It's connecting to EA for the menus and shit but the matchmaking servers are fucked
To all those that said it worked on Windows 7 thank you , like said i had a shit day and i really wasnt in the mood for the shit i was haveing with this
Is it normal that it takes forever to load a game?
how do you get rid of the featured today shit popping up every damn time I quit the game
Is it normal that it takes forever to load a game?
yeah for me it just gets stuck on "loading game" literally takes forever, haven't joint a game yet
It's connecting to EA for the menus and shit but the matchmaking servers are fucked
Server browser still (kind of) works though. I just played for about an hour without issue but I hated the actual gameplay. I just hate all the guns. It's hard to explain, they just don't feel good to shoot. They don't feel like they act appropriately. Also, I really REALLY hate that in the beta you can't get a bolt action rifle without a scope on it.
My dad is a huge fan of Battlefield and he doesn't like this new game. Can someone explain to me how different is it from other Battlefield games? I mean, he told me the game felt like Battlefront, from the UI to the gameplay and even to the point where they'll add "hero units" to the game later down the road much like Battlefront. Is this true? The game looks fun, but if it's really almost a 1:1 with Battlefront then that'd be hugely disappointing. I'd play it myself but my computer isn't strong enough to run it, sadly.
It took me over 30 tries but I got in, played another game. The differences in graphics aren't that noticeable between ultra and low, so if you are concerned about FPS might as well drop a few settings. Still looks amazing
Didn't pay my internet bill yet, so they have my on limited connectivity until I pay it tomorrow, luckily my VPN circumvents the limited connectivity. However i'm not sure if the servers are currently down, or my VPN is interfering with connecting to dedicated servers. Was playing earlier no problem on VPN , except for minor packet loss.

The "hero units" are just the same as the battle pickups in BF4.
Apparently EA and BF1 servers we're DDOS's by worthless fucks who think that's hacking. https://twitter.com/PoodleCorp/status/771068519547011072

I wonder why my dad doesn't like it though. He loved pretty much all the Battlefield games and spends a lot of time playing them. There's gotta be something that's off, but I dunno. The game looks fun to me.
Yep, down: https://twitter.com/AskEASupport/status/771053176069861376 http://downdetector.com/status/ea
I really don't understand the comparisons to battlefront. This has none of the problems that had. Battlefront was bad because of no reloading, no recoil, all weapons were basically the same, no classes, terrible emotes, lack of content, a lack of map variety, the star card system, the small scale, basically no vehicles and those that were there were just powerups, the powerups themselves, missing features when compared to the previous games and it literally being designed for basically anyone to be able to play (they said something like they want 8+ to be able to). In Battlefront it was extremely easy to take out 5 or so players in 1 life and that was a pretty common thing, at least from what i played of it. All those things made it lack any depth and feel way too arcadey. None of those things are relevant to this new game at all. Other than the UI, how are they even slightly similar games?
Maybe they'll feel bad for people not being able to play and extend the beta + give the other map :v: Oh wait. EA :v:
Don't they usually sneak in a second map? Then again the only BF beta I played was BF3 where they threw in Caspian Border later in the beta.

Theres also the Rifleman version of the Winchester rifle, and I think the carbine version of the Lee Enfield doesnt either, but Im not certain about that.
So far my experience has been kinda mixed with everyone having a scope and getting sniped in the open over and over by the same people. But by god does it feel satisfying to use a horse properly, scoring a headshot with that lever-action feels like an orgasm.

Because of the setting I expected the guns to be more harder hitting but everything feels really weak so far in my experience.
Lol what, at the people bitching and demanding free madden DLC because they got DDOS'd
Yeah I saw a guy post this "Soooo should I take that as a no or a fuck me?" like really, the servers are down and you're giving them shit?
On the bright side, the beta will be extended because of this.
Yeah I saw a guy post this "Soooo should I take that as a no or a fuck me?" like really, the servers are down and you're giving them shit?
But they're EA so it's ok to act like a fucking asshole to them, right? /s

I've yet to find a weapon that didn't feel effective, even the pistol can kill pretty quickly if you're on target.
Frankly I'm tired of seeing this comparison.

everytime I launch the game I get this error message. [t]http://techbot.xyz/ShareX/screenshots/2016/08/31/Battlefield%E2%84%A2_1_Open_Beta_22-03_2559.png[/t] origin is running though...
and I think the carbine version of the Lee Enfield doesnt either, but Im not certain about that.
it has the open low magnification artillery sight
Why must people always ruin everything? Bloody morons, of course they had to DDOS.
