I don't I feel like I take people down in 2-3 shots and usually when I go out in the open i just get bodied
Like I said, I play hardcore or classic Battlefield 4, there is no health regen. Health regen only exists on 'normal' servers. Battlefield 4, most weapons including assault rifles require some recoil management. Regardless of server difficulty. Battfield 1, most weapons that I used felt like I did not need to do any sort of management at all. Battlefront, all weapons have no recoil management at all. Battlefield 4 when I play hardcore/classic have much smaller healthpools so you can't run around soaking up bullets. The opposite is true for Battlefront/Battlefield 1.
Well, yeah, hardcore is kind of not in the beta, so no shit is different. Were you expecting regular BF1 to just play like hardcore in the other games? And again, BF1 has no full auto assault rifles so no shit you don't need to handle the recoil as much as you would with a full auto assault rifle. The full auto weapons absolutely do need recoil management, the SMGs will basically not hit anything at any range if you just full auto with them.
I haven't played any of BF1 yet but I would be totally okay with making tanks first person only, and I'm a vehicle whore. I like the idea of powerful tanks, but they should be awkward to use in close combat and require good situational awareness on the player's part.
Ey yo the beta has appeared on my origin store for non-insiders :woop:

I said if you enjoy it then fair enough. I do not enjoy it, I explained my reasons End of.
your reasons are stupid
your reasons are stupid
Okay
EA Online is down for anyone else?
No, I wasn't expecting it to be hardcore like the other games, hence why I said it's of no interest to me as a day 1 purchase, pretty sure I explained that. is anyone else getting full gpu usage whilst doing absolutely nothing? [t]https://t.s-ul.eu/EF9myq9Y.jpg[/t]
I can see not liking the game if all you play is hardcore but I just don't see the Battlefront comparisons people are trying to draw.
Okay
well I don't know what you want to hear when your argument is this vapid "the base game is not like the optional hardcore difficulty in the others, which hasn't been added to the beta yet! i'm not buying this CRAP!!!"
So you want it to be like hardcore but even if the main game is going to have hardcore like the others, you're not going to buy it?
If you read what I said. I said I don't expect it to have other difficulties on day 1, therefor it will not be a day 1 buy for me. I didn't say anything about not buying it in future. I did say however, I am not willing to buy it on day 1 only to wait for the other difficulties to be added because only after a year or so of being out, that Battlefield 4 became playable in terms of patches and the classic gamemode. Currently how it feels now to me as a person with their own opinion, that it's not enjoyable. Why would I be encouraged to spend money on a game I don't find enjoyable when I have the game I find enjoyable, which is Battlefield 4. If it eventually comes to a point where Battlefield 1 has that same feel, then perhaps I will buy it. In it's current state, I will not. [editline]31st August 2016[/editline]
well I don't know what you want to hear when your argument is this vapid "the base game is not like the optional hardcore difficulty in the others, which hasn't been added to the beta yet! i'm not buying this CRAP!!!"
Well that's a quote I never said so good going. I didn't say it was crap, I said I MYSELF did not enjoy it. I didn't expect it to feel the same. Like I originally stated.

Assault Rifles, Carbines, LMGs, and PDW's all functioned almost exactly the same, just with minor differences like magazine size and falloff. Now all the weapons function differently. SMG's excel in close quarters, but because of their innate spread, they cant handle much beyond that. LMG's are made for suppressive fire, they're not just AR's with bigger magazines and less hipfire anymore. You can spray and pin down enemies with accurate fire, but they suffer in close range because of their low initial spread. Semi-autos are all rounders doing well at all ranges but not outclassing anything else. And bolt actions are super powerful, especially with the new "sweet spot" damage model. They're still slow and take careful aim though. I just feel like the weapons have way more variation and nuance to them than they did in BF4.

They haven't said anything about it, yeah, but I feel like that's kind of a given. BF3 had it at launch, BF4 had it at launch, BFH had it at launch. It's not really something they have to specify with every new game.
i love simple ui's and all but they don't work for a WW1 shooter at all also the map sucks arse but the game is worth preordering tbh
So apart from EA online not connecting, is it also a feature that you have to click "no" to close the game when it prompts whether you want to close the game?
So apart from EA online not connecting, is it also a feature that you have to click "no" to close the game when it prompts whether you want to close the game?
it just takes really long to shutdown for some reason.
I kinda hope it doesn't tbh.
I'd rather Classic replace Hardcore, honestly. I never liked hardcore because the game was never balanced for it, but Classic only promotes more teamplay since it makes working with your squad essential.
Performance in this game is weird for me, I have only a difference of 10 frames from the highest settings to the lowest. (35 fps on ultra, 45 fps on low) also I struggle to actually kill people in this game because there's so much shit going on and everything shakes like a JJ Abrams action scene
I do appreciate that vehicles stand out, with one exception... what's the deal with the light tank? It's way too fast and can sight you down immediately and fires so fast
I can't even play. :( Just says "lost connection" from the main menu and will never actually hook in. Big disappointment, I was looking forward to playing on my lunch break.
I can't even play. :( Just says "lost connection" from the main menu and will never actually hook in.
Yep, and the page it directs you to is completely useless. "Is PSN or Xbox Live down? Were you banned? Those are the only possible reasons."
Well, I dunno about you guys, but I'm pretty sold. I'm rank 32 so far, so I'm probably getting this on launch or preordering it.
Probably going to buy this. Very fun game.
Honestly maybe its just because I'm used to 32p conquest normal but bleeeh I'm really on the fence about the game. My #1 complaint is that tanks at the moment are waaay too powerful because now only 1/4 infantry classes can attack them (effectively anyway) and it also just highlights that 3rd person for vehicles is the dumbest shit ever, nigh-omnicience around the tank because magical floating camera of outside perception.
Tanks will get less powerful once people get good. The assault class is made to completely obliterate any armor if the user knows what they are doing. The rocket rifle especially out ranges tanks, and is an amazing gadget for dealing with tanks. Likewise the anti tank grenades is amazing and can be spammed much more than equal stuff in earlier games. The biggest problem right now is that people are idiots. I go on frequent killstreaks with tanks and i notice a few things. 1. Assaults don't even try to fight, they just run around and waste time. Even when i am all alone, not even focusing on them, they don't seem to understand how much damage they can do. All it takes is 3 grenades, and i am dead. 2. People attack tanks with normal weapons. I have not once seen this many people walk up to tanks and shoot at them with normal firearms. 3. People don't pay attention. I've often found myself driving a tank and suddenly a guy runs or drives past it, coming from behind me, going past me, and continuing on ahead. Just wait for people to learn the game, and i promise you, just like the closed beta, tanks will become extremely short lived.
I'm not a fan of the map. It feels like it caters too much to tanks and snipers and if you want good infantry combat there's only a small area worth playing in.
What's up with the rush level and the attackers getting up to 4 tanks at once. Maybe my team just sucked ass, but the attackers just bumrushed us with 3 tanks and at that point you can't do much since its impossible to get remotely close to them. The game lacks a more potent ranged AT weapon.
