Yeah, the whole weather thing maps the maps feel really alive. How it'll go from overcast to extremely bright for a little bit then back to cloudy. I also noticed they're no longer doing the bullshit thing where the sun is really low in the sky like how it was in EVERY BF3,4 and Hardline map. You no longer are constantly blinded when you're attacking from a certain angle.
Battlefront had little details like the wind blowing sand across the ground too like on Hoth how the snow glittered realistically

It was an extremely flawed game but i genuinely enjoyed Battlefront.
In other news, i've converted to the following of our dear Lord and Savior, Tank Hunter Attack Plane. I was sniping people off of horses. Fucking incredible.
I kinda like the current class balance, not everything is effective at most ranges anymore.
If quentins scar and sinai desert are anything to go by, the map design is the most open we had in a long time and there don't seem to be any real chokepoints, they managed to make aerial combat fun. I am enjoying the game a ton more than anything since battlefield 2142.
i noticed a really cool detail, if youre squad leader and you use the go command, your guy does the raid whistle instead of just saying lets go.

at the 58 sec mark
Oh! So THAT'S why the whistle appears. I thought it was only when you were playing as a cavalier. Due to you having the horse and all. :v:
The problem with the lack of chokepoints is that battles are a complete clusterfuck. You'll run up with your team and start shooting and suddenly get shot from behind. You'll be flanking an enemy and suddenly you'll be completely surrounded. Although fighting in the town is my favorite (C is the best point imo), there's absolutely no organization to anything and every other building either has a teammate or an enemy in it.
I think the problem is characters feel a lot quieter and nobody spotting / spotting being harder. It leads to you being utterly surprised when you find anyone / anyone finds you, and the number of times I've seen (normally through my killcam) an enemy and an ally obliviously standing next to each other firing out different windows or whatever is really worrying.
I don't get why people complain about 3D spotting. Being able to see someone who's already entered your line of sight barely matters compared to temporary radar hacks on your minimap.

Are you for 3D spotting or against it?

That aircraft is incredible.
Absolutely destroy landships with those.
Are you for 3D spotting or against it?
I don't think it makes a difference. 2D spotting is much more important.
I don't think it makes a difference. 2D spotting is much more important.
I have to disagree then. 2D spotting doesn't really matter when most people don't pay too much attention to the map, and in the game where everyone blends into the background and nobody can keep track of where they're being fired at from, 3D spotting is king.
It's especially useful when aircraft gunners spot, because even if they can't hit the target then the infantry know where to shoot.
In the urban areas it's needed with everyone zipping between buildings, because then you'll generally know where to look for enemies in the mess of hostiles.
2D spotting doesn't really matter when most people don't pay too much attention to the map
Referring to that sort as people is awfully generous.

It's useful for seeing through the insane suppression blur and smoke particles of BF3, but BF1 doesn't seem to have that issue.
Aparently map weather changes are clientside:

This explains a lot.
Game is alright, but I don't like how 60% of all CQC fights are just 'spam f to win' fests, makes shotguns and even SMGs a lot harder to use with the already close as hell range of the two.
The sounds and animations when taking down fools with the club and hatchet are brutal and satisfying though.
yea that would be a huge disadvantage
Is the BF1 DLC going to be Pay to play the maps or pay to play the maps 2 weeks early like battlefront had i think

Is it? Whenever a sandstorm hits most of the server reacts.
[editline]4th September 2016[/editline]
Also I just had an awesome round. Everyone was ressing eachother, the squadleader was giving orders.
The enemy train came around and I somehow took charge and was directing people to the AT guns across the map, directing AA, and made it my personal mission in life to kill the train. It was awesome to see the whole team focusing on it and taking out the planes, with every AT gun pretty much taken. We got it four seconds before the match ended.
Could be a massive bug.
many times I've had complaints about the weather from many players. Not because it's a bad thing but hard to spot anyone.
Both are a sand storm though, one is much more intense
I like how it makes it hard to spot. It turns everything CQB and makes the fighting feel really desperate.
Really it's the best part of the game.
Although airplanes are pretty much useless in that weather.
man I just had a driver on the behemoth that just drove it at the edge of the map and we couldn't hit anything. Why do people do this :suicide:
My biggest problem with BF1 is that this is some fucking cheeky pricing

I like the game but the pricetag makes me go like "hahaha fuck you" and I am just going to wait till the retail version goes low like it always does. then get premium like a year down the line
The bayonet charge sharing the same button with the melee is just bad. I want to crush his head in with the spike mace not run past him.
EDIT:
I also don't like the fact that an enemy has to be less than 80HP to perform a takedown to the side.
How do I level up a class
Play it enough and pray the invisible progress bar eventually gives you a mastery point. :v:

Also, the e to get in but having to hold E to get out is also fucking infuriating when you are trying to get out quickly and your character just gets back in when your car gets destroyed.
Is it just my few games, or is rush unbalanced? Seems way easier to be defender.
How do I level up a class
I've found that you need to constantly be defending and capturing flags with any class to do that. It takes a while but I found that eventually you will start to get levels with any of the classes. I managed to get my Assault to rank 4 this way - and that doesn't get you any more unlocks :v
Is it just my few games, or is rush unbalanced? Seems way easier to be defender.
I personally think Rush is more difficult. But that could also be because every time I played it, I get put in a team with people who don't seem to realize what's going on.
Also, the whole cliff area at objective Freddy can suck a big one.
I've never seen the defending team win a match or rush.
Everyone just goes snipers or tanks, and since snipers are idiots and attackers get three tanks instead of defenders one they just steamroll.
The first and second points are somewhat defendable but the third is ridiculous and the fourth is almost just as bad.
why
