why would you expect anything? it's literally a mailing list, it's not like you paid extra or preordered or something beta 1 day early seems pretty reasonable considering all you did was enter your email address at some point

I was spam-refreshing the BF official website just as the livestream was revealing the first footage of BF1. Signed to Insider as soon as the page loaded (it was active even before the livestream broadcasters mentioned anything about it), I enlisted, got a closed alpha invite in the first wave, no problems. But I agree that the Insider program is a gimmick, just like the Premium features being a paid open beta testing for any recent BF game. Just look at the DICE 'programming cycle': - 6 months of paid beta testing (premium suckers buying in, beta testing the game and sending feedback) - release of DLCs and some more paid testing - release of Community Operations - finished product by the time a new BF IP is released I expect similar stuff to happen to BF1, especially after seeing how these DICE sluts chopped up the WW1 main beligerant factions into future DLCs that don't respect the war timeline and involvement.

At least we know if DICE Sweden fucks up, old reliable DICE LA will always be there.

Is there even any indication of that though? DICE LA being called up again to take care of BF1 after the Swedes are done with it? Always thought it was done by EA to further damage control the awful launch of BF4 and that something like DICE LA's blessing would never happen again unless the same clusterfuck happens again.

Surprisingly small, only 7.5 GB

So far, amazingly fun. I encountered a few glitches but nothing major. The experience of riding a horse and running over people with it is really fun. I can't say anything about the combat since I haven't played battlefield since 3 but I got to play as the armored guy that was shown in one of the trailers and he was not OP at all. I'm running this on an MSI 1070 gaming X with a 6600k and 16gb of RAM. Worst I've seen it go is 70 fps and the highest was 140 while running in the desert by myself. I was running it on ultra.

Wished they had preloading, this is gonna take like 6 hours to download, aka can't play until the end of tomorrow :v:

Aye, ain't receiving any emails. Should've seen this coming as the BF Insider thing wasn't sending me any mails despite me registering for it multiple times and having it keep on saying that I've registered already. Gonna be fun spending most of tomorrow downloading rather than playing :suicide:
