Battlefield Franchise Megathread V2 - 'The Future of Warfare Is in the Past' Edition - Games

Yeah, I was all excited to come back home for some more BF1 but nope.

Seriously who are these fucking people who keep saying that? Battlefront was a terrible arcadey shooter that had everyone rely on invisible buff cards that gave you broken powerful items whenever you wanted, to play on terrible maps with no content. This one map has twice as many vehicles as all of Battlefront combined, though still not a fan of having to spawn with them

Everything is locked to high and I'm getting a consistent 120 FPS so I'm sure I could crank it up to ultra no problem, although it still looks really good on high.

It's just like when I finally got my ps4 and wanted to sign onto PSN and sony was being ddos'd, such a fucking waste of time for everybody

With how well the game itself runs when the servers aren't down I'm suprised they, for some reason, decided to cap the main menu at 200 fps. I don't understand why any main menu would need 200 fps

Seems like my GPU runs at 100% in the game menus too; haven't been able to play a match cause of the DDOS shit

What is everyone their opinion on BF1? I have been playing 4 all the day and I've encountered loads and loads of people who're saying it's "a dmr fest" and that the gunplay feels awful. Havent tried it myself, only seen some videos. I got to say, TTK looks so quick in the videos, but then again, I'm watching skilled players. Just looking for some opinions. I got the invite, too, but I don't feel like it.

Here's my BF1 experience: Can't connect to Origin Connect to Origin after a couple hours, finally Launch game, can't login Launch game, can login finally Matchmaking 100% failure rate Go to server browser, pick my region, see a few 64 player servers with 90+ people in queue. The few that have none in queue but people in them don't actually exist so it fails to join every time Finally get in one game Game freezes on the load screen Alt+F4 only way out of it Complain on Facepunch From what I've been able to SEE from other people though is they need to limit the fucking scopes

The snipers get scopes and that's pretty much it. And snipers only get bolt action rifles.

I've watched streams where the only deaths the guy had was some dude with a scope. Seems like it's the only kit and weapon anyone likes using Real men use iron sights

I just think the major issue with Battlefield games in general are caused by the use of sniper rifles. In my opinion, I think the one way to make them more balanced would be to limit your mobility, as well as reduce your accuracy way more if you're standing up with them. I'm no expert on balancing though. But at least having them be bolt-action helps quite a lot.

On the playstation you can just create an origin/ea account by linking your playstation network account, i.e with your ps nick and everything

Man the gameplay is really good, "Failed to Join Server" is pretty OP though. Odd how every team I've been against uses it!

Was able to play 1 match on an aussie server with shitty ping and somehow all my shots were still registering and it was actually playable. 30-50 fps with my GTX 670 was pretty bearable, might just need to tweak settings. Game is so damn beautiful, but it's a struggle to play at the moment with the server issues
