heli in mid air, killing 4 people.
Reminds me of something else that happened yesterday: I was gunning for ponylionHD when he bombed the enemy bomber in BF1 :v:

Anyoine else having huge problems taking levelcap's videos about the BF1 alpha balance seriously? He brings up so many points straight out of his ass, and 90% of them just don't make any bit of sense. Don't think i have managed to finish any of his latest videos because of it.
Only if you think that DICE only listens to him when they make balance decisions (which they obviously don't). He also makes some valid points from time to time. Don't forget that at the end of the day it's just his personal opinion.

I don't think i have managed to watch long enough to get to any good points. Usually the constant whining about "kills don't matter anymore because they don't give points to the team" turns me off watching so quickly, because he does not even realize that there is way more ways kills can matter other than giving the team points.
Well, he's got a point regarding the role of planes in conquest right now. At least in the past even if you weren't directly capping points at least if you were very proficient with jets you were having a quantifiable impact by getting kills (1 kill = 1 ticket) on TOP of denying the enemy team their armor and air support. With the way conquest currently works, it's actually BETTER for the team for you to avoid fighting as much as possible and just cap. If you're in a plane, even if you get kills, respawns are so fast now that you have almost a nil impact on the outcome of the match and the planes are so much less good at destroying armor and killing infantry compared to the stealth jet and attack jet that you might as well remove them completely from the match and nobody on the ground would notice it. We actually brought this up in the thread when the BF1 multiplayer was revealed and we got footage that it was disappointing that you wouldn't be able to swing a match by matching flags and then going on a killing spree anymore.

Spawns are fast, but so are caps. A plane bombing a point has swayed a fight more times than i can count, likewise getting any kills at all is valuable from a stopping what the enemy is doing, perspective. The only problem i can see with planes right now is that the two bombers are way, way too squishy.
I think planes are going to come into their own and be really powerful when the BF3/BF4 style jetwhores get a hold of them and figure out optimal turnrates and shit. I'm a mediocre pilot but I went 18-2 in the fighter craft the other day and like 12 of those kills were against infantry on the ground.

Also that you can't heal automatically and someone can very easily interrupt your repair
Also that you can't heal automatically and someone can very easily interrupt your repair
Actually, spekaing of. Air vehicle repair is extremely buggy. Usually a pilot is unable to repair until they re-enter the plane....which does not work at high altitudes. That also takes some of their usefulness away in the alpha.
