I don't think so. The hotspots are close enough together for it to be unnecessary I think.
I think there needs to be like, way more passive vehicles, not like turrets, but more like, I don't know era cars that are just kinda floating around that you can get into
Unarmed staff cars that function as mobile spawn/resupply points
I honestly just canceled my pre-order. Battlefield series has just lost alot of depth and personality ever since 2142 or the Bad Company series.
Honestly I feel like this is the closest thing to a bad company level of uncluttered BF they've gotten
i hate battlefield 4 because the gunplay is way too fast this seems to have so much more balance to it and it seems to me that squad tactics work better than ever now. still has that battlefield vibe but it plays differently enough to where it doesn't feel absolutely repetitive, even on the same map
I just find it annoying to not have access to the game's content without grinding. I just want to focus on killing stuff and winning and not bother with that.
you know nothing of grind the older games had very little unlocks and in 2142 it was one unlock per rank and you could pick from a tree of items. each new gun had 3 prerequisite unlocks. ranking up took FOREVER.
the good thing about battlefield is you can just buy the guns with real world money if you're in to that sort of thing
Anyone else think this game is a complete snooze-fest compared to BF4? The weapons and the pace of the game just doesn't do it for me.
I was walking along the southern part of the map in BF1 and jumped off a diagonal piece of geometry and went fucking FLYING. It was great. [editline]3rd September 2016[/editline]
if dice doesn't fix the issue me and a few other rare individuals are having by the end of the beta they can kiss any support from me goodbye. this probably would have been the first battlefield game I'd have bought since 2142, but now I probably won't bother with this or any future installments.
Wow, you sure seem entitled to an unfinished product working flawlessly.
I feel like the Cei Rigotti and MP18 are a little overpowered. I get killed quicker with those than i do snipers and get out damaged despite getting the first few shots off. It's a little ridiculous.
I remember the nightmare that was unlocking stuff in BF2.
Can't rank up my classes. A lot of people can't. There was a bug to unlock everything no matter what rank you are, though. So which of these two bugs do you think Dice fixed

Cause 4 doesn't have death laser assault rifles or a spammable one shot kill pistol. EDIT: Scratch that last part because the Deagle looks like a slightly nerfed MP412 clone, didn't exist when I played

there's so many shitlords with the m16a3 and something-something CQB. both of these assault rifles are retardedly OP and it's not even funny. they are definitely the bane of my existence in bf4. that's usually what i'm killed by 90% of the time

In BF3 it's twice as accurate as every other AR and has even lower recoil. At least the AEK has downsides with its recoil and reload time. [editline]4th September 2016[/editline] BF1 weapon data is up. Confirms my suspicions that non-sniper weapons are a lot weaker in this game.
Motion blur is applied to faces when your vehicle is moving. Just... only the faces. Sometimes not even all of them. Spooky.
Not even the whole face :v:
Being a tail gunner is probably the single most cinematic and fun experience i've had in a long time.
-Never enough transport vehicles to go around. On a full team you have to wait until someone captures a forward points if you don't want to walk from spawn. Might be mitigated if there's the equivalent of a spawn beacon in the full release; -Gun sights are horribly inaccurate due to visual sway when you move (whereas in BF4 the attachment sights where always 100% dead center since they were rendered independently of the gun); -Reviving is now useless not only in terms of points awarded (mere 25 points) but the fact it doesn't refund a ticket. The indicator is also hidden unless someone calls for help. -The new sweet spot mechanic for the recon class is fun when you're playing that class, but it's not fun for anybody else. Just seems like a "get a random OHK once in a while because why not" mechanic that doesn't really give any more depth to the class. -Conquest in its current form just feels wrong. The only thing that matters is throwing piles of bodies on points and even then you don't feel like you're doing much. Matches always feel like a coin toss. -Being less optimized than BF4 (get big dips to 60fps all the time while BF4 was at a near constant 144fps) but that might get fixed; -UI in general being kind of a hot mess. Objective indicators always seem to be in the way. You can change it so they become transparent when you ADS but they slowly fade out, which is half a second too late when I try to take aim at someone. That wasn't an issue in BF4 where you could customize the transparency of all UI elements, both in and out of ADS. -Spotting seems wonky as all fuck, it worked perfectly in BF4. Just copy it wholesale from there. 2/3 of the time I can't spot something straight in my crosshair. -The only class that can effectively deal with vehicles is the assault, and since vehicles seem much more effective than they were in BF4 it just makes more sense to throw body piles of assaults at tanks. Why play support or medic when you don't live long enough to run out of ammo and tanks are so effective that 90% of the time you'll be dead instead of wounded so why bother with medic kits? -Gun's effective range are incredibly narrow compared to BF4. In BF4 having the right gun at the right range gave you about a 2/3 chance to kill the person you are engaging (at least for me). So while you're at a disadvantage if you don't have the right gun, with enough skill you could either move in to a better engagement range, try to escape or outright kill the attacker. Not so much in BF1, if you're at the right range you'll win 90% of the time. Scouts are untouchable by any other classes 75 meters and out. Assaults are godlike within 25 meters or less. In between, it's shared between the medic and support. Overall, it just feels like you have so much less flexibility, it's painful. Take one step outside of your effective range and you're screwed ten ways to sunday. -I overall dislike the new "inverse accuracy mechanic" for the assault and support class. I find it counter-intuitive and just annoying all around but it's honestly one of the lesser problems with the game, I could live with it.
I disagree with about half of this, and the stuff I disagree with are actually the changes I like in BF1 over 4. I was thinking earlier today that there's more transport vehicles than there's been in vanilla Battlefield maps, and that I rarely feel like I'm waiting for a ride except for the very opening stages of a game, and at E point, which could definitely use a bunch more horses and scout cars being so remote. The majority of the time though, I feel like whenever I'm not in a transport vehicle, it's by choice. So far, I really like the new Conquest layout. I like that it so heavily encourages people to actually play the fucking objective. Seeing the ad hoc squads that form and march between points and then get into cool firefights is pretty great as well. I don't really care that killing doesn't do much in the way of tickets, at least as of right now. Unfortunately the timer is 100% bullshit and never lets a game actually finish, so I'm still reserving final judgement on Conquest. As of now though, I really like the new Conquest, and the only reason victories feel like a toss up is because of that damn timer. I really like the class diversity. I really like that playing a certain class actually means something. I really like that anti-tank is actually a class and not just something everybody can do. I really like that your play style, and the way that you approach objectives and move around the map varies so much based on what your weapons are. Knowing the map, and knowing how all the weapons work has never been more important and I love that. Besides, the CQB focused Assault gets the most badass makeshift sniper rifle ever in the AT Rocket Gun, so it's not like you're helpless against snipers either. I haven't been a fan of the "everybody can do everything" that BF3 and BF4 pushed towards, but this is totally a personal taste thing. As for the touchy subject of vehicle to infantry balance, I'm completely fine with it on the gameplay level. Tanks really aren't as hard to kill as everybody makes it out to be. Once people get good and most people have the AT Grenades and AT rifle unlocked, vehicles will be much less of a threat. That being said, I do still think there's too many tanks on the map at once. However, that's more of a map design problem, and one that DICE SW literally cannot help themselves with unfortunately. Spotting now requires a hell of a lot more precision than it used to, and the doritos no longer stand out to the extent that they did before. Enemies also now no longer seem to appear passively on the minimap either, and shooting no longer puts you on minimap. I like this a lot. The BF4 spotting works very well, but I think it worked a little too well. It was at the point where sometimes I felt like I was playing with a wallhack because you could get kills that you shouldn't have been able to because you knew exactly where a guy was going to be exactly when he rounded the corner. Assault doesn't have any funny business with its accuracy like Support does. However, I'm not too crazy about the Support thing either, mostly because of how little damage the machineguns do even when you hit your mark.
Thank u dice for finally realizing recon should not have remote explosives Only took like 6 games
i noticed a really cool detail, if youre squad leader and you use the go command, your guy does the raid whistle instead of just saying lets go. at the 58 sec mark
People really don't like to push objectives in BF3
People really don't like to push objectives period
fix that for you. well at least no one has to complain about it not being realistic when 90% of matches is both sides camped sniping each other with bolt rifles.
I slay God damn bodies in the bombers front gun. Just had a 31 / 1 KD ratio and my death was because I accidentally jumped out.
I slay God damn bodies in the bombers front gun. Is there any way to disable caps lock toggling fullscreen
fix that for you. well at least no one has to complain about it not being realistic when 90% of matches is both sides camped sniping each other with bolt rifles.
It's actually more like people really don't like to do anything other than spray down a chokepoint for the entire match. Not even stop shooting to rez someone right next to them.
i noticed a really cool detail, if youre squad leader and you use the go command, your guy does the raid whistle instead of just saying lets go. at the 58 sec mark
verdun does this too
Is there any way to disable caps lock toggling fullscreen
is that what ive been fucking doing fuck me
