I'm loving the rifleman variants of the bolt actions (ie no scopes), But having to use them with the scout loadout is a pain, it would be nice if all classes could use bolt actions without optics, and perhaps only the scout could use them with scopes and such. It would make them a more viable option and make the game look a lot more authentic, although it would probably also kill the contrast between classes so I suppose it won't happen.
Oh man, the rocket rifle is great. I managed to get a double kill by shooting at a dude far away and the shell exploded and also killed the guy next to him.
Just fucking great! Was just in a very closed match with both team's score neck-and-neck with 2 minutes left. My squad and i just finished capturing C then all the sudden, DICE decide to disconnect me to their server. :what:

I finally got it working with the registry edit, but I'm kind of disappointed that I can't run it as well as I hoped I could. Considering Battlefront came out last year, looked great on my computer, and ran well after the first 30 seconds to a minute after loading into a map, I didn't expect I'd have to run this game on all low at 15 to 20 fps. It feels fun though, but looks like I'm sorely in need of an upgrade if I want to play it on the PC.
What gpu do you have?

Anti-vehicle combat in the beta is so fucked. No wonder people are going 30-0 in light tanks.

Assault gets an AT rifle (like recoil-less rocket gun, but a bolt action thing), there's the anti-tank rifle pick up, there's stationary guns around the place, the Assault and Cavalry classes both get AT grenades, all (customisable) classes can equip mini-AT grenades, and the Scout gets K rounds which do minor damage.
Related: Went 30-0 in first game of howitzer variant. I seriously don't understand the design. The trade off for the howitzer should be more damage with less range or accuracy...but they give it an HMG that covers that weakness against infantry? I feel like the default FT-17 should get an HMG and lower the cannon damage, while the howitzer just has to rely on it's single big gun. Haven't tried the flanker yet.

It's fucked because people are either sniping, or running around close range not really attempting to take out tanks.
You'd think people would find it at least somewhat important in rush considering he with tanks wins, but nope.
Also you can bayonet people Sentry's, and they aren't happy about it in chat either :v:

Definitely part of the problem, but the other part is just how easy it is to stand off in a tank and fight people who have to rush you with fairly short range AT grenades. I made several posts during the alpha talking about how great infantry/vehicle balance was and on numerous occasions solo'd all 3 tank classes as a lone assault but I can't get shit done right now without the AT rocket, which was apparently nerfed?

the issue is engagement range for 90% of the AT weapons. majority are grenades and require to be right next to the fucking thing which will almost always kill you. meanwhile all the armored tanks can snipe you before you can even get close.

Pro-tip to people complaining that tanks are broken. Assaults AT mines can be put down instantly with no animation, so run up right against a tank, drop all three, it auto-switches you to your primary, unload into the pile of the three mines for an instant kill on any vehicle.
AT Grenades and Rocket Rifles are fucking awful and should never be used against tanks, just stack all three mines and unload.
To everyone who plays the medic class, if you see a dead teammate on your feet(me), revive his fucking ass rather than shooting out the window and getting yourself killed nigga!

I actually saw someone do this ingame. tbh I never complained about vehicles in the alpha but on this map without the AT rocket it's fucking awful.
Also if you're support and using the light AT-grenades and the ammo pouch you can pretty much be constantly throwing the grenades. I've killed a few tanks trying to take points by just constantly running around them and pelting them with grenades. I feel like there's no point to use any other grenade. You can still flush out and finish off f infantry with them and it gives you some sort of AT no matter what class you are

Gas grenades are a good area denial/smoke grenade. It's like pelting people with smoke in BC2, only it damages them too.

Not every medic may be carrying syringes, though. I have the rifle frag grenades and the medical crate, I focus on keeping people alive and enemies dead instead of reviving teammates.

I'm most excited about empires edge tbh, having a battleship as a behemoth would be fun as fuck.
Does the game crash a lot for anyone else? In the last 2 times I played I've had 4-5 CTD's.
A Verdun map would be really cool. Though there'd need to be like 3 or 4 flags dedicated to a fort.
