I hope that doesn't mean they plan on throwing out the feedback from the people they didn't send it to. I spent like an hour and a half on mine.
I doubt they will, just seems they'll be getting a little more feedback than they anticipated. Its not like the moderator in that thread was discouraging people from taking the survey.
i hope people point out how useless the support class is entirely.
tripmine needs a rework
it's literally so hard to use
Yo what happened to emblems in BF4?
not showing up at all for me and a bunch of friends of mine, played on about 4-5 different servers

I found the fact that support could resupply their own anti-tank grenades to be pretty useful. I hated the main guns, though.
Hopefully the mortar will be fun to use, it looks like there's gas mortar shells so they could very well be the bane of everyone's existence.

I throw my grenade, throw down an ammo pack to resupply, throw another grenade, resupply again, etc.
Grenade spam works surprisingly well

I agree with the resupply, I disagree with the guns. I dont know if you used the Madsen at all, but with the Trench variant just hipfiring I was able to outgun Medics and Assaults in close to mid range. Each one was different though and had different uses (like the suppressor MG15 being great at midrange)

too bad once people start using it on infantry they'll probably nerf the grenade replenishment rate to hell

Seeing infantry shrug off rifle rounds was really annoying though, it seemed like the MP-18 just did everything better than any of the LMGs at mid range.
The MG15 variant with the scope was great, all of the other LMG's just felt outclassed at close range by SMGs and midrange by self-loaders.

it just annoys me little when I see people who want the SMGs to work identically to how Assault Rifles worked in BF4. DICE is trying something new and interesting and people want the same old same old, yet I feel like these are the same people that would have complained the loudest if they made BF5 and it was set in modern times again.
Honestly SMGs need something like more spread or even no accuracy benefits from ADS. They should be amazing at close range but anything beyond that they should be outclassed by everything else.
also didn't know the train can call artillery and the artillery from rush targeted spotted people.
also knew nothing about a medal challenge system.
also didn't know the train can call artillery and the artillery from rush tarted spotted people.

I felt really bad when I got to the section on the survey about the medals because I had no clue that was even in there. I always saw the "no tracked medal" thing on the loading screen but I had no idea what to do with it, I just thought it wasnt in the beta. Hopefully they make it a little more obvious in the release game.

I knew they were there but I had no idea what they did
That depends what you're playing and what mode. I'd argue that canyon surrounding iirc [F] in Sinai is a hard chokepoint (especially if playing Rush) and I'd also argue that the very few indoor maps like Metro and Locker are chokepoints damn near all the way through.
[editline]a[/editline]
They're certainly not the focus of Battlefield, but they do exist.
Haha, completely forgot about Metro and Lockers because I avoid them like the plague. They really are the extreme opposite, and I don't think they really do the BF gameplay any favours.
I treat them like 2fort instaspawn servers in TF2; handy places to keep the worst of the community out of your normal servers.

I think SMGs are in a very good place right now. I don't think I would change anything with them. They have an accurate first shot so if you need to fire at long range targets you can do single shots, but they decimate at close range with 3-5 round bursts and it feels so good. They're just inaccurate enough, and it wouldn't be worthwhile to make them less accurate.

All I knew about the train was how much it fucked me in the ass when I trap to capture A every time.
Every time I tried to deploy on it the train was full so I couldn't deploy off it.

metro and locker were my most played maps in bf3 and bf4 because i enjoy not playing against people who do nothing but sit in a jet/chopper for the entire round and going 100/0.

The medals were totally broken for me. I tried to track one that told me to play 3 rounds of Rush and it never once updated the entire beta period.

Funnily enough those seemed to be the absolute best servers as far as community for me.
The medics actually revived people and unless your team pushes together you're not making any progress
Playing BF4 some more again, I forgot how effective tap firing makes everything. Assault rifles turn into automatic sniper rifles when tap firing. I'm really glad this isn't how it works in BF1.
there were still times in the beta that natural fronts formed for me, especially between B and C/D and F and C/D. Those were honestly the highlights of the whole beta for me, but they were few and far between.
C was more often than not a constant cluster fuck since it just takes 1 guy to sit there for a few others to always be able to spawn on him

Thats what made that youtuber mad when they got rid of that.
The biggest thing that annoys me about Support is that LMGs, especially high cap ones, have two issues against them that kill them for me. The spread factor and the overheat. One or the other i can handle, but both make me not want to use them. I feel like instead of supporting my team and suppressing the enemy, i'm micromanaging my weapon and reducing my situational awareness in order to minimize my downtime and then ending up with a lot of downtime anyhoots.

I think they're just inherent characteristics of the map design, though. Everyone's occupying the same space and lots of people use this to farm experience quickly.
I just never had great experiences on these maps.

Those two would make interesting alternatives to the armored train.

I don't think those two are 'big' enough to be Behemoths and if anything, they'd be great as faction-exclusive vehicles with longer-than-normal respawn times.
There's also other wacky stuff they could add into the game like the Tsar tank that would be interesting as hell to see as to how DICE would implement along with how it would interact with the glitchy fuckery known as Frostbite physics.
There's also this little Russian bugger that they could maybe add into the Russian Empire DLC. Just make it a lot more fragile than the FT while giving it sanic speed.
I honestly like the idea of the LMGs in the beta, The accuracy ramping mechanic seemed to promote avoiding direct confrontation and instead focusing on getting a good midrange position. In a good place the accuracy ramp lets you wipe entire groups of enemies provided you don't stop firing, or at the very least keep them suppressed. If you think of the LMGs more like a tool for that scenario rather than a primary run and gun then you'll get far better results, I think it's another example of Dice trying to give each class a different style of play over BF3/4's homogenised gameplay.
The big problem with that is overheating though, going to the effort of getting a good position seems wasted when you're limited to only about 30 rounds at a time when using the LMGs as intended. as it stands overheating really seems to conflict with the other mechanics, it would be better with a much longer time to overheat or possibly even no overheat at all across the board in my opinion.
The LMGs felt great to use and you can do some amazing shit on them, but yeah I agree that overheat should be removed except for the MG15 since that thing's fucking great as is.
It's bad enough that you're practically helpless in CQC, have way less rounds in the mag compared to BF4/BF3 and that you have to give away your position to fire, having the gun overheat is just unnecessary and makes LMGs a lot harder to use than they should be.
