Man, that AT rifle you can find at E is just great. It feels so powerful to fire with that reload animation it just blows the shit out of anything you fire at.

That's not it, he clearly somehow killed him after he died.
Gunplay feels pretty bad for me, idk if its my mouse sensibility but i have a seriously hard time shooting at people even when they are in front of me, i tried using the rifle, aiming straight into a guy a few feet in front of me and every single shot missed

The horse ran him over like an unoccupied car would after coasting to a stop.

Now that's battlefield. Just like my 1st match in BF1 where the driver takes us to the desert point and blows all 3 of us up running into the building

Took a little bit for me to get used to the recoil and how classes actually function different.
Had a fun time horsing up sniper canyon and meleeing everyone.
Really liking this. And loving the new menu and UI they use instead of Battlelog. Gives me a little bit more of a BF2 vibe since there seems to be a lot of new music and orchestral stuff, hope they get some banging tunes for menus
One of the best features is explosions/artillery/grenades actually making ragdolls fly around like in BF2 again
Its funny just how satisfying it is to run people over with the horse :v:
Played on a match against a few people titled "EA_event_[number]"
Wonder if that's legit.
Alright, I'm enjoying it so far, but I'm finding that I cannot fight horses, at all. Perhaps it's because I'm having trouble aiming at the rider, but it seems the horses have a lot of health and so the riders are just able to come up and melee me to death.
I guess I'll post more complete thoughts so far but it's growing on me, slowly. I'm finding it very confusing and intense and I'm not sure I enjoy a wide, open map such as this one. Need to try out some of the alternative weapons and abilities.
Why do I have classes all day. Just want to go home and play more of the beta.
I feel like I'm far better at it than BF4. Especially with the bolt actions, which is what I've pretty much exclusively been using.
I'm a bit worried that games can devolve into a mess of snipers.

Worried, all bf games end up with snipers everywhere
Nothing better than sneaking up on a sniper incapable of looking behind him with the trench knife

Nope, horse was too far and you can clearly hear the sword slash sound.
So if you sprint head on into a moving car with the horse, the car explodes and it counts as a kill for you.

I'll need a video of this
also the FOV options in the game make it looks really nice
First experience with flying a plane; found the controls momentarily befuddling, ended up jumping right out of it. I bet the team loved me for wasting one of those things like that :c
General infantry combat I quite like, but all too often my shots get blocked by rocks that are a lot bigger collision-wise than they appear to be. Haven't really gotten to play around with tanks other than as a side gunner or such.

Also there was this one crap server where I kept on spawning with absolutely no weapons or equipment. Despite that, managed to get a few kills by scavving guns.

well the snipers feel really easy to use even for someone who is usually crap at sniping like me
not gonna proclaim it dead in the water yet though, since a wide open desert map kinda promotes sniping with retarded sniper perch areas like the cliffs
also rocket gun confirmed best way to take out specialists

So much fun
Is anyone else underwhelmed by how..homogeneous the classes now feel?
Unlike previous Battlefields I never have to worry about taking down an engineer who's supporting a tank, or a medic who keeps reviving his fallen teammates, etc. Usually all that crosses my mind is, "Oh, look. A guy with a (smg, lmg, sniper rifle). Better get up close and pray the netcode doesn't screw me over."
Edit: So should I be playing on EU servers, find other people to play with or what? Because I'm certainly not seeing the teamwork you guys supposedly find so 'common.'
So I decided to boot up the old PS4 to try to download the demo. Turns out I can't log onto my PSN account on either the system or online. I can't change my password either.
Guess I'm fated to not play BF1.

I'm probably in the minority but I never cared for classes in battlefield games. I usually played support or medic and hoped to fuck they had the weapons i liked using
I had the best round as being a artillery gunner. Most of the round i pounded the enemy with the field gun. Surprisingly you can do indirect fire with it too. Just need to find the sweet spot on the flag you want to shoot at. All thanks to the new drop off ballistics on the projectiles. It will always work better if you got a friend as artillery spotter up front.
But still fun to shoot indirect fire from B flag to C only way i could aim was to see if i get an hit or not. I could not see where they landed since it went over the buildings.

I'm sort of like this. I just like using whatever weapons I like and end up filling the role of they class they're in. In BF 3 and 4 it was assault rifles so I ended up playing a lot of Medic, then in Hardline I love the Battle Rifles so I played a lot of Enforcer. In the Beta I like using scopeless bolt actions so I'm playing a lot of scout, though I do switch more often since I feel like I have to to take care of armour and since most people playing medic atm seem to be forgetting its called medic and dont through out health.
