Welp, seems like the Beta is over.
Aside from the problem of the shitty positions of the Asian servers (all of them being in Japan with 200 ping), this honestly seems to be a game I might invest maybe atleast 300 hours in provided there's enough content and players.
The pros:
- No more location reveal when firing, makes the game more fun and skill-based as you're not glued to staring onto the minimap as much as BF4 anymore and playing shotgun or general sneaky beaky is actually more viable now
- [B][I]Fucking beautiful[/I][/B] graphics and effects even on all low settings. Since you're no longer staring at the minimap that much anymore, you get to appreciate the graphics of arguably one of the best game engines around to the fullest. Mud builds up on your weapon in this i mean for fucks sakes
- Gunplay and general weapons feel/aesthetics feel satisfying as [B]fuck[/B]. Literally beats out KF2 and Wolfenstein TNO for me in this with those two games already having orgasmic gunplay and aesthetics. The Russian 1895 L.A rifle, Model 10 shotgun and the M1911 in this game are all now my favorite video game sniper rifle, shotgun and pistol respectively.
- Sound design is best. This is a [I]fact[/I]. A scientifically proven [I]fact[/I]
- Music is also best. Would be great to have a volume slider, but I don't mind all that much
- The fact that each class now has a defined role and playstyle along with their own weaknesses/strengths. Engie/Support is no longer the ultimate one man army that can take on both tanks and infantry which is good. I also find myself switching classes more often in this game due to how different each class plays from each other and how they're all fun in their own way
- Tank gameplay seems to be pretty satisfying as far as I find the Mark V being a fun rolling killhouse and the Light Tank being a stupidly OP lil shit. Couldn't play the A7V that much because of how it seems to have its own fucked high sensitivity
- This deserves a point of its own and it's that the shotgun is now more consistent in CQC than in previous Battlefields and one-shots people more often
Cons
- CQC or melee combat to be more specific, seems a bit of a mess especially with the fact that mashing F guarantees a kill with the retarded hitbox and the CoD-style auto-aim snap. The bayonet charging also needs a bit of work especially since a ton of people just panic bayonet charge and kill a dude only 5 meters away from them, which tbh is cheap as fuck and needs to be looked at
- A few balancing issues with the Light Tank being the most obvious, though I never actually notice anyone complaining about any of the infantry weapons being OP which is suprising for a DICE Swede game
- There seems to be too many tanks in Rush, especially on the attackers side with either 2 or fucking 3 tanks whereas the defenders get 2 or even 1 which is obviously stupidly imbalanced
- Epic DICE coding with glitchy as fuck UI and shitty vaulting/climbing which can sometimes teleport you 30 meters back
- I honestly prefer the old conquest system as I find it common to see myself and a bunch of other players absolutely and hilariously slaughtering the enemy team, but having them still win because of some cheeky wanker in a jeep
- Connected to above point, revives are less important now as you can die 300 times and not lose tickets along with the shitty revive system currently in place
- General performance issues, including on how you need to set the game into a high priority to run it well
- General UI adjustments could be made i.e separate vehicle customization tab and more visible respawn timer
- The fact that they didn't just transfer over all the UI/HUD customization options from DICE LA's BF4 is baffling to me
Overall though, I really enjoyed the Beta and this game is definitely going to be one of the games I'll buy this Christmas, provided the amount of content would be enough to satisfy a sufficient player count.
This might be my favorite battlefield since bc2. Not that 3 and 4 aren't bad, but they really went into the fast paced gameplay hard. Don't think I've had 5 jet kills in either of them.

If I can just get rid of the lag that magically appears when I spawn or about to get a kill.
Did anybody else have problems where you are aiming directly at people but apparently shoot imaginary bullets that don't hit at all
They should also get on most of the terrain being imaginary too, I kept finding places where I could sink my entire body inside of the map and snipe out of it

and it adds the thrill of the enemy possibly dodging and shooting me instead
Do pistols do like 3 times the damage of rifles? Because as a cavalryman, I'll take a few sniper rifle shots and get away just fine, but if they pull out their pistol I die instantly from full health.
Hopefully the game has an actual front end this time around. I know the beta had one but you never know

I only managed to play the BF1 beta for ~3 hours, but I'm seriously considering buying it. I loved it!

Like I said, they were just deflecting people who thought they could convince a multi-million dollar company to change their business plan to a place where they could vent that didn't clog up their social media.
It was frustrating at first, but I liked this game in the end.
I noticed how fast you can rank up if you follow the squad leader's objective. Much faster than BF4 imo.
Loved being cavalry. Horses are cool.
You can still get sniped on them but finishing up to 5 guys on one run with only your saber was rad as fuck.
Here's me hoping for a cavalry only gamemode.

Man these are brutal af. It almost makes me uncomfortable. It looks like the victim's face is a little more expressive now too.
Melee takedowns in 3 and 4 are so dumb. They have zero impact.

hardline knife animations were pretty brutal too. I never really used a knife so I didnt see them much but damn. BF1 ones are the best/worst though. The crunching sounds the clubs make and the spurts of blood really add to the brutality.

The clubs are fucking brutal dude. It feels so good to crack your victim's skull and hear the club hit their head. The prone right is my favourite to do.

I only found one but it was OP as shit until someone came up behind me and saw legs sticking out.

This might be a bit nitpicky of me but can we customize whether or not we want a bayonet on our gun? because I noticed that the cavalry version of the Russian gun doesn't have one I was wondering if that could be an option for the other guns in the full game.

I've been having that issue too, where i'll crouch in a corner but my back sticks out of the wall and i get shot at.

I am 99.9% sure you can, just that customization option wasn't in the beta.

I did something like this in the very last game I played with the Gewehr 95, bayonetted one guy and immediately ran forward to bayonet his buddy before getting cut down by the third. Felt so badass.

those 7-10 seconds were intense though, almost felt like the combat in the Arkham games, it was so fluid. IIRC i shot the first guy with the SMG and brutalized the rest with spade and blade, and they were too busy pointing their rifles out of the windows to notice their squad being murdered with extreme prejudice
Bayoneting is weird
One second it feels really OP but the next, you aim straight at a guy and run at his chest and somehow magically deflect and proceed to bounce around the room unable to face him. It's really hit and miss.
Most of the time if the enemy gives enough of a shit to pay attention and actually shoots me as I charge then I die before I get to him. Honestly don't think they were OP at all.
